I find the cross referencing to other MH trees and information extremely helpful. I also like that MH references other geneology sites so that you can compare and verify information.

This service is good and versatile. Been using it on a weekly basis for about 10 years. The community and ability to share tree information with others is excellent, the DNA sample and its many forms of utilization are great and for me, managing the family tree of 30.000 persons with the Builder Application has been vital. Strongly recommend if you use Windows. For me, moving on to Linux, it's a pain to find a similar solution that works in that.
I was centralizing all my research with MyHeritage. It had everything. Tree, records, and DNA. Then you halted the ability to upload DNA from other sources. I get you want to make money but you should just charge for uploads. Those of us with relatives who passed can now no longer centralize anywhere. So now I will do that at gedmatch and I am indifferent to MyHeritage vs anywhere else. It was your DNA tools that mattered.

Very interesting indeed. Especially finding relatives, from several generations in the past and in locations I wasn't aware of. Some of their occupations also very exciting.
I find that My Heritage is a top site for family research. I have received many emails from My Heritage that correspond to my research. As a person there told me, the more research I do, the more suggestions I will receive. The suggestions are often right on point and have helped me find family members I was unaware of. I have, from time to time, spoken to staff at My Heritage, and I can say that they are not only helpful, but polite and friendly. Unfortunately, I did not renew my subscription this year; certainly not because I didn't want to. I made a choice based on the financial resources I have. If you are considering joining, I highly recommend it.

Answer: My issue was the automatic renewal without any kind of courtesy reminder prior to the effective date, as other businesses do. Advising one year in advance is a poor business practice. When I contacted them immediately on the renewal effective date, they refused to cancel and offered me a 25% discount. They eventually gave me the full refund but it was due to me turning it over to AMEX to resolve. I do however agree with the advice to base your renewal on your own personal experience.
Answer: You can find your site subscriptions via MyHeritage homepage - pull-down menu on the right upper corner button "Settings". Then click on "My purchases", and button "Site subscriptions". Answer: Dear Jonathan, Yes I have the same problem, I wrote to My Heritage and they have still not responded to my request for assistance. They are highly Sloppy and unprofessional in responding to customer request for assistance. Even though they have and excellent Technical Team. Fortunately I have another Computer with Windows 8 as a result of which I am able to continue working with my Website. But recently a few problems have cropped up with the recent upgrade of the My Heritage Program and have sent in a request for assistance and till today 3-5 months later I have no response. Apparently the company believes that they can play games with the customers. I firmly believe that they have somehow gone into self destructive mode.

Answer: Hi After posting my complaint about MyHeritage on here I got a very quick response from some one called Dave at the company. He told me to send an email to support@myheritage.com and add the subject Dave: sitejabber. He responded a couple of days later - I emailed on a Saturday - and the auto repeat on my subscription was cancelled and my money refunded within days. Hope this helps.
