De vorm en de opbouw van de familiestamboom zijn makkelijk in te vullen.
Jammer, dat de matches die ik krijg, niet goed kan controleren, omdat ik dan een abonnement moet nemen. Het bedrag dat staat aangegeven is zonder btw. Ik vind 13,95 per maand en dan nog in één keer voor een jaar betalen veel geld. En kan ik er ook weer vanaf zonder dat dit gevolgen heeft voor mijn stamboom? Ik weet ook niet welk voordeel ik ervan heb: kan ik dan mijn hele stamboom invullen?
Één keer heel blij, dat ik 40 gratis matches kreeg gerelateerd aan mijn in 1960 overleden moeder. Het bleek, dat zij werd opgevoerd als schoonmoeder van mijn echtgenoot met wie ik in 1970 ben getrouwd. Zij hebben elkaar niet gekend. Ik kreeg 40 familieleden van mijn echtgenoot toegevoegd! Ik ben op zoek naar de wortels van mijn vader en moeder, maar niet naar die van mijn echtgenoot!
Van 200 personen naar 240 personen, dus mijn gratis stamboom is bijna vol met 20% personen waarnaar ik niet op zoek ben. Mijn enthousiasme veranderde in een teleurstelling.

Signed up for trial month. Was familiar with other services which charged by the month so I thought I'd go another month. Was SHOCKED when I was charged for the full year. Just a few days after I saw the charge -- not using the service in the meantime -- I called asking for refund. Representative was condescending and gave me only 40% back, even though they say full refund within 30 days on their site. They may have good sources for research, but their business practices are not good.
A few days after posting this review, rep called and explained over and over why they couldn't refund -- I should have read their small print. And, yes, I should have, but they still should have given me my money back since I didn't use it after seeing the charge. The only time I used it was during their 14-day free trial. But, yes, I should have read the small print. The second customer service rep was not condescending.
I can make my case 'til I'm blue in the face, but I should have read the small print thoroughly. They do have a good set of records to go through. I do wish they charged by the month, however. If they did, I'd still be with them. $12 or $13 a month is a lot easier to okay than $149 all at once.
I was invited to join, I did and found it fun. I could post my messages as often as I had ideas to say. I was made the ground zero because I am the oldest, though my brother before me was the real oldest of the existing group, he was not into computers. I wrote profiles of everyone in my original family. How did I do it, even after everyone had gone to the next life? I was the youngest in our family, only to be "seen" not to be "heard." I didn't squawk about my status. If you can't lick them, join them, I said to myself. I became an observer, I memorized things that happened, I listened. Result, I could write the profiles of everyone today, even though they are all gone. Everything I write about now all come from my memory bank. It even amazes me how I did it. When I review what I had written, it gives me joy reading them all over again. My original family expanded to my two daughters and a son-in-law. They are on their own to create their own profiles.
At times I come upon a problem, the MH customer service is ever ready to provide the needed solution. I figure we're all one big family in this big Universe. Million thanks, MyHeritage!
Cancelled, but they are still charging. Left numerous messages. Then they call after 5 days. Worse yet it was 6AM. Really, what business calls at that time. And no I still don't have it resolved

Il donne accès à de nombreuses sources généalogiques; remonter dans vos origines, vous relier à dautres familles est facile! Avoir accès aux autres généalogies, cest une chose mais ce nest pas tout. Il faut aussi des outils! My Heritage met à votre disposition des outils qui facilitent la recherche comme les « smart matches » et les « record matches ». Un clic et vous êtes sur des sources dinformation. Vous pouvez ajouter, comparer, corriger, enrichir facilement votre généalogie. Quant aux erreurs de toutes sortes, le logiciel est là pour les détecter. Exemple: Pierre est né en 1870 après la mort de sa mère en 1868: un clic et vous pouvez voir où est votre erreur. Ou encore tel nom de lieu apparaît une fois avec telle orthographe alors quil apparaît 15 fois sur telle autre. Recherchez-vous les doublons, un outil puissant parfois trop puissant au point de vous indiquer des doublons qui nen sont pas - MAIS vous avez pleine maîtrise sur cet outil pour quil recherche seulement ce que vous voulez et éviter, par exemple, les personnes qui portent le même prénom même si cest parfois utile. Vous saisissez? Le support est rapide et efficace ce qui est loin dêtre le cas pour dautres logiciels.
Grâce à My Heritage je suis devenu un « mordu » de généalogie ». Jy consacre une heure par jour depuis 2 ans et me voilà à plus de ******* personnes. Actuellement ces 100 nouvelles personnes que jajoute toutes les semaines. Je regrette de navoir pas commencé plus jeune. Je suis âgé. Le temps presse. Je voudrais laisser à mes descendants une belle généalogie.

