Although Next Door insists on full disclosure, it is dangerous to put one's privacy at risk.
Lately, I was booted off, permanently, for using a pseudonym. I have no idea how I was discovered, however, my anonymity was rightly so, after receiving bitter responses only those hiding behind a screen dare give. They skirt the "disrespectful" guideline continually, yet I'm suppose to expose myself to the point one of these anger management candidates should track me down & possibly harm me? NO
Another unabashed issue is that of accepting nefarious paid avertissements. People like Sundae & Open Door are poaching our homes for Investors. Disgusting!
Too much information shared and overbearing inane moderation. They let the first guy who sets your neighborhood up moderate so it's a crapshoot. All it did for me was make me realize what whiny b*tches I have for neighbors. Avoid.
* of Sunset Point in North Texas has once again somehow obtained a lead position with Nextdoor.

A biased progressive site run by haters based in, where else, disgusting America hating dingbats in San Francisco.
The moderators are so juvenile and childish they resort to high school censoring tactics
If they don't agree with your point of view, like most liberals. They can't handle objective dialogue and difference of opinion, they simply suspend you lmao
Join for laughs nothing else.
Stay away as their dismal reviews recommend
You'll be glad you did.
You will be harassed, taunted and banned for being civil but defending your self. They do not read the posts to see why passive aggressives complain to get one banned because they can't handle truth. This is a lame site with massivly whining neighbors who are full of themselves. They can say nasty things but you cannot. I fart in this sites general direction. Bunch of babies run it.
I have used Nextdoor for a while. My previous neighborhood wasn't in the best part of the county, but people posted great opportunities ex: neighborhood clean ups, reviewing a small business and those sorts of things. Recently, we moved to a better neighborhood and seriously, these people complained constantly about everything from how supermarket baggers didn't place their bags into a shopping cart to profiling every person who they deemed not suitable for their neighborhood. A new business was sending some people door to door to tell people about their services and boy, did that start something. Police were called, description of vehicles and license plates posted. It was just too much. I deleted my account and wrote a detailed reason why. I'd rather enjoy my nice, new home without being bombarded by my neighbors' paranoid delusions.
I filed a true complaint about my Mayor. In Rowlett Texas. And because I used her number on file with the city I was blocked. Guess this app is only for people not wishing to show whats actully happening next door...
How sad, something that should be an awesome app is nothing more than a harvesting of personal info disguised as something "good" - I'd really like to know more about this company. How do they make their money - because it's not by helping neighbors. Aside from the few politicos the rest of the posts were canned. Canned because my sister across the country told me about this great website when I moved. It seems the same Fido was lost and then found in her state... seriously, I don't have time for this but I'm pissed enough that I will find out what they're up to and it's not very "neighborly" - at this point they have a low BBB rate and the few articles where from 4 to 5 years ago. Once I unpack, I will investigate.
I love Nextdoor because in this busy society it is the best way to get to know my neighbors. All of my neighbors. The ones that I appreciate for their neighborly advice and community support, and the ones I don't appreciate so much. Like the ones that are rude, don't take care of their property and attempt to drag other people down. That said, I know who they are because of Nextdoor! It's also a great place to learn about police, fire, and weather emergencies, traffic reports, other community news and events. Some of our neighbors even post good deals on grocery items at some of our local grocery stores.:-) I sold our old dryer on Nextdoor and didn't pay anything to do it. There are so many good reasons to use Nextdoor.
FOUND! A window washing company (Oct. 29-'22) you would want to tell your neighbors about. The name is Sunglass Window Cleaners, *******439. Keagan provides an on-site estimate, promptness, courtesy, competitive price and a scientific application that leaves windows spotless. I'm sold. J. Allison, Cumming, GA.
Received suspension on next door for unknown reasons. The only thing I posted was teenagers frequent posts they oppose and troll other posters. Sometimes using uncivil, threatening statements with fooul language belittling other posters. I asked other members in order for us to not get frustrated and react to mute or block them. Later that morning my account was suspended. I also don't agree with moderators intersecting on sites posting thier bias and in one case claimed to know military law while impersonating a ex marine. His claim was they violated UCMJ 128 a felony of misconduct and would be court Marshalled and discharged when there is factual basis for this statement
We had Ken's Kooling replace our old A/C & Heating System. We couldn't have been happier with their service.
They answered all of our questions, were professional and did a great job.
I would recommend this company without hesitation. Keep up the good work!
This platform starting to scare me, especially because we have quite a few QAnon members and a pro-Trump forever love Trump "group" called KAG2021 (Keep America Great 2021) who knows what they are plotting... The reside here in sunny Carlsbad, California if you would like to know... lol... There are several people that I have concerns with - comments becoming uncomfortable to contend with. Going to deactivate my account with nextdoor. It is starting to be too political and many people on there always try to slip right wing comments, QAnon theories, themes from Tucker Carlson, etc. not my piece of cake. Beware - best not to say anything, use it for entertainment purposes only.
I was a fan of this app. I thought that, unlike other forums, the usual pseudo macho and know-it-all, let's all pounce on hapless victims BS, wouldn't occur. HOWEVER, almost every time I posted, I would be harassed by one member, in particular, who didn't even disclose his last name. Recently, he made some very insulting remarks. I reported him but nothing happened.
I finally had enough and I fired back. I ended up getting banned for my comments, even though I reported him for continually posting sarcastic, irrelevant and insulting comments in response to my posts. Instead of looking at the history of both users, I was singled out because HE was offended.
This app is no different from any other forum, where bored, insecure people come to take out their oent up aggressions.
