Changed Cruise

NCL change our cruise from 4 stops to only 2 any going back to New York counts as one stop. A 7 day cruise and only going to Bermuda would really suck. They never asked if my e-mail was still the same as the last time we took a cruise back in 2019 they just assumed it was correct which it was not. So I never was notified that the cruise information was changed till I called to conform that we where all set for for our trip in March. Will never sail on this cruise line again. Bad customer service

I got back from bridal party getaway, I didn't think I would like being on a cruise ship even though it seemed like they had a lot of offer. I was way off, I love it! It was so much fun! They food was great and we could eat anytime we wanted, we did as many of the shore excursions as we could. We signed up early for most but we did do a couple on a wimp and we were lucky we got to do them, since they fill up fast. My bf and I shared a room and it was plenty big for us. I'm already planning another cruise for a Thanksgiving getaway. If you have try cruising, give it a go, you might just be surprised, like I was.

Deadly Excursion
April 16, 2024

My husband and I were on our 14th NCL cruise on April 3,2022. We left from California and sailed to Mexico on the Norwegian Bliss. On April 6,2022, we arrived in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. We paid NCL for an ATV excursion (listed on the NCL website) called "Puerto Vallarta, Mexico ATV Adventure and Village Tour". This is a dangerous and unsafe excursion. It killed my husband. The safety orientation was inadequate. The ATV tires did not have sufficient tread. My husband died of a skull fracture due to the cheap and inadequate helmet. NCL does no safety inspection and denies any responsibility for the tours it sells to its guests.

Book a family trip and they give you a flight that keeps a child up until 1am. Talk about trouble free cruising been on the phone for and they keep on giving us crappy flights and then not giving us what they said they would watch the small print! Don't believe anything they tell you verbally everything must be in writing cannot be trusted.

After getting the runaround for months.

Customer services point the finger agent and agent say it is them
Costing me extra $2000 for better fights

Ripoff of credits.

I just want people to know that NCL will refuse to return monies if you are too sick to go. Even if you are diagnosed with cancer as I am. The reason they give you is they already took your money as penalties when you cancelled. I have cruised for 50 years. DO NOT cruise with Norwegian. EVER. Not if it was the last remaining cruise company. They are unethical. Dishonest. They treat customers miserably. They took thousands from us this last time.

I booked this cruise over a year ago and this isn't our first cruise with them. Yet they called me 2 days before leaving to tell me my husband isn't allowed on the ship because of his background. 2 days? You tell me with 2 days notice? For a trip I planned over a year ago?

What kind of crap shoot is this? Who does this? I had to break the news to my elderly mother, and my two teen daughters.

Even if my hubby was allowed to cruise on your ships, I'm good. I don't need to cruise with you, nor do I want to anymore.

I get people are "worried" over ex cons, but in my eyes, they served their time, they did their part. If they haven't reoffended, they shouldn't be discriminated against. And this is discrimination to the T.

The worse experience
April 24, 2022

We waited 6 hours just to check in. Basically we wasted the whole day by checking in. To make it worse, we can't even book the dinning. All restaurants were always full. I bought two primary dinning but weren't able to eat. So wasted the money. All services were bad because they were under-staffed. It's our first trip on cruise and we were so disappointed. Won't take this cruise again.

I enjoyed the fresh pineapple, dried fruits, and wide array of foreign dishes that were prepared in the buffet, but some of the drinks were pre-made so they weren't as fresh. In certain restaurants, you had to pay an additional $17, even if you pre-paid.

INCOMPETENT
September 23, 2023

Customer service reps are disrespectful and rude. Once final payment Is received, all benefits discussed and promised in the package disappears. They put you on hold for 30 minutes at least pretending to seek supervisor assistance. This tactic has been used several times with my family and friends. The issue is never resolved. A cruise concierge from the Fort Lauderdale office told a relative his job was to make sales, not to resolve his NCL problems. I was told that seniors needed to realize that they were no longer a functioning, needed section of society, therefore our complaints were no prioritized.

Eastern Mediterranean cruise from Athens to Turkey, Greece,Israel and Cyprus starting on June 25,2023 on the Norwegian Jade. NCL made the plane reservations for us with Lufthansa. The plane from New York to Munich was delayed so ground operations decided to have 50 passengers go to their connecting flights and we didn't get the luggage until 6 days later. NCL offers Kosher meal options which we used before and was great. They changed vendors and the food was horrible. When I complained they offered my family of six a total credit of $200 on a future cruise without promising that they have a plan to make it better. That's $200 on next cruise when we were without clothes for 6 days and we were hungry for seven. Never Again

No food worth eating on breakfast buffet. Hawaii cruise on Pride Of America will be our last dollar spent with this cheap cruise line. Restrooms poolside smelt like a zoo, waiter at bar couldn't wait to close up and told my friends this. Missed going to Maui due to fire, sorry to the locals who depend on tourists but the whole island didn't burn. I would have dropped some money (Love to support the little guy) but NCL didn't want to stop. Try another cruise line and let this company starved. Nothing to say nice about a cruise with zero ambiance. Not even an ice carving, just cold food.