I have used My Heritage for about 5 years now and have learnt many new things about my extended family. I have also met many of my relatives whom I have never met before. The site has been a focal point for the extended family and in some ways has brought us all a bit closer together. I recently had an issue with my site and contacted My Heritage by email on a number of occasions without response. I resorted to ringing them and they then promptly resolved my issue and assisted me extensively. I am happy to recommend the My Heritage system to any potential users

Like others I forgot to cancel my trial and after canceling on day 15, they refuse to give a full refund. First offering 25% and then 40% after I pushed it.
I shouldn't have to push it at all since they say they have a 30 day money back guarantee in their terms and conditions. What despicable business practice to not honor. It.
There is information on my family completely incorrect. I did the 14 day trial to try to find out why and to correct it.
Got an email the day after it ended and told I was being charged for the year. Emailed and called immediately, told them it sure would have been nice to get an email the day before telling me my trial was ending.
Their response? Too bad.
Has to fight and threaten them to get 1/2 back.
So, here is my response to them taking my money!
Information on my family is wrong, I could find no way to correct it and and I got hammered for a fee.

I am very pleased with MyHeritage! It is very professional and great concept. It is very user friendly and the support is very good! I feel like I get better contact with my relatives!
What terrible service! Emailed them twice to cancel within the cancellation period and a guy called me on the phone, I had to reiterate many times that I wanted to cancel and get my money back and he just did not want to hear it

Due to a wrong klick while synchronizing the data from my heritage to the family tree builder I lost 5000 relatives and I had no backup. Daniel from the support managed it to restore the complete data which took some weeks but finally was successful. A great thanks to Daniel for this! Robert
I called the Support Center in Tel Aviv last week with a problem. I was just blown away with the service I received there. The several calls I made was promptly answered and the support persons I spoke to was very patient with me and very professional. I was taken through the problem step by step and this was followed up with a three page e-mail that I used to make the required changes. Thank you Shill and especially Freja. You were both great.
I was in need to make substantial changes on my family page. I was surprised how fast Sharon was able to help, how patient she was and how she was able to explain in a way I was able to understand. Within minutes all the problems were resolved and the service was excellent. I am so pleased to be a member in the MyHeritage site.

I had questions about DNA matches and Dana explained perfectly what I wanted to know! Now I understand that my actual matches are not immediately usefull but I am sure that in time the DNA matches will be of great help!
Soon after subscribing to MyHeritage my daughter had problems with her password which was promptly attended to. This solution led to the discovery that there were two family sites(our fault) and MyHeritage was again very helpful in helping us out. Excellent service right through.

Answer: My issue was the automatic renewal without any kind of courtesy reminder prior to the effective date, as other businesses do. Advising one year in advance is a poor business practice. When I contacted them immediately on the renewal effective date, they refused to cancel and offered me a 25% discount. They eventually gave me the full refund but it was due to me turning it over to AMEX to resolve. I do however agree with the advice to base your renewal on your own personal experience.
Answer: You can find your site subscriptions via MyHeritage homepage - pull-down menu on the right upper corner button "Settings". Then click on "My purchases", and button "Site subscriptions". Click "View details". The details contain section "Cancel subscription". Maybe you can get advice by mail from MyHeritage support team (support@myheritage.com).

They are highly Sloppy and unprofessional in responding to customer request for assistance. Even though they have and excellent Technical Team. Answer: Hi After posting my complaint about MyHeritage on here I got a very quick response from some one called Dave at the company. He told me to send an email to support@myheritage.com and add the subject Dave: sitejabber. He responded a couple of days later - I emailed on a Saturday - and the auto repeat on my subscription was cancelled and my money refunded within days. Hope this helps.
