VERY DIFFICULT TO CANCEL - BEWARE!
Signed up to send a Fax. It DIDN't WORK!
Had to call several times to cancel, they kept billing me. I tried to reason with them and ask for refund since I did not use the service, they refused and said 'we'll get back to you by email'.
Very dissapointed in this service! It's clearly a scam!
I tried to send faxes during my free trial which did not go through so I tried cancelling my account before the month free trial ended. I could not find a number in my country to call to cancel so I sent an email. I got a response from this first email offering me a discount and saying that if I still wanted to cancel to reply to that email. I did reply saying I wanted to cancel and received no further reply from them. I received a bill when the month ended and sent multiple emails trying to ask why and still no response. I finally found a number in my country which was on my invoice and called and cancelled. No money was taken out of my account because there was no money in my account. I confirmed over the phone that my previous payment would be cancelled as well. I received an email with confirmation of my cancellation. Now a month later I just received another invoice via email to charge me for another month. I am outraged and disgusted at the lack of customer service. Do not even get involved in with these people, they cannot be trusted and obviously don't care about customer service!
I am sorry if you have chosen this company as I did based upon a quick need to send a fax. Please read reviews from different sites - the website itself posts excellent customer reviews which I do not believe are accurate after reading reviews from other websites not connected with MyFax (e.g. Epinions). Unfortunately, this company is making money by being difficult to contact in order to cancel service after the 30 day trial. Make sure to retain the cancellation information provided when registering for MyFax, the credit card you registered with, and the phone number assigned. Also, the telephone prompts may indicate you have made a mistake when entering information. Continue to reenter information. When you finally get a customer service representative, he or she will begin a speech about not refunding any money in an attempt to divert one from the purpose of calling and also seem unable to follow directions very well - another ploy to distract from cancellation - very bad service - but don't be diverted by the poor customer service - insist on cancellation so that hopefully your credit card will not be charged again. It is best to use a completely free service which may include ads added to your fax one way or both ways to send an internet fax and pay per fax at Kinkos if an advertisement is not acceptable.
I had to fax a few papers so I signed up for the free trial. I tried to send the faxes and receive notifications that they were unsuccessful… YET I GOT CHARGED 30$! I called and they do NOT CARE at all! They told me "they took too long to send and receive ". Why am I being charged for something I had 0 control over? Thats a company problem not mine! All the compensation they were willing to cover was $10 company credit… so NO REFUND… I CANCELED THERE! Guess i lost 30$ Dont let that be you.

Efax is a complete scam. Please do not sign up for them. They will never let you cancel. I have been chasing them for several years now. They just will not cancel the account. DO NOT LEAVE Y OUR CREDIT CARD INFORMATION WITH THEM. THEY WILL NOT LET YOU CANCEL THE ACCOUNT EVER. PLEASE BE WARNED. THIS IS A SCAM COMPANY

Do not use this company, I have been trying to cancel for 10 months with no success. They will not issue a refund for their mistake, if you like to lose money please use this company!
I requested to cancel by email. They did not accept it. Took two months to of being on hold for 30 min waiting for representative to cancel. Terrible. Only faxed once and did not go thru.
I was able to cancel today, but the process was long and arduous. You must call and speak to representative. I don't recommend ever signing up for free trial
This is a rip off. Don't do it. They will not let you cancel once you subscribe. Stop there. But they also don't send the stuff you fax. Unbelievable.
For my 30-day "free" trial I was charged about $11.00 for three or four unsuccessful ten- page fax attempts to an outside number, as well as one "successful" attempt sent to: and from: the MyFax fax number assigned to my new account (for myself--to keep a copy). The "successful" ten page fax to and from www.MyFax.com's own servers apparently took 2800 seconds, or approx. 45 minutes to transmit.
It turns out that "seconds" are the units with which www.MyFax.com meters and bills fax "pages", and not "pages". Was it careless of me to assume that 100 free pages sent/200 free received--as clearly stated in the www.MyFax.com 30-day Free Trial Offer--actually referred to the number of fax pages sent and received? And failed faxes? ~CHA CHING~
Maybe www.MyFax.com has already changed its unit of measurement. Perhaps the company now prints and weighs all fax files, with "one page" converted into an ounce. An ounce is a page. 16 pages are a pound. How many pages make a stone?
Maybe www.MyFax.com has gotten more precise and have gone metric, measuring the mass of the fax page rather than the weight (just in case someone gets cute with "gravity".) "Generally implied understanding"? HAAA! Just hide any distortions/redefinitions/misrepresentations in the veryvery fine print of your User Agreement, and NOT on your webpage splash screen...
Hello L. K, this is not the impression we want you to have of the service. We do advise in our terms of service prior to signup that most fax pages take less 60 seconds to transmit (average transmission time is 30 seconds per page). When the time exceeds 60-second increments of transmission, whether or not the transmission occurs or is completed (such as instances when someone answers the call or transmission is interrupted before completion) then the page is calculated at 2 pages. We do recommended that all fax documents are scanned in Black and White at 200 DPI resolution as opposed to color or grayscale to reduce transmission time and risk possible line interruption. What a scam - you try out MyFax and then, when you want to cancel, they won't let you cancel online or via email. You have to CALL them in order to cancel the account. Isn't that illegal?
This company provides some of the worst technical support, sales support and account cancellation support that I have seen in a very long time in the IT business. Would never recommend this company.

BEWARE! They do not honor cancellations after the trial period. I tried them out using their trial promotion, it didnt work well at all. I immediately cancelled as trying 12 times for one fax is not something I want to do. However, after canceling I didnt hear from them until months later when they sent me a bill for several months of service? I told them check the records that I canceled. They said not record of it was there and if I didnt pay up the monthly bill would continue to accumulate. Then said, if I wanted to cancel I could just pay the bill and they'd cancel BIGGEST CROOKS ONLINE! STAY AWAY!
For everyone who cannot cancel their account, the only way to do this is to get a new bank card. Screw this company and may the person running the company get covid and be miserable
After not letting me cancel my trial they charged me $440 and I really hope the site CEO goes to jail to never see the light of day ever again

During the two-week free trial period, I tried to cancel my account online but kept receiving error messages that my account didn't exist. But two days later, they sent an invoice for the non-existent account, and then wouldn't refund the $10. BTW, I also wasn't able to send any faxes during that trial period. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE>

Charged $32 for a 2 page fax. 643 pages of nothing sent. Told I would receive refund, never received.

Sure it's free IF it doesn't take too long for the receiving party to accept/get your fax. NOW in the event that they take too long (longer than usual), Myfax will bill you $10+ depending on how long it takes for them to get it. In all I was billed $30 and when I called to cancel they were only willing to credit my account $11 an change, which was the amount I lad left of my "FREE" trial period. At this point I'm disputing it with my bank and hopefully they'll have better luck than I did... #youvebeenwarned #DONTDOIT #NEVERAGAIN

Answer: It is a scam service, they will not fix your problem, cancel and call your bank for a charge back. They are offering a service they do not provide.
Answer: Because they can. I am sorry if that sounds flippant, but it is the truth and there is no other logical reason for it. Please note that they don't charge by the page, but rather by the minute and they purposely use a very small bandwidth to send pages.
Answer: If they canceled your account, the login won't work! Mine doesn't work anymore and I know for sure that it's right.
