I was a customer with MyUS for more than 5 years and recently cancelled my account after getting my fill of their so-called 'customer service.'
First of all, getting hold of them is nearly impossible. Chat never works and no-one ever answers the phone in my experience. Even trying to get the question form on the website only works about 5% of the time, in my experience.
When the question form does work, the only way to contact them is by leaving a message on their website - and it can take up to a week to get a response, in my experience.
When you do get finally a response - good luck with getting them to understand even the simplest request. Plan on sending SEVERAL e-mails before they even read what your question or request is. And, each time you send a reply to a response from their support team, they send you a new reference number and no-one seems to talk to each other. What a mess.
I did to my GREAT surprise manage to get through to chat three times - but no-one I chatted with had the power to do anything. Chat is basically another way to send information in to the support team. So a big waste of time.
The last straw was the absolute appalling experience of a friend that I had the misfortune to recommend sign up to MyUS. They signed up for an account and changed their mind - cancelling within a day of signing up. Even though MyUS sent an e-mail clearly stating the account was cancelled - MyUS reinstated the account a few days later without request or permission, then attempted to collect $27.00 in fees for an account that was NEVER used and was cancelled after a few hours.
Unbelievable.
It took more than 20 e-mails to get the account cancelled again - and we still don't know if it will stay that way. I feel so bad and wish I could take the recommendation back. I felt the only way to respond was to cancel my account and take my business elsewhere.
Stay away at all costs - no-one can be worse than these guys. I will pay extra just to be able to talk to someone for a change. I am now researching other package-forwarding companies.

Many mistakes in registration of product categories and mistakes in item quantity registration are frequent, and it is troublesome to make a correction request from the inquiry form. Inspection fee may be charged even though it is a correction request to correct MyUS's mistake. Require accurate product category registration and accurate item quantity registration.

We have been using MyUS for a few months now and we are very happy. They always answer our questions quickly and our shipments with FedEx arrive promptly. DHL is not as good, but you have to ship certains item with them. Shipping costs are reasonable and our items are always in excellent condition.

Recently i registered in myus.com, RS 499/- has been deducted from my account without my notice, I request my money back to my account at any cost.
From the past 3 months every time RS 499/- is getting deducted and there is no response or action to get it refunded. I even cancelled my account when money got deducted. I think Its a Fraud company

You were charged for two months ($14 total) before the account was canceled. You were then refunded $7 when you canceled. There are so many hidden fees! Fees for perfume, fees for multiple items, fees for storage...you name it. My estimate was about $53 USD, and when I lodged the ship request, it went up to $120 USD, and that INCLUDED a 30% first time discount. Now I'm looking on the site to see the itemised costing of the absurd fees they charge, and I can't find it. Totally lacking in transparency.

I had several interactions (6+) with this company on live chat etc, and was offered a review link on only one occaison, when my issue was a quick and easy fix, so they are selecting customers to give reviews. Try literally ANY company but this one, becuase there is no way you could do worse.

There are charges for services outside of the normal shipment process. Dangerous Goods handling and shipment requires special packaging and labeling by the carriers and international shipment regulatory agencies. The item processing fee is related to an unusually large number of unique items in lightweight shipments and each membership type does have a free storage time frame ranging from 2-30 days. Orders stored at our facility longer than that are charged a storage fee.

Answer: Micaela, it all depends on the rules in Peru. I'm a MyUS customer and one of the reasons I like their service is because they give me a discount on the shipping cost, each time. There's an option in your shipping settings where you can select 'label as gift', usually customs aren't charged on gift items. Maybe you should try that once. Works for me all the time.
