My prom is in a couple of months and I wanted to order the evening by allure dress A319 but all these reviews are seriously put offing, I live in the UK and If there is a faults with the dress as people say. What should I do has anyone actually had a problem with ordering this exact dress? And if they send me the wrong size or colour or dress in general can I get it changed or get my money back. Please help me!
I had ordered a dress, day later they called that it was not in stock in my size, so i found another one i like and ordered it, the same thing happened! Finally i just decided i was done with this site, so now i have to wait up to 5 days to receive my money back.

I ordered my daughters homecoming dress on a Friday afternoon. I get an email 5 days later in such an informal letter stating " your dress you ordered is not available danny " nothing else! I have since emailed "danny" back and emailed the company from the main website with no contact back. I have also called he company every day last week and this week and it just says "I'm sorry the party you have called is unavailable". It is now a week from said email, and when I click on status on my account it just says refunded. I have no refund in my account. I smell scam and fraudulent company! Stay far away!

I am never going to order from here again! I ordered a dress for prom, and the quality looked really poor. I returned it and ended up losing $35! And got store credit in return. When i wanted to return it back to my card THERE TELLING ME that they have to take more money away if i wanted the money back. Are you serious?!?! That's not fair, and that's not right.
They may say easy return, but really it may be easy to return, but also easy for them to keep taking money away.

They price match to other sites but not their own. I saw a dress last night for 179, I guess they say it sold first thing this morning and they will price match to any other sites but their own? Very bad customer service, they would not offer any other solutions, they were actually very annoyed with me and hung up on me. I would never purchase from them again.

I purchased a dress from NYC on the night of 4/5 and cancelled my order on Saturday 4/7. I received a standard email from NYC informing me that I was being charged a 25% restocking fee even though the dress had not shipped.
However, if I take ownership of the dress and return it, I will be charged 15% restocking fee. It makes no sense to be charged more if the dress hasn't shipped. I called several times and was told this is company policy. I was informed via email that the dress shipped yesterday 04/09. I have concerns that this is a scam and I will not be refunded for my purchase. Something to be said for going to a reputable company like Saks, etc.

The reason we charge a 25% cancellation fee is because this is the fee the designer charges us to cancel an order. If you receive the dress and decide you would like to make a return, we charge a 15% restocking fee because once a dress is purchased, we can no longer return it to the designer and must hold it on our stock. We always give the option of an exchange if a return is not something a customer would like to do.

This site is legit! It's ridiculous to see people on here claim they sell fake dresses when it is NOT TRUE. Get your facts straight people! NYDress does not carry knockoffs! If you are unhappy with the dress, that is your problem- don't take it out on the company and call them fakes because you're simply unhappy with the product! It doesn't mean they're fake or have horrible service because you're unhappy and probably a nightmare customer. And as far as complaining about returns, why would you expect to be able to buy something and return it, no questions asked? Criminal type people like to do that! That's not bad business of NYDress; if anything, allowing an exchange or store credit is more than generous!

They are the worst company ever. I purchased a dress off of their site for a special occasion. The dress didn't fit correctly, so I wanted to return it. They made a huge deal about not giving me my money back, instead giving me store credit. I fought with them because I knew I'd never order from them again, so they finally agreed to give me SOME money back (not the entirety of what I paid for my dress). I returned the dress, and a month later I still do not have the money they owe me.

Ordered a dress - took 12 days to receive it. After following their size guidelines, I ordered my standard size but it was too small and did not measure up to the guidelines posted. They informed me that if they did not receive it in 7 days (not business) that they would refuse receipt of the dress and I would receive no credit. With such a slow turn-around time, I had to buy a dress locally for the ball which I was attending, and now I am waiting again for the replacement. In the future, I'll rely on a hands-on experience in a local establishment.

1. Appearance and material quality - looks and feel like cheap polyester
2. The dress was not packed adequately- all jumbled up
3. Beads were missing and some were loose - even the address label came off
4. The size was incorrect - I took a size 4 but it fits a size 8
The design is fabulous but its a shame that the end result isn't reflective of all the efforts made by the dress architecture. Mr Kourosh Babain.
I suggest that only dresses under $400 should be bought from this site. If you have a big event, this is not the place to scout for an attire.

I purchased an amazing dress from New York Dress last month and was really impressed with everything from the product to the customer service. The dress is gorgeous, fantastic quality and I would never be able to purchase the same in australia for that price. For those that complain about sizing - when you order anything online you run the risk of it not fitting. I know i can walk into most shops and fit items from a XS through to a Med because all fits/cuts/fabrics are different. So happy with NYD and will definetly be purchasing more gowns in the future!

It's unfortunate that everyone had that type of experience. However, a girlfriend of mine has been shopping at this website and has only spoke of the great experience she received from this company... She also brags about the authentic designs she gets from there. I decided to buy my white goddess Jovani dress with gold chains after seeing it on Adrian from the Housewives of Beverly Hills and the staff there was more than helpful. I was even able to speak to the stylist there, who assisted me with my sizing. I will definitely be ordering again for my wedding... Alfred Angelo here I come!

After spending months looking for the perfect dress for my year 11 prom, I found this site and instantly found the dress I wanted. I was weary about ordering from this company as there are many scam dress sites online. I ordered and recieved a phone call from the company based in New York to recheck my order to make sure it was okay. Dress delivered and was exactly as it was in the picture, although slightly too big so make sure to check the size guide carefully. Excellent quality and would 100% order from here again.
