I know for a fact that I am half south korean, going back at least four generations.
The result for Korean doesn't even show because they "don't have any previous Korean DNA in their lab", instead they represent it with "Chinese/Vietnamese" and "Japanese" even though I have no relatives of that ethnicity.
Yes, it is likely that I have some ancestors that intermingled over the last 2000 years, however, this completely diminishes the accuracy of my results. I wonder how many other ethnic groups I may belong to that are not shown because of this company.
On top of that, the results are incredibly general and do not go into detail besides telling you the gist of the culture. Doesn't say how far back either.
I've paid for full subscription, but am unable to access any info on my family as they are foreign, and was told that each country does not release info. So I said if I had known this I would not have got full membership. No point in it.

I purchased a membership to MyHeritage due to the ease of navigating it and because of the price point, which is accessible for a novice genealogist. It has been easy to use, and I am pleased with the information found--I have had more luck with the Spanish (Basque Country) branch than the Spanish (Asturias) side but this may be due to compound paternal last names. Also, Customer Service is good. Today I had "Matty" patiently help me through some simple but important questions re: privacy. I definitively recommend the site.
Family Tree utility that is easy to use. Different levels of assistance are available including a DNA kit to aid matching various people.

When GENI was bought? By MyHeritage I, as Pro Geni user with a guaranteed life time membership was promised that I'll have the same membership privilege with MyHeritage.
This promised was kept until recently but know, when I want to open a Profile I get a request to subscribe!
I've put my whole family tree of over 9900 people on MyHeritage and if they don't keep their promise to us I will delete everything!

I was able to cancel my renewal on the day it was due. The customer service representative I dealt with was excellent and even offered me the same deal as when I first enrolled - if only My Heritage had used that or a better deal, in the first instance together with a note reminding me my renewal was due.
The main reason for not renewing was that the site had limited European records for my particular research. That is surprising considering that many UK folk initially came from Europe rather than emigrate to North America where the bulk of information lies.
I was very please with the support help that I received. I attempted to merge additional extended family from another tree into mine. As a new user, I found out I ended up with a lot of duplicate persons. While I would have liked the program to have an undo or merge function to ease the correction, Dylank provided me with a very usable work-around solution. Additionally, I was very pleased at how quickly the help telephone line was answered. Thanks for providing a solution

Somehow I lost my original site but the team at MyHeritage could not do enough to help me get things sorted out. Now working 110%. Downloaded my DNA from ancestry to this site and Family Tree. Find this one the best and easiest to use and the backup excellent. Also purchased the Data package and find that well worth the expense.

Rep went above and beyond in issuing me an expedient refund after I'd forgotten to include discount code when placing my order.
Answer: My issue was the automatic renewal without any kind of courtesy reminder prior to the effective date, as other businesses do. Advising one year in advance is a poor business practice. When I contacted them immediately on the renewal effective date, they refused to cancel and offered me a 25% discount. They eventually gave me the full refund but it was due to me turning it over to AMEX to resolve. I do however agree with the advice to base your renewal on your own personal experience.
Answer: You can find your site subscriptions via MyHeritage homepage - pull-down menu on the right upper corner button "Settings". Then click on "My purchases", and button "Site subscriptions". Click "View details". The details contain section "Cancel subscription". Maybe you can get advice by mail from MyHeritage support team (support@myheritage.com).

They are highly Sloppy and unprofessional in responding to customer request for assistance. Even though they have and excellent Technical Team. Answer: Hi After posting my complaint about MyHeritage on here I got a very quick response from some one called Dave at the company. He told me to send an email to support@myheritage.com and add the subject Dave: sitejabber. He responded a couple of days later - I emailed on a Saturday - and the auto repeat on my subscription was cancelled and my money refunded within days. Hope this helps.
