I have used MyHeritage for almost 20 years and have been very impressed with their constant introduction of innovative features to their program. In particular, they have been exceptional in the new photo enhancement features they have introcuced.

Normally the website and FamilyTreeBuilder work great, apart from annoying minor bugs such as automatic, uncontrolled format changes in marriage data from "Exact" to "Free text". The smart matches, DNA matches and photo editing functions are great. However, the support is inadequate: precise information, e.g. on translation errors; non-functioning picture uploads in profiles or suggestions for improvements that make sense from the user's point of view are answered in a friendly manner, but remain without any response for months. This is very annoying as it gives the impression that such user feedback is not welcome. I am convinced that MyHeritage can do better!
Easy to use, the suggested matches are super helpful. 5* I have grown my family tree which is now huge and I've also learned useful facts re my ancestors.

Over about SIX Months Program got to where it would not sync. Tried all fixes I could find on line. Sent request FOUR times for help NEVER GOT ANY FROM MYHERITAGE. So I ran a book for information and OUIT.

Thanks to Heritage I am learning who I am as I was in social services until 10 with only Mark known as my name. Adopted at ten to Kizee but adoption revealed my real name. Mark Christian Rothschild which I didn't like the name. Started learning, very inquisitive as a child's slowly learned to like it. Rothschild who I am Heritage has shown me relatives I'm connected to. Thank You Mt Heritage. Made me proud to be a dutinguished Rothschild, proud of it!

I have been able to share, with my stepsister, the history of my family after being adopted 77 years ago and not knowing anything about the history for my entire life. As I did research, I have come up with a pretty extensive family tree with the help of My Heritage & my own research.
Always easy to navigate, loads of information! Wish I could always afford it. Add a monthly payment plan and maybe I could get more. Most recent me purchase was a belated birthday gift from my son to me since I couldn't get it myself. Thank you.

Answer: My issue was the automatic renewal without any kind of courtesy reminder prior to the effective date, as other businesses do. Advising one year in advance is a poor business practice. When I contacted them immediately on the renewal effective date, they refused to cancel and offered me a 25% discount. They eventually gave me the full refund but it was due to me turning it over to AMEX to resolve. I do however agree with the advice to base your renewal on your own personal experience.

Answer: Dear Jonathan, Yes I have the same problem, I wrote to My Heritage and they have still not responded to my request for assistance. They are highly Sloppy and unprofessional in responding to customer request for assistance. Even though they have and excellent Technical Team. Fortunately I have another Computer with Windows 8 as a result of which I am able to continue working with my Website. But recently a few problems have cropped up with the recent upgrade of the My Heritage Program and have sent in a request for assistance and till today 3-5 months later I have no response. Apparently the company believes that they can play games with the customers. I firmly believe that they have somehow gone into self destructive mode.

Answer: Hi After posting my complaint about MyHeritage on here I got a very quick response from some one called Dave at the company. He told me to send an email to support@myheritage.com and add the subject Dave: sitejabber. He responded a couple of days later - I emailed on a Saturday - and the auto repeat on my subscription was cancelled and my money refunded within days. Hope this helps.
