My pet was lost for two days and while she ended up walking home in her own, it was so helpful to know that Lost Pet Alert was on the case helping me spread the word about my missing furry friend. Ultimately I canceled the alert but I felt good knowing that this site was letting all of the major shelters etc know of my cat's status. Everything helps :)
I received a tip from another pet lover who had used your site. I was so thankful. There are so few helpful sites out there. Thank you so much for the great flyers. Just knowing you guys are out there helping made me and Buster feel special. Thanks again. We'll definitely pass on your information and support.
Yay! Popcorn is home! She was missing for three days and someone told me about My Lost Pet Alert. I joined, printed flyers and she was found tonight! I appreciated how easy it was to print flyers. Thank you!
They let us know exactly what was going on the entire time, felt like we had some control and answers when we were experiencing a very hard time when we lost our little dog,
Very efficient and I recommend it to anyone who has lost their pet.
In the end the call alert message was what found my lost dog. The call alert called the local shelter/animal control and they called me back saying they think they had my dog. The only complaint is that the call alert didn't go out for over 24 hours after buying the Lost Pet Alert package. But I am so thankful that once it went out that it worked and people responded!
They called me with a recorded message, despite my being on the do not call list,
And despite their being from another state.
Also check out their better business bureau rating.
Any service like this needs to be opt in, and respect people's privacy. They do not.
Within 24 hours, I got two responses to the alert for my cat and the second one led me to my pet. She is a blind cat and had been hit by a car, but the woman calling had seen the Facebook post and called to tell me exactly where she was and that she was still alive. I got there in time to take her to the emergency vet and she is being prepped for surgery now with a good prognosis. Without Pet Alert she would have laid by the curb and surely died alone. I am so grateful. Kay
I paid for the package they recommend for rural areas... the Woof package. They say they will fax up to 15 pet shelters and veterinary clinics within a 25 mile radius. On my report they said they could not find any in a 25 mile radius using among other things google maps, and that this is common in rural areas... well there is a vet clinic 1 mile from me and about 9 others in a 25 mile radius that all pop right up on google maps. They say if I send them the fax number they will add it to their data base. Well if I call all these vet clinics in a 25 mile radius to get their fax number I am going to file my own lost pet report. This is what I pay them for and they don't deliver. Scammers.
This site was easy to use. The alerts were sent in a timely manner, and several folks in the area called reporting seeing my cat. That allowed us to focus our searches in those areas. I would definitely use the guys again.
Very thankful that he is home. So amazing. Thank you for your quick response and help! I was able to have a flyer sent to all the right agencies in my community making the search really helpful! So helpful and a great community of helpful caring animal lovers.
I called all of the clinics that were allegedly faxed and not one received any fax from this business. I'm reporting to BBB and my credit card company for false charges.
There are no words that can adequately describe despair. My small dog got out of the car with stealth in an industrial area with amazing traffic. It was comforting to have a site like ths one to know there is slight hope of seeing your loved one once again.
Thank you!
We wouldn't have found Witty without the social media outreach and kindness of those who cared for her while she was lost. Many people also shared the post which helped immensely - those shares count very much in this situation so our gratitude is with everyone who helped spread the word. Thank you My Lost Pet Alert!
After four days of wondering, our indoor cat was found a few houses down. I know these alerts, emails, and apps help bring our pets home. THanks for all you do at MyLostPetAlert! (The reading that was suggested helped tremendously... is said that generally, indoor cats, if found, will be found within a 5 house radius - once I read that I refocused my efforts on my immediate area and even though it had been over 4 full days - he was found only two houses away!)
While the outcome of my lost pet was not what I had been hoping for, and the website did not directly result in the locating of my pet, I will say I was very pleased with the speed and efficiency of this site. The service provided was exactly what I had requested; I was thankful for the flyers, web postings, and to hear from neighbors that they had actually received a call within hours of posting. Would highly recommend to anyone (though hoping no one needs to deal with the panic or sorrow of a lost pet) and am grateful for the kind person who reached out in response to my craigslist ad to make me aware of this site. RIP my sweet girl.
