I have always been very satisfied with My Heritage as an Ancestral Site it gives some great information on matches but if you could classify matches by either father or mother or both it would add to the certainty of where to look further.
I got this to look up my genealogy and there are info but there locked where you can't see the other people's trees and i know a few that don't have there info locked and still it says it's locked what good is a subscription if what you want you can't really see anything. I even ordered the dna and I paid for it with my whole family and it's alot but it doesn't give you close relationships only 3rd or 4th or 5th gen and up not the ones that mean alot to you like your father side it only put my mother because I had her in my tree. And my aunt and uncle because I put them on my account when I paid for them. I wanted to find out more info but this doesn't seem to help you unless you paid for the dna test. So yes I like it but for a real reference to finding out you info that you really want or need its no help. I don't know anything more than what I already know or can find at another site that's free.
My Heritage website is probably the best genealogy website. Hovewer, it is quite expensive in full version. There are many usable tools and possibilities included photo improvement, DNA tools and historical records. Computer software version (PC) has already antient look, but it is good. I am missing a photo comment possibility that was recently removed.

I love the unsolicited family information it provides based on family members in your tree and research about your family. Plenty of DNA testing information is available if you decide to be tested or have a family member tested. Great website if your interested in learning more about your family heritage.
My Heritage I a wonderful and useable format. I like its ability to be able to be constructed in a way that works for me. I like that it has a way to connect with members. I like that it finds errors and possible connections. I wish it supported videos and pdf files but I get by without them. A text based system formats well.
I love how MyHeritage makes recommendations on missing information or possible ancestor matches for my ancestor line. I would suggest that MyHeritage sync more than eight generations from FamilySearch.org so tht suggested additions from MyHeritage would be less likely to recommend duplicate records already in FamilySearch.
Get some great hints from the site and it works well with Family Search but navigating the hints can be a long process and sometimes it appears confusing. Sometimes there is an overabundance of hints that I feel I can never get through, often with thousands of hints. I also get concerned about missing links or 3rd party web sites demanding money for information. I do agree that I have been able to push my family tree ahead with MyHeritage, but it could be more streamlined and less bulky.

Ich hatte zusammen mit dem Set einen kostenlose Probemonat. Ohne einen von mir erkennbaren Hinweis wurde daraus eine Jahresmitgliedschaft. KEINE Chance davon zurückzutreten. SO wird hier das Geld gemacht. Im Grunde ist My Heritage eine schöne Sache. Aber die Mentalität der Betreiber ist ja bekannt. Muss man besser aufpassen. Schade!

Answer: My issue was the automatic renewal without any kind of courtesy reminder prior to the effective date, as other businesses do. Advising one year in advance is a poor business practice. When I contacted them immediately on the renewal effective date, they refused to cancel and offered me a 25% discount. They eventually gave me the full refund but it was due to me turning it over to AMEX to resolve. I do however agree with the advice to base your renewal on your own personal experience.

They are highly Sloppy and unprofessional in responding to customer request for assistance. Even though they have and excellent Technical Team. Fortunately I have another Computer with Windows 8 as a result of which I am able to continue working with my Website. But recently a few problems have cropped up with the recent upgrade of the My Heritage Program and have sent in a request for assistance and till today 3-5 months later I have no response. Apparently the company believes that they can play games with the customers. I firmly believe that they have somehow gone into self destructive mode.

Answer: Hi After posting my complaint about MyHeritage on here I got a very quick response from some one called Dave at the company. He told me to send an email to support@myheritage.com and add the subject Dave: sitejabber. He responded a couple of days later - I emailed on a Saturday - and the auto repeat on my subscription was cancelled and my money refunded within days. Hope this helps.
