Suddenly got these emails from this awful company thinking I'm gay and now I can't get rid of them I'm know going to see what I can do to sue this company for claiming I'm gay

This site use to be good a couple years back but that's not the case anymore. Nobody talks much but yet they say they're lonely and need people to talk with. They'll talk behind your back to other users. There is supposedly around 30,000 members but most of them are not on the site anymore. If you join, you'll see the same users daily which is about 25-35. There is concern about security on the site but the webmaster won't acknowledge this. Another problem is a user creating 2 accounts, sometimes even 4 or more accounts. This use to be a dating site but not so much because most of the users aren't looking for a relationship or anything of the sort. It may sound nice, talking to others with similar problems but I didn't have a good time there and neither have a lot of others that I spoke with. One last thing. Be very careful who you talk to and what you talk about because that person could have multiple accounts and you wouldn't know who is who. Also avoid the online chat. The worst users are in there.

While the site claims that racist, sexist and otherwise offensive content is not permitted, there is virtually nobody who moderates the writing section. This allows neo nazis to run rampant ( one user even has a Hitler avatar). There are endless, repetitive rants about how men are superior to women, accentuated by frequent "choice words" such as "sluts". 'Should women be allowed to vote' or 'Why is the white race better than the black race ' are considered worthwhile discussion subjects on this site. Women who protest will be treated with ridicule and condescension while males who disagree with these extremist views are labeled " effeminate".
There are lenghty explanations highlighting the evilness of Islam alternating with judgmental bible preaching,
Although the Mission Statement declares that users "don't have to hide those pill bottles anymore", members who talk about their prescribed psychiatric medications are vilified and labeled 'drug abuser',
Various religious fanatics promote the idea to deal with severe mental illness using non pharmaceutical modalities only,
This website maybe suitable for dim witted males with an inferiority complex, but ladies, folks of African descent or non Christian faith: Run!
As dating sites in general suffer from a notorious under representation of women, this one seems to deteriorate fast into an all white sausage party,

I was here during when the site was new and when it was remodeled. It sucked both times.

The first time I was here it was more of a social media site than a dating site. Which was fun! Until I realized that the majority of the site was trolls. They were sexist and evil people that no one would want to interact with. There was one particular active user here who was completely openly sexist and was cruel. I tried to date him and he kept saying he was going to kill himself and when I found out he was sexist he said, "I thought you were different but then I realized you were common" and kept calling people "sluts". There was a religious poster here who acted like she had borderline personality disorder and if anyone knows what that disorder is like you know what I'm talking about (I used to have it and yes I was a bad person).

Then when I came back to the site years later I found that the awesome blog posts had been removed but the terrible chat room was still up. Most of the bad people hung out in the chat room! And the messages were free but only for a little bit. Other than that you had to pay.

There always were only about 200 active users. There's really NO ONE there. I did meet two good people. I met a nice Canadian man (before he turned evil) and a very VERY nice man from New York who I met on the site who moved in with me and lived with me for 3 years before leaving me because he said I was too dysfunctional (I knew him when he was sick but he got better).

So yes this is a 1 star site. I may have found an A+ man here but overall everything here really really sucks.

I will say this though, most Christian men won't marry a mentally ill woman. So if you're Christian and mentally ill maybe you should try here. I've never been able to find people who wanted to wait until marriage on the regular sites until recently. Basically Christian and mentally ill means you're undateable. Christians don't love the mentally ill they want people who are perfect.

I like the site, chatroom is the best. You can always find people who understand your problems. Everyone is friendly, mods are great, Alyona is the best <3

This is a very special wepsite. I wanted to share so perhaps others like me can find benefit. I am Bi-polar and with treatment you would never know about my mental illness. But I carry a burden that only foks like me can understand. How do we tell someone about it? When do we tell them.? "what do you mean you are mentally ill, or bi-polar" Well I read about this site in a New Your Times article.
The rules are simple. You must be mentally ill one way or another. And you will be asked the nature. That basic membership is free. And it is not a teaser you get to write and search. There is a fancy one I have not gotten yet. I am going to. I think I am going to leave that as something for you to reasearch. I The webmaster is active and gets back very fast... I have not been spammed in the weeks I have been a member. And if you are special like me it is a safe place to find a pen-pal or friendship without worry so check out no longer lonley, not tons of people yet but perhaps you will find a place just fo us special folks!

I've been on this site forever. I will tell you one thing you will come across on the site with many people that will help you and listen in your time of need. I have had exchanged gifts mutely with members for various reasons. I am not telling to join the sites so you can get gifts, its the meaning behind the gift that someone cares for you. There are some shady people on NLL that are just on some negative path for sure you will discover that in time, just like any where else. It's like that old saying goes, " there is always a bad apple amongst the bunch". Nobody is perfect and the site can at times can be helpful. As for dating its really hard to find someone that is local and tons of people are all over the USA and the world. Lots of long distance and online relationships. The web master used to seem to care however now it appears he is otherwise preoccupied or overwhelmed with the site. He does not return emails to members or take users off the site that have been proved to be abusive & unsafe. He believes in second chances which are good will of faith, We all mess things up from time to time nobody is perfect. People get in disagreements and have differences it happens. However these people will be allotted years and years of chances terrorizing and traumatizing other members. I used to moderate the site for years, I was really devoted to the community of NLL it once gave me a purpose. Sadly after some time, I could not handle the mischief in chat anymore and decided not to moderate; The site it has changed for the worst and it's a free for all. Yet still I am a member because I have a family circle of member that are through hard and good times. I basically keep in contact with certain members. I am not writing this to point fingers or call names everyone has there own personal experience. I encourage you take a chance see for yourself. I highly suggest to just beware of the people whom are unstable that are not there for betterment and personal growth. I hope you will try the NLL site because there are a few and far between good caring people are still on there if your in a crisis or need to talk to people whom are also suffering from mental illness.