I posted my missing dog on Craigslist, Nextdoor, Facebook and For the Love of Louie. Someone mentioned this site and I figured it would help spread the news of being missing. I loved how the site sent faxes to local vets and shelters alerting them of her being missing! Luckily she was waiting in the yard when we woke up!
My cat disappeared recently and after panicking and looking everywhere with no luck, I was starting to lose hope, a friend of mine told me about this service. It sounded pretty cool but I wasn't sure if it would work, but getting my cat back is more important than anything to me, so I gave it a try. Let me tell you, this service is worth every dollar. He actually was turned into a local vet a few days after I had started the alerts and now I have him back home safely. I can't thank you guys enough!
I'm so glad I did the $40 package because they faxed all the nearby vets, which helped bring in our first tip. While that didn't quite pan out it helped narrow down our search. I was able to get a great flyer to print off, but you can do that for the free alert. Social media was really key and having it posted on Facebook in that package is worth the money, but I can't say you should do more than the $40. It takes a lot of effort to really spread the word on Facebook and it took a city to get it done in the end, but if not for the Facebook posting of My Lost Pet Alert we wouldn't have our husky home today. She was finally found this morning!
It was such a comfort being able to mobilize widespread lost pet alerts and folks on the lookout for my kittie! So many people told me they got your calls or saw the facebook posting and would be looking for him.
He came home on his own after 10 long days but everyone was looking for him so if he had been trapped someone would have saved him!
Great website, submitting your info they will send a flyer to vets/shelters near you for free. If that doesn't work they will mail 500-2000 flyers on your behalf, for a cost, to nearby neighbors. Very easy to use and the staff had been beyond prompt and helpful
Answer: Time is critical, and we work fast - during normal hours, we will typically have your alert completed within 1 hour.
Answer: Toll-Free: 1-844-738-2537.
Answer: You can start an alert for your lost pet here: https://mylostpetalert.com/start-alert/
Answer: Thank you for the question Iram. We of course cannot guarantee the return of your pet, but our service gets your pets photo and information out to thousands of eyeballs and ears located in the area they went missing. It can only benefit and increase your chances of recovery - an alert done within 5 days of your pet going missing has an average 85% success rate.
Answer: Live chat does not have a defined schedule and our phone system is not intended for customer support. If you have a sales question or questions about your alert, you can always email us at support@mylostpetalert.com
Answer: Yes, 100%. I did it several days later. I should have done it the same day! Your pet can be picked up by someone who is taking care of it or at a vet office. This site 100% works. At the very least do the woof plan!
Answer: I'm sorry for the delay in my answer. I hope this message is in waste and your pet has returned. But just in case - it cost me $50 to have calls, flyers, contacts to Vets in the area all done by this site. As I said, I don't know with 100 percent certainty that my cat came home because of this site but it just seems odd to me that within hours of the calls going out (my neighbors confirmed they got a call) my cat came running home to me. I wish you all the luck in locating your pet. I don't believe it is ever too late. When I was a child, I had a purebred Irish Setter that was stolen from our yard. I thought I would never see him again and yet he came home 6 months after being taken!
Answer: I live in a city that is quite small, and I went with the rural package. It's possible for an animal to travel a long distance, but the odds for that aren't very high. A rural package should be sufficient.
MyLostPetAlert has a rating of 4.3 stars from 151 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally satisfied with their purchases. Reviewers satisfied with MyLostPetAlert most frequently mention great service and social media. MyLostPetAlert ranks 4th among Lost Pet sites.
While a vet/shelter may be listed on Google Maps, not every one of them will have a fax number - it is for this reason that the amount is "up to". Even in rural areas like this there are usually some with fax capability. Upon receiving your review our team reached out to offer solutions and our apologies - a refund was offered, but rejected.
