UPDATE: Of the "8,404" active accounts, 6,517 are located in Lebanon, Kansas. These accounts are actively sending out duplicate messages en masse, which in order to view you must be a member. The site auto detects and inputs your location when you sign up, so 80% of people (clearly a bot) are being run out of one small city which has a population of 178. Nearly everything about this site after the overhaul is FAKE. Buyer BEWARE.

Update 2: I have "sent messages" in my account I've never sent. I assume whatever bot they're using detects my account as inactive because I haven't sent or read any messages, so now they're sending messages to actually active users on my behalf.

I'm just going to keep updating this thing because it's almost so blatant it's unreal.

The site has never been perfect but you could argue it was previously usable. The webmaster outsourced the work and maintenance of the site to a company called White Label Dating and was played up as a big revamp but the site is less feature rich and harder to navigate than before. To access any messages you need to be a paying member which will run you $30 a month, less if you're willing to commit to 6 months or a year, but I wouldn't recommend it as previously the site had "lifetime memberships" which the webmaster and new management company do not honor.

If you're feeling really generous and lonely you can pay $15 a month so that other members can read and reply to your messages even if they're free users... keeping in mind this is a site that had at most maybe 20-30 active users before this massive paywalling.

To the webmaster: unless you are a major breakthrough dating app, people are not going to pay for BASIC FUNCTIONALITY in a niche subpar dating site. There are other ways to recoup losses if you believed in the work you were doing, but this isn't it. There are free apps which include messaging and matching with OPTIONAL premium features and many more people to choose from and all of them local.

The "video stories" meant to entice users to buy into membership are from people that don't even have accounts on the website. They're fake. The ease of navigation is actually a downgrade. I realize running a domain isn't free but this sort of paywalling will kill the site and make it just another graveyard of fake profiles dating site trying to pull a few bucks out of people lonely enough to find the site on google. Really sad.

There's definitely a place for a niche dating site like this, but it is unusable and basically requesting the same kind of money people use for premium access to an app like Tinder or Bumble while taking away the free functionality.

I've met a couple of women here who were great before the great paywall was implemented, i've bought lifetime membership twice despite its shortcomings... so it's a shame to see the site basically take its last breath if it continues on this course because it is now completely unusable.

I made this because I kind of like crazy girls but its really not worth it what so ever. Out of the couple hundred results that popped up only 2... yes exactly 2 no exaggeration. Have been on in the past year. I got a message(oh lucky me. NOT) and it didn't show me anything until i paid 10 dollars for a membership. I opened the message and replied. This whale lord who messaged me was not only a total 0/10 (maybe even a negative rating HAHAHA) but boundary breaking and stalkingly annoying. She/it put one face pic up and me trying to be nice gave her/it my Instagram. The IG was private and was not revealed until a few DMs. I wish I hadn't even paid to see the messages to be brutally blunt. This lady was the size of a 6 foot tree with branches and all. She had the audacity to message ME, an easy 7 on a bad day and a 10 on my best to some girls/women in the past. Is she that mentally unsound that she thinks someone of her disgusting kooks can message ME... let alone keep doing it once i saw her pictures and stopped replying? What the hell dude! She was also making me uncomfortable. Asking about dates and saying i needed sex... LADY, I DON'T EVEN KNOW YOUR CONCIOUSNESS. WHY IN THE LORDS NAME WOULD I GET INTO THAT THE FIRST 5 SECONDS WE TALK?!?!?!? The username was Conifertree for anyone who needs a heads up. If you see her on the page BLOCK her immediately! Oh man that fache gives me the chills. SMFH... Anyway screw NLL and screw whoever's left on that b. S. Aside from having nobody left, the people there are low quality and theyre delusional where they have a heightened ego. I looked up miss Conifer Tree on Google and her files lie about her having a 6/7 figure income and one page even has a picture of a pretty girl... NOOO CATFISH! I feel downright insulted and utterly contaminated that this creature messaged me and that I stooped to the lowest common denominator and engaged the beast in conversation. Yuck! Get off this terrible site and use another one. I want that 10 dollars back!

I'm not going to say people are bad as some have, as the vast majority truly aren't. The reason you see some negatives here is a consequence of chucking umpteen of us together in one place who have mental health issues for various reasons, It was never going to be easy. This is a site in all honesty that could be more harmful to you and your own mental health than good and wont be for everyone. There are hundreds maybe thousands, possibly even hundreds of thousands (you'll be so lucky Jim) that have left for this very reason. For some it may work for others it most definitely will not.

With that all said, you'd expect then the owner having claimed to be one of us to have a more hands on approach. That in a community such as this would be a near necessity. So then you can't excuse the poor irresponsible manner, have to say lackadaisical approach to running the site they have taken. They only ever seem to listen to a select few members, very conveniently. Genuine requests or concerns put forward from the community seem to be largely dismissed with a few tried and tested prepared statements for the occasion. It's all "he said she said" "paranoia" and "toxic" amongst a slew of other tired excuses. Yes the owner says these things to mental health community members, nice that. But hey keeps things simple and ticking over how you want it without the need to do, well anything basically. Minimum effort for maximum profit is the mantra my friends and it's a slogan most befitting the site these days. Laughably I and others have even been threatened with legal action in the past for saying the site is poorly managed

And what privilege did they bestow upon us long suffering members having finally given the NLL community the long awaited and promised face lift. Not forgetting the incredible generosity that was the site demolition job, whereby the much loved forum, blog, art, story and poem sections amongst others were given the heave-ho. A mere week or so after maybe less, a 2 times price hike from 20 dollars (may have even been 10 at one point) to 40 was introduced. The problem is you see, people with a mental illness showing they have a mental illness (or being toxic as they'd call it). So it's you who was damaging the sites reputation as he claimed, it's you who's costing him his chances of making money from you because you and your mental illness were on public display. Hence getting rid of those sections

So we're now left with the chatroom, the only remaining survivor to the NLL cull where all his henchmen hang out, one of the reasons it still remains?. Which in no way (as we can see from various reviews here) is any different. That too has toxicity as he likes to call it whenever there is criticisms of the site or people with a mental illness showing they have a mental illness. The difference is the chatroom is hidden away in a handy little cubbyhole and resets itself.

NLL use to be a social network site with all that it had, now it's a shadow of it's former self having been stripped bare (easy money) and declared a dating site as it was all along apparently?... Of course it was of course, that's why it use to be what $10 with all those features and is now $40 with none of them... How very charitable and kind to your wallet. :D

I am premium member for more than 2 years, I have triple diagnosis of OCD+Bipolar II+ADHD, but this site when I joined was only for blogs otherwise I wouldnt have bothered paying $20. But what the mods have done makes me even more sick than I am even on medicines. And I dont know why Jim doesnt bother to rearrange all moderators, or he even doesnt bother to just say hi in chatroom in rare appearence.

But, worse is I have been harassed by the moderator especially the Russian for quite some time and even now, who accuse me for being pedophile on basis of once written blog post of age >=12 (Japan AoC=13) being adult and even corrected on Andrew's insistence for concern of present day violation of Age of Consent related crimes that UK or EU has set 16. They take personally on me saying - "I need 12 yo wife, gf, ete, etc.", again and again in chatroom.
