MyHeritage is generally well-regarded for its user-friendly platform and extensive database, which many customers find invaluable for tracing their ancestry and connecting with relatives. Users appreciate the regular updates and the powerful search capabilities that facilitate discoveries. However, concerns arise regarding customer service, particularly related to billing issues and the difficulty of reaching support. Some users have reported feeling overwhelmed by the volume of information and have encountered challenges in verifying data. Overall, while the service is praised for its features, improvements in customer support and communication are necessary to enhance user satisfaction.

Some of the family names are difficult to trace, amazing discoveries, proud of my ancestors achievements, and sad of their trials and tribulations.
Family researcb withvthe help of the very extendes MyHeritage Database gives information about ancestors of ages ago. Combined with other archive and interner information make it possible to make unique Familybooks ( which I did for hundreds)
GedMatch have discontinued linkage of DNA results to a tree. They suggested MyHeritage. All I needed was a pedigree, and not a lot of spam about records for aunts and uncles. It hasn't worked out that way.
It began as a challenging experience but as I pushed on I was able to follow the "breadcrumbs" from my searches. I found some naughty ladies in my family line which added to my curiosity and further investigations. I have hit a stumbling block in my life and have put everything on hold. However, a couple of times I was able to return and it was easy to pick up where I left off.
He podido llegar muy lejos en mi árbol aunque cuando se unen los linajes de mis padres no me deja la aplicación.
I am paying a lot of money. When I get some answers you ask for extra money
Very satisfied particularly with Czech Republic ancestors.
Only bots to communicate with though I explained I have a medical condition and needed to speak with someone. They promised they would contact me and would not give me a time, day, week, month? No one has called me back. This is a horrible way to deal with support. Other companies have live support and i like them and get help. Sadly not with MyHeritage. So if it is a profit margin then you are making it at the expense of those who pay and keep the company going. For young people the chats are not too hard to work with but remember that most of the clients who are truly researching are older and may have phyiscal limitations.
MyHeritage is GREAT but there are things I can do on Ancestry that I would like to do on MyHeritage.
Perhaps the functionality is there but I have not yet discovered it.
What I would like is more filtering ability. Especially shared matches. Yes cluster diagrams help but not a lot. Both of my parents were only children and on my father's side my closest living relative are 3rd cousins and there are so few of them and fewer had issue. Thanks for asking.
Interesting genealogy tool
Area of improvement: Tree construction, elimination of dual names
I have been using my heritage for over 15 years, very satisfied
I have the Omni subscription and enjoy using the many tools. My local newspaper is on their Old News list so I have discovered many interesting facts to round out my ancestor's lives.
On researching my own and my wife's families, I am amazed to see just how "connected" we both are. Whilst I was expecting to find many "Ag Labs", that group seems to be be (so far) in the minority. Of course, very little is actually provable without official documentation.
I like a fair number of features, such as converting old black and white photos, also, the ability to research individuals to find information about births, deaths, marriages, etc. I would like to get a list of choices when looking at "record matches". Their algorithm comes up with too many choices to review without a way to disregard a particular selection such as census records, Canadian records, marriages or deaths in specific states, etc., there should be a way to eliminate that subject, especially when I often have the same info in this or my Legacy database or I am simply not interested in reviewing a particular selection.
This was the first company I used and I had zero issues, or delays. This is straight forward and easy to use
With this app, we were able to trace over 9,000 people in our family tree, reaching back to an ancestor from 1575 in Germany. After 80 years of separation, we found a cousin in Israel and another family branch in France, with whom we could travel to Latvia to discover our family's roots.
Was a little taken back yesterday when I was requested to change it or update my password which when I did it it told me I couldn't get in for another day Hope that was not scammed
My Grandfather had NO step or half sisters or brothers it is imposible to fix and as more and more people do no confirm it get worse.
Answer: My issue was the automatic renewal without any kind of courtesy reminder prior to the effective date, as other businesses do. Advising one year in advance is a poor business practice. When I contacted them immediately on the renewal effective date, they refused to cancel and offered me a 25% discount. They eventually gave me the full refund but it was due to me turning it over to AMEX to resolve. I do however agree with the advice to base your renewal on your own personal experience.
Answer: You can find your site subscriptions via MyHeritage homepage - pull-down menu on the right upper corner button "Settings". Then click on "My purchases", and button "Site subscriptions". Click "View details". The details contain section "Cancel subscription". Maybe you can get advice by mail from MyHeritage support team (support@myheritage.com).
Answer: If you are looking to get as many connections to your tree that you can, use My Heritage. If you want flexibility in who is added to your tree, use Ancestry.
Answer: Dear Jonathan, Yes I have the same problem, I wrote to My Heritage and they have still not responded to my request for assistance. They are highly Sloppy and unprofessional in responding to customer request for assistance. Even though they have and excellent Technical Team. Fortunately I have another Computer with Windows 8 as a result of which I am able to continue working with my Website. But recently a few problems have cropped up with the recent upgrade of the My Heritage Program and have sent in a request for assistance and till today 3-5 months later I have no response. Apparently the company believes that they can play games with the customers. I firmly believe that they have somehow gone into self destructive mode.

Answer: Hi After posting my complaint about MyHeritage on here I got a very quick response from some one called Dave at the company. He told me to send an email to support@myheritage.com and add the subject Dave: sitejabber. He responded a couple of days later - I emailed on a Saturday - and the auto repeat on my subscription was cancelled and my money refunded within days. Hope this helps.
