Less than an hour later I attempted to log in again only to be informed that my access has been blocked for 24 hours due to "irregular activity". Earlier this week I just agreed to sign up for a multi-year subscription - not impressed with the service or results so far.
If you like genealogy this website is a great place to share, post, and save digitized records. This site is also good for finding other genealogists with whom to collaborate.
I have done some work using MyHeritage a few years ago and fund it to be a very easy program to use and it keeps improving as i i get use to working on it again. The people that I have talked to have been very helpful.

I have been using MyHeritage and the benefits are fantastic! After adding my relatives to my tree, the notices began. In my email I would find links to newspaper articles, yearbooks, other family trees, death/birth/marriage certificates for those in my tree. I also was informed of other folks who may be related to those already in my tree. It is amazing and I can't thank MyHeritage enough for all the research work they do.

I do like the DNA Match chromosome browser, shared segments. It would be nice if the triangulated overlap segment matches would automatically show up, instead of going back and foward. The tree is nice, yet the top bars and side bars need to be hiden to allow the tree to be used. Also, Geni needs to be incorperated into My Heritage, to much duplication and only allows for errors.
Being a long time subscriber to My Heritage I am pleased with the information that is sent to me via email regarding my past ancestors. I have built up a good family tree through this and look forward to more exciting features in the future.
Good but if a person has been entered twice, it is difficult to remove one.
The layout suits me far better than Ancestry.com even though Ancestry appears to have access to more specific detail, which I then transfer back to My Heritage site. It's easy to add information and, with two screens, I can cross check material to avoid errors from other sites, of which there are many.

Answer: My issue was the automatic renewal without any kind of courtesy reminder prior to the effective date, as other businesses do. Advising one year in advance is a poor business practice. When I contacted them immediately on the renewal effective date, they refused to cancel and offered me a 25% discount. They eventually gave me the full refund but it was due to me turning it over to AMEX to resolve. I do however agree with the advice to base your renewal on your own personal experience.

Answer: Dear Jonathan, Yes I have the same problem, I wrote to My Heritage and they have still not responded to my request for assistance. They are highly Sloppy and unprofessional in responding to customer request for assistance. Even though they have and excellent Technical Team. Fortunately I have another Computer with Windows 8 as a result of which I am able to continue working with my Website. But recently a few problems have cropped up with the recent upgrade of the My Heritage Program and have sent in a request for assistance and till today 3-5 months later I have no response. Apparently the company believes that they can play games with the customers. I firmly believe that they have somehow gone into self destructive mode.

Answer: Hi After posting my complaint about MyHeritage on here I got a very quick response from some one called Dave at the company. He told me to send an email to support@myheritage.com and add the subject Dave: sitejabber. He responded a couple of days later - I emailed on a Saturday - and the auto repeat on my subscription was cancelled and my money refunded within days. Hope this helps.