NextDoor is a left winged hate site disguised as a neighborhood app. I have never run into a bunch of more liberal, inane, hateful, intolerant hypocrites in my entire life. The leads are given much leeway with your private info. There have been cases here of liberal leads posting information they gleaned from the site and even reported, they were not disciplined. This site is chock full of anti-white rhetoric, 'white privilege' nonsense, and unscientific Covid misinformation. If you like leftist, intolerant, racist, mean and trite treatment? ND's the ticket.
This app is completely compromised.
There has been multiple times where I have posted very helpful things in regards to what's happening right now with va*ccines and all of these posts are being deleted by Nextdoor. Its like Facebook, compromised! They want people to die! I've boycotted FB, now I'm boycotting Nextdoor. They should be ashamed of themselves being complicit in people's dealths!
Gutter solutions llc gets 5 stars! Very High quality and installers are top notch! I called them on Saturday evening and aean came out at 9am Monday morning.we agreed on a price and Ronaldo and his crew installed the gutters and guards Thursday in one day and they are absolutely beautiful! If you live southern ga call this company!
I joined this website over a week ago, and started getting emails enquiring about my cleaning with some woman's name on who is a line sham cleaner. These emails kept coming so I thought they were genuine enquiries. Then I was given the height of abuse from these enquirers saying they aren't for you, and threatening my company with bad comments. This site is run by a gang of tossers in the US. Absolutely horrible people don't bother signing up it's full of low life weirdos..
The for sale and free items are amazing... and much safer than Craigslist... you know the people are legit and not some scammer from Nigeria or a rapist or robber trying to take advantage... the worst thing is the Nextdoor site leaves items listed for long after the seller has sold it or long after free items are gone from alleyways and curbs..
Seriously this site is useless. Maybe you can see who's cat is missing, useful no doubt. But they sent out invitational marketing postcards for the site in the mail to my neighbors asking them to sign up without my knowledge or permission. My neighbor is an elderly woman well she's not a nice person, she drinks at 8am then obsesses about stray cats $#*!ting in her flower bed. She has my phone number and drunk dials me. Now she's obsessing about the postcard she got from me. Seriously it sucks.
Answer: The negative reviews are honest reactions to being duped into sharing too much personal information (that Nextdoor now owns and will NEVER delete and will continue to sell to advertisers until your dying day) to join a site that seems friendly on the surface, but which does NOTHING to protect users. I was bullied by a convicted murderer, who is a Lead in my neighborhood--and I was banned from the site for complaining. Leads are nothing more than early adopters of the site who have been assigned power over other users so that Nextdoor does not have to police it's own site. In short: No. The negative reviews are not wrong. Heed them! I wish I had known before it was too late!
Answer: Forget about nextdoor and leads. Get a life, a real one. Don't waste your time with toxic online communities that tend to get the worst out of people. My advise is run away while you still have some dignity left.
Answer: Kay is right. That is their policy. However, don't expect them to hold to it. We have leads unfairly removing only some people's comments and Nextdoor does nothing about it. Best bet, dump nextdoor.
Answer: Neighborhood. Rocks is in development. Another 6 months.
Answer: Truth is like oil and water. As long as the scam artist have enough venture capital (other people's money) they will continue to shake the bottle leaving it a murky view obscuring the truth. Run out of cash, they'll be exposed for the incompetent boobs they are and the top dogs will clear out their bank accounts and move on to the next scam. One look at their "leading edge tech" pulled right out of the 1980's is proof enough they will die in the tar pits just like the fellow dinosaurs. Want a state of the art app? Check out https://wiggio.com or www.neighborhoodlink.com
Answer: Dallas, SiteJabber rates it at 16%. It would surely rate lower if there weren't so many fake positive reviews. Folks review Nextdoor either 1 or 5. The fives read like ads about Nextdoor's features and potential. The ones are written by real people and give accounts of how awful their experiences were.
Answer: Several other reviewers on this site have had the same thing happen to them. We have been fully banned from nextdoor (beyond just "suspension"), but they keep our profiles, and sometimes our names still appear in the neighbor registry. They refuse to remove us fully, I suppose, in an attempt to misrepresent our endorsement and participation there. It's clearly unethical, but their TOS states that they can do this, as any nd apologist will point out.
Answer: Here's a tidy answer from corporate... Hi Colleen, Thanks for getting back to me. Our Community Guidelines prohibit posting about Lead activity on the main newsfeed. If your Leads are inactivate and youre concerned about moderation in your neighborhood, you should reach out directly to Nextdoor Support. If you have any specific concerns I can help you with at this time, please let me know. Best, Amanda Nextdoor However, the minute you alert corporate to issues with leads in your community you'll find your account terminated. They are very protective of the information surrounding who really is controlling the activities on the boards. Most people in my community are under the misguided impression that corporate is in control. They don't even consider it is their neighbor who sits in judgement.
Answer: Nextdoor wants your full legal name, house number and address and your email address that they link all together. As an added bonus... They have a little map that you can click on. That way if, OMG, you offend someone the little map leads them straight to your house. Run, do not walk, away from this site. No good comes from Nextdoor.
Answer: Your name and address will be known to everyone who uses the NextDoor application and website. I don't suggest using it. I recently discovered that low income apartments in ghetto areas might be able to use the application to do crime. Car theft, asaaults, kidnapping and just about everything else under the sun.
Nextdoor has a rating of 1.9 stars from 3,047 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Nextdoor most frequently mention social media, real name and free speech. Nextdoor ranks 503rd among Social Network sites.
