I started with pFax about 9 years ago and it was a good service. Later MyFax acquired pFax, price increased and fax quality got worse. Since I closed my small business, I found myself has no use of the service for entire last year. So I decide to cancel before the due date (10/12) they posted on their website but they charged me on 9/13 without any notification (that's their practice anyway). I called on 10/5 to cancel and they refused to refund. I'm shocked by how bad a company treat the customer that have paid them for 9 years. Very bad company, stay away.
10/10 Update: MyFax reached out to me after seeing the review. The CS manager was very nice to full refund subscription fee. I'm upgrading from 1 start to 3 stars for their willingness to make the course correction and do the right thing. The remaining 2 stars are for the initial experience and MyFax not notifying the subscription charge via email.
They don't let you cancel a trial without talking to them on phone or in chat. They will not take no for an answer and makes it very difficult to cancel. That said the product works but price is too high for low use

Had to call several times to cancel, they kept billing me. I tried to reason with them and ask for refund since I did not use the service, they refused and said 'we'll get back to you by email'.

I transferred my fax number from RIngCentral to MyFax. My plan was sending maximum 100 pages per month for $10 per month. First time that I used their service I sent a fifty pages fax. MyFax emailed me back saying your fax did not go through, so I re-sent the fax. Again MyFax emailed me again that it did not go through, so I had to do it again, same thing happened 4 times. I gave up then. MyFax charged me additional $40 for sending more than 100 pages per month. When I complaint about their service and asked to be reimbursed they canceled my account and even kept my 888 number which I had for the past 10 years.
Fax did not work, i cancelled it the same day i opened the account. 30 days later they billed my card anyways. I called them to ask why they would do that if i cancelled and they said its company policy not to issue refunds and i should keep the account open because i will be paying for the month anyways.
Do not give your credit card to this fraudulent website. They have terrible customer support, service does not work, and they will just keep billing you for the rest of eternity. EVEN IF YOU NEVER USE THEIR SERVICE.

The initial representative was professional and helpful but she had to escalate the call to the person who could reverse the charges. I explained to the Supervisor that I started receiving emails saying my card was not working and they needed a new method of payment.
I canceled many months ago. I thought I was calling about a trial I had canceled last year; because the service never worked. But the supervisor said I started it this past March. It doesn't make sense because I now have a company fax and a home fax. I asked him to reverse the charges because they were unauthorized and he told me someone I know must have used my information and that doesn't equate to a refund. Chris was frigid and attempted to be condescending, I don't think he is a very happy person. I will take it up with the bank in the morning.
Signed up for the trial, tried to cancel half way thru and they replied two weeks later saying that I had to call in to cancel because of some verification BS! Eventually just cancelled my card to avoid future deductions after they refused to cancel via email

I sent a fax for my insurance payment and after 5 minutes I had a charge on my CC for an amazon purchase I never made. Total scam.
I had been trying to cancel my account for six months, and instead, they kept taking my money while at the same time, locking me out of my online dashboard by invalidating my email address. When I finally reached a supervisor, I was told that they would cancel the account (FINALLY), but that I wouldn't even receive a refund of the most recently stolen charge from them. Stay away from this dishonourable company!

Suddenly there is no service. No email for resetting password, no faxes sent or received, and nearly an hour waiting. Of course I was always the next person in the queue. Reading the reviews just now and worried about potential difficulty in cancelling.
Tried free period. Cancelled in one day. Still they took away the money saying no proof of cancellation. Looks like a RIP OFF and stay away. You suddenly get an Invoice from Ireland!? With a Global VAT Number!?. Stay away!
This has been a horrible experience. At first worked fine, then some faxes would not go through. I had to make several emails and calls before getting any help at all, they had huge wait times, cookie cutter responses and kept blaming the person sending the fax as if all of them had problems on their end. Then the people I talked to did not even apologize for all the issues I have had. I warm everyone against going with this company! HORRIBLE!
I cancel my account one week after I used it, While in the free trail, and they still charged me 24.98 and then I call to ask why they told me that it was possible that the open it and forgot to close it. Then only wanted to refund me 10 out of the 24.98 that they took... PLEASE stay away
MyFax are incompetent and thieves, had an argument with their support since the fax service wasn't working. They locked me out of my account so I could not cancel the the trial. Had to finally report it and have the credit card number cancelled. Before I did they managed to get two charges through!
This is a rip off. Don't do it. They will not let you cancel once you subscribe. Stop there. But they also don't send the stuff you fax. Unbelievable.
Their website offered free trial faxes, but when you did try it, they end up not sending your fax and not notify you either, until days later when you realized that fax was not sent and business opportunities lost, then they said sorry you have to sign up to get fax sent...

I would give 0 stars if that was an option. Rip off. I tried their 30 day trial, I had extremely time sensitive documents that needed to be faxed to a government agency. The person that the documents had to be faxed to gave me his dedicated office fax # and I used MyFax to send the documents. After 2 hours the documents still had not been received in his office even though the line was open. I ended up running down the street to a Staples store and had them fax the documents. The documents from Staples were received by the government office immediately - had confirmation from the agent before leaving the Staples store. I then went to the Target store next door and bought an All-in-one printer / copier / fax machine. This was back in May of 2017. Because of how bad MyFax service was, I called and thought I had cancelled my free trial. I didn't notice until August that I was being charged the monthly fee, even though I cancelled. They sent me an invoice via email from their billing department. I replied to the email and told them that I had cancelled and that I wanted a refund for July and August. It is now December 2017 and they are still billing me every month. I am now filling a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, California Consumer Protection Agency and the California Attorney General's office. Do not get sucked into their scam, once you sign up they will not stop billing you, even after calling them and emailing them. They do not have an online cancellation option.