Worst Cruise Line, ever!

Mediocre food at best, poor service. Beware! NCL incompetence and disinterest in their own errors caused me to pay out hundreds of dollars due to their own screwups. They have "Guest Experience Coordinators" whose main job is to bamboozle and scam you out of your money. Stay away from this cruise line no matter how "good" the deal seems!

Sailed in May 2023 on the Ncl Sky.

Arrived at FLL airport - waited 2 hours since 11pm for transportation to arrive.

The 2 reps working the booth had no answers on where the delays stem from and their supervisor says it is what it is.

Finally bus arrived but sole driver loading and unloading all bags himself while 3 reps watch.

NCL needs to know how bad these sub-contractors are. I notified Ncl customer relations asking for a refund of transfer fees and they replied with a generic form letter saying thanks but they will forward to the appropriate dept.

Several follow up requests and subsequent replies saying no compensation is forthcoming and case closed. No escalation, just a subjective no.

Disaster
October 13, 2023

There is so much that went wrong that I don't know where to start. First off, I have taken many cruises and the next comment is the meanest thing I can say. NCL is on par with Carnival.
80% of the workers were absolutely rude as can be. Theyre nearing the last 2weeks of their 8 month contract apparently so many won't renew so they simply don't care. Our stateroom attendant was the worst of them all. Nothing onboard was open. The swimming pool never open, water park. Go karts mini golf laser tag all closed. They said it's b/c of rain but it literally rains at sea every day and it was minima rain. They got us late into port by 90 minutes and it was Canada so it took even longer. We had dinner reservations with friends in Victoria which we missed. It's already the shortest stop at 3.5 hours so you'd think they'd extend time but no. So we had 2 hours maximum which is no time at all. They just don't care at all about service and that's really sad.

Overcharges for beverages
February 24, 2023

We upgraded our beverage package to highest level to prevent nickel and dining. Were still charged for a drink at a bar the first day and charged for mini bar in our room (we were told this was included in our package). There is no clarity in their charges. It's quite expensive to upgrade to start with. Still has been resolution to this matter. It doesn't amount to much money, but it is the principle.

Terrible Cruise
August 20, 2022

We took a cruise the beginning of August 2022. The value of the cruise was worthless. We were suppose to go to 4 ports and we went to 2 1/4. We spent 4 boring days on the ocean out of a 7 day cruise. They switched the itinerary without letting us know. The paint on the balcony was cracked all over the place and peeling. The bed had a sag in it and hurt my back. I wanted to cancel the cruise the week before and asked for a refund before sailing and they told me they would have to charge me a 2500. 00 dollar fine for canceling. I have been on others cruise and had a great time. This was the worst cruise of my life. I would never sail with Norwegian cruise lines ever again. I don't trust them.

Down hill

First, before my review, let it be known that prior to posting this review I submitted my thoughts to NCL in hopes that my comments would have some impact on the company. As of the writing of this review I've had NO response from the cruise line, so please read the following:
My wife and I, prior to our Mediterranean cruse aboard the Norwegian Dawn in May of this year (2024), have been cruisers on NCL seven times in the past. Our previous experiences have been excellent, and we looked forward to another pleasant cruise.
What a total disappointment.
The NCL transition from excellent to "bottom of the barrel" was amazing.
Although we had a premier suite we endured seven different interruptions of the sanitary system. Three days with NO HVAC, and dirt and rust on the exterior of the balcony.
Food!, from first to worst. We were so disappointed in the buffet that we ate there once and never again during the entire cruise. The quality and selection was nowhere near our previous cruises. Dirty, poor service and very low-quality offerings.
And everything is upsold. Wi-Fi, dinner add-ons, excursions, etc.
Two of our excursions were cancelled, and although we received credits, we were also charged $50.00 per cancellation. When we requested an explanation from the excursion desk we were met with a hostile attitude.
As noted earlier, we reached out to NCL in hopes that our experiences would be of some concern to the corporation, but sadly not.
That was our last NCL cruise.
We hope that the powers that be step up and halt the downward trend NCL is presently taking.

Liars

They sold a package cruise plus airfare. NCL got a refund on our plane tickets and left us stranded in the Athens, Greece airport unable to ticket us home to Tampa, Fl for some reason. The representative told us to buy return tickets home for the next day and we would be reimbursed. They will not reimburse us. They say some nonsense about how they are not responsible for delayed flights. We paid for tickets. We spent $3,700 in addition to a $9,000 cruise.
They kept the airfare $ and are unwilling to do the right thing. Rip off!

BEWARE!
July 21, 2023

Recently took a cruise to Europe through Norwegian dawn for our 20th wedding anniversary. Our contract stated 1 tender port!, and they provided six. But due to weather, they canceled three of the ports. They refused to give us any money back and gave us an onboard credit of $100. Basically right back into their pocket. Lotte de da, will never never never cruise with them again. I tell everyone to stay clear of them and go to any other cruise line.

They are mandating that all their passengers get the jab. Fine, However my family and I are choosing not to get the shot. Norwegian is not refunding our money, so we're not allowed to cruise with them and they're not giving us our money back.
