I have used MYUS for a number of years to ship to Australia. I was previously happy with the service, but it has gone downhill rapidly. It's often days after receipt of packages until they are logged into your Inbox. I have had many standard items that could have shipped direct from a retailer flagged for "Export Review" when there are no restrictions at all on their import/export. All contact I have with the Customer Service staff is generic and does not resolve anything. The story I am given is "there is no deadline for export review", yet the items can not be sent on elsewhere. They are suspended for an indefinite period. Never again, MYUS, never again..
MyUS provides a very well tuned service. I have used them several times. Not a one situation calling for being dissatisfied. I would describe them as a team desperately willing to help. In one single occasion they did a mistake (one of my items got lost in their Warehouse): they took ownership, found the item and shipped It totally free of charge and all the time they kept me informed. I was delighted. When things go wrong, you actually get to learn the real kind of service you receive. They clearly demonstrated they care their customers. I'm glad to say I'm one of them. And pretty happy, by the way.
I'm living in kuwait, and we have an expensive shipping so its hard for us to order every time, thats why we like the 'hold' idea, its help us saving money very well, and i had an issue with my visa and they responded by email quickly 2 days business.

I have never written any kind of online review before, but I just had such an exceptional customer service experience with Marnie at www.myus.com that it prompted me to share it online. Marnie was friendly and smiling from the start and very patient with my numerous questions. She went out of her way to talk through my concerns with me and was the most accommodating customer service representative I have ever encountered. If only calling a business were as pleasant and productive each time! The website boasts that they have excellent customer service, but I figured this might just be a marketing gimmick. Not so... it's perfectly true!
Have been using MYUS for ages to get stuff shipped to South Africa. Sure, there have been some niggles / delays on occasion, but the service is solid. Each package consolidated and packed with care - never had had a damaged item. Multiple shipping options cater for different item types. Happy customer!
I had found them pretty good but I had a parcel arrive on 12 August. They acknowledged it was there on 22 August. They do not answer phone. Chat line drops when you get near the front of queue. It hasn't appeared in my suite records and no updates or contacts. I understand covid issues but this is ridiculous. I know it's there but they have abandoned me. Crap service.
After being a VIP member for almost 9 months they suddenly hold my account for no reason and each time i ask their customer service about the problem they keep telling me the same thing "your account is under review", the problem here is we don't have anytime to lose and i can't support the current delay.
Want to post this review to let you know that one day it's your turn to be under review like forever under review and keep refreshing the page waiting for them to unblock your account and it never happens, that's what i'm currently experiencing.
Was Charged almost $530.00 CAN total to receive a parcel the weight about 40 lbs. $110.46 was from DHL the actual shipping company. MYUS charged the rest! This shipping cost more than the item. They got every excuse in the book. It's not like I received the parcel the next day It took over a week! I actually had to demand multiple times to receive a copy of the invoice! Further more the invoice was in US funds $278.94 but my credit card was charged $418.28 CAN funds the exchange was done by MYUS at 50% mark up. Another rip off! Don't ever use this company they have ZERO costumer service and are only interested in taking your hard earned money!
We do apologize for the issue you are facing. Invoices can be accessed from your account at anytime from the history section of your account. As for currency conversion we do not charge that the bank does.

More than email was sent and I did not receive any response for three days.

Not worth it at all.
They constantly try to double charged me for a shipment, and when contacting support about it, the only thing they say is "if you allow me to escalate it and we will contact you via email with the solution" and you won't hear back from them at all.
I also had a laptop delivered to them that hasn't been added to my account for 9 days and still counting. If you contact support, they'll give you the same "we'll look into it and get email you soon" reply.
You can try to ask to speak to a manager or someone higher up who can help, but it's not possible and you'll just get told the same "we'll investigate and get back to you in 1-2 business days" nonsense.
Darwin has been most helpful today in updating shipment price details and I found his service both efficient and courteous. The merchants do not often send invoices and trying to create a pdf from a picture on Groupon (or whichever site you ordered from), which is the other way to evidence the purchase price, is super cumbersome and inefficient. So inefficient in fact that I did not make any purchases in nearly a year. However, asking for the price to be updated via online chat is much simpler and more effective if you have some patience and wait in line to be helped.
Amor was wonderful at chatting with me, and answering all of my questions regarding using MyUs.com when shipping overseas for my online art business. He spent a lot of time, explained things clearly, and I feel confident in continuing to utilize their wonderful shipping service!
On the same issue talked few Agents through Live Chat but this Guy who tracked down the issue and provided a solution like I was praying for while having the full understanding of what has happened. I salute his efforts. We need more like him.
Was locked out of my suite over holiday period.
Sent email thinking it would be days due to holiday break.
However, email returned to me with in a hr with clear concise instructions on how to fix the problem.

I've only used the service once and have been charged on a monthly basis due to ‘membership' They will not refund due to ‘policy'. Requested multiple times but still have yet to cancel the charges on my credit card. Phone number is long distance to make it more difficult. Just taking your money without regards to client.
You can cancel the account at any time. Click on My Account Settings> Membership> Cancel Account> Select the reason and then Continue. If you still require assistance with closing the account please let us know.

Not recommend at all. Shipped 2 Items (Laptop and Keyboard plastic cover) from US to Colombia. First of all one Item was wrong. I got plastic flowers instead of my keyboard cover.
I had to pay 30% on top (250 USD) of the package for import and tax which makes it absolutely worthless shipping something. There was not enough transparency. They did marketing for supporting with custom for Colombia and declare what custom will be during shipping ordering process. I can't even ask to get back the Tax as the product was not purchased in Colombia! GREAT!

Paypal used to be exactly like this. No direct contact number. Never resolved anything. And now MYUS.com is exactly the same! Site lists phone number, but it only goes to recording, no one will ever pick up the phone to talk to you. Email gets returned on their schedule. 1-2 days! What? You can't respond the same day to an email... maybe you have far to many complaints then! Only "chat" is ridiculous... took me hours to connect. Stay away! Although combined shipping is good, other companies do MUCH better job, and they'll actually pick up the phone.

They mailed my package using FedEx. The package got lost midway. They washed their hands off and told me I have to deal with it myself. Took no initiative, or accountability to help with the issue. They will just take your money and do the bare minimum. I would not recommend them all, as if you end up in a situation like me when the courier loses your package. You're left on your own.

Answer: Micaela, it all depends on the rules in Peru. I'm a MyUS customer and one of the reasons I like their service is because they give me a discount on the shipping cost, each time. There's an option in your shipping settings where you can select 'label as gift', usually customs aren't charged on gift items. Maybe you should try that once. Works for me all the time.
