A lot of these 5 star reviews are obviously fake. Some egotistical staff are writing reviews praising themselves but these couldn't possible be from real customers because customers don't see the full name of staff members in any online communication, just their first name.
Anyway, I am a real ex customer and this company has really bad service throughout. When goods arrive with protective packing from the supplier,, myUS discards the protective packing sometimes loosing small items in the process, sometimes they don't replace the protective packing with anything, they just throw delicate items in a box where they are sure to get broken in transit. I've tried making claims for damages but their communication is very evasive.
I'm trying to make a claim now on the latest shipment that they broke and I don't think they are going to pay. I've given them all the information they asked for (and they ask for a lot of photos and forms) but they are implying that I didn't give them enough information.
I'm required to pay for insurance on every shipment, but it's useless, they don't pay my claims.
(Update 29Jul2018) I have been contacting your customer support and it's been a complete waste of my time. They are obviously not authorised to approve claims or issue refunds. They either ignore me or tell me that everything is my fault.
Always eager and willing to help. I would recommend everyone using other services to give MyUS a shot. They will not be disappointed.

MyUS trying to charge me almost double shipping for my goods (than that on their shipping calculator page) I have asked for senior management to review but I just get the same person repeating same thing. Beware when calculating freight cost. Website says "Don't see package count or dimension input? MyUS calculates rates by weight ONLY, regardless of package size and count. " I calculated $484 freight. Yet when my items arrived at myUS they claim I must pay $816 freight. Because the package is 39.5 x 23.5 x 21.5
How is this possible when the calculator says "weight ONLY, regardless of package size"
Do not be misled by this company. They think they can get away with it because the packages are already at their store and there is no option but to pay it. Also they tried to take money from my credit card without my knowledge. Fortunately it was a card that was cancelled and it did not work.
Do your homework thoroughly and be prepared to pay more than you can afford if you use this company.

Answer: Micaela, it all depends on the rules in Peru. I'm a MyUS customer and one of the reasons I like their service is because they give me a discount on the shipping cost, each time. There's an option in your shipping settings where you can select 'label as gift', usually customs aren't charged on gift items. Maybe you should try that once. Works for me all the time.
