I recently made a purchase for a mattress ant Bobs Furniture. The product was delivered at the agreed time. However, that was the only good experience. The mattress never inflated to its full size. The edges stayed flat and there were indents, poor quality. I called back to get a replacement. Replacement came at set scheduled. I was offered a full refund or another replacement if I ran into the same issue as the first mattress. Unfortunately the replacement mattress was in poor quality as well. I called customer service for refund and a pick up was scheduled. Per Bobs policy, refunds do not start until product is in companies hand. 3 times we were notified of time changes before the day of the pick up. However, on the day of pick up, we got a last minute phone call stating pick up will not be conducted and we would need to reschedule. Now I'm being told it won't be for another week until they can get another pickup in route. I will have to wait another week before my refund even gets process. What an awful experience this has been so far.
I bought a full living room set at Bobs discount furniture Freeport Ny. The coffee table is one that the top lifts up as a table to eat on. We put 2 glasses on it. The moisture of the glasses got under the the finish. And made bubbles. It's obvious THAT THE MANUFACTURER DID NOT SEAL IT PROPERLY. I PUT IN CLAIMS. AND BOBS PAST THE BUCK. THIS COFFEE TABLE WAS 449.00 BOUGHT IN APRIL 2,2022. NOT A YEAR OLD. AND THEY HAVE NERVE TO TELL ME TO HIRE SOMEONE. PAID 349.00 FOR EXTRA WARRANTY... I AM ANNOYED. WILL NEVER BUY THERE AGAIN. WILL NOT EVER RECOMMEND THEM.
We bought a coach and dinning table at bobs to have a comfortable living space for our growing family. We expect the furniture to be durable but not even a few weeks we encounter issues. The dining table we purchased can't have any water / spill/condensation on it because it leaves bubbles. We notice that in 4 days after receiving the dining table. Then we received our coach yesterday and instantly notice that there is a rip on it. We called the support service and all they can offer is a $350 gift card that you can only use at bobs and cannot be use to deduct on your bill. We refuse that offer because we deserve a brand new defect free furniture that we paid for. They gave us another option to where a technician will come out to inspect both furniture. And according to their policy if they could not restore furniture back to factory standards they will have to replace the furniture. The technician is schedule on tuesday july 22,2021. We'll see what happens from here. Let's see how Bobs customer service and their way or operations really is. I will NOT recommend any of my family and friend(or anyone) to shop at Bob's. Their furniture quality is very cheap!
They promised delivery on a mattress today, which is the sole reason I ordered it. I specifically went into a store looking for furniture to be delivered today as I'm moving in today, and need a bed most importantly. Was told what was in stock, ordered my bed, and told morning of it was "damaged" and cannot be delivered until Tuesday, IF ITS EVEN IN STOCK THEN. Was then told only solution would be to waive delivery fee (not even a fraction of the cost of a hotel for Saturday Sunday and Monday nights), or to pick up a different mattress which I have to vehicle to do. Would not even offer a "make it right" discount on the rest of my order. Steer clear
Will never shop there again. 3 months of lies and the run around to get a mattress that at the time of purchase were told by the salesman was in stock.
I order over $4000. 00 on furniture at bobs furniture at central ave in Yonkers. I order a dining table and when they delivery they brought the wrong chairs I complained when they came to delivery the chairs they brought the same ones... after I end up getting the correct chairs. After few days they came to my house to delivery the same chairs that I already had received 1week prior. My contempo sectional sofa when they delivery it was the wrong one also which it was to big for my living room and they refused to take it back when I call to request the correct sofa the managers at Yonkers central ave Charlie and Edy refused to take my call putting me on hold for more then 30 minutes. This is what I get for being a loyal customer
Stay as far away from their FRAUDULENT Goof Proof plan!
It is an absolute scam. The minute you make a claim, you will realize the mistake you made when agreeing to this extra "coverage."
The furniture they offer are of cheap quality, so there will 100% be damage. However, if you think the "goof proof plan" is what you need to repair your damaged furniture, you couldn't be farther from the truth.
They will do anything they can to deny your claim, and reject your warranty.
It's all a scam to get more money into their pockets.
If you decide to settle on their furniture for the cheap prices, be my guest, JUST BE SURE NOT TO FALL FOR THE GOOF PROOF PLAN.
They make the offer sound so good to be true, and that's because it is.
No one will cover your damaged furniture, and you will end up stressed and running around in circles trying to get answers. Not worth the headache.
I received a console table with damage, and base on Bob's rule, they must exchange it in the first year, but they don't accept and ignore refund or exchange the merchandise.

Get a call saying they came and I was not there. The delivery guy lied
Because I had the curtains open waiting to see the delivery truck.

I bought a 5 pc sectional from BOB's Discount Furniture on 12/2/2018, the panel control broke in a couple of months, they ordered a part and repaired it, a couple of months later the ssme recliner broke with no usage now they refuse to do anything about it after suggesting I purchase a Goof Proof plan that would repair or replace any damages. This is a 2500 dollar sectional with a recliner that the motor broke down, and I'm getting no satisfaction from anyone
I bought over $3000 in furniture from bobs furniture and I was made aware that it wasn't available for delivery till at first till December. Than it was pushed back till January but I always made it known that I didn't want my shipment (couches) split or delivered separately.
On Wednesday I received noticed that my furniture was going to be delivered on Friday and I made the mistake thinking Bobs furniture would listen to my wishes but they didn't. I now have miss match furniture and know my couches will ware down differently since now the other part is scheduled in Feb. How is it so hard for bobs furniture to follow simple instructions and deliver it together.
When I called to complain there is nothing that can be done. Bobs has forced us to take a partial delivery. Now my furniture is miss matched. The only thing the gentleman on the phone could say is try and enjoy your furniture. They where afraid that when the live seat was available the couch would no long be available. Well if that was the case we could have switched to a different set. Now we can no longer make that decision and it has been forced on us. This will be my last time shopping with bobs and will move on to a company that values their customers wishes.
I gave it one star because the perpetrated set was beautiful. However, I wish I had read these reviews before I spent 3,000. On reclining leather furniture. I'm posting here because the Bob's site won't let you post negative reviews. I've written three reviews telling them how sucky their workmanship sucks, and they took them down. Also, they don't give you an option to upload pics. The set I purchased cushions started sinking. After 2 days the cushions started bulging and lumping up. They don't have a refund policy, I mean what company don't stand behind their merchandise? They really don't want to exchange it either. I started to go to Macy's I should have cause these fools are running a rip-off business taking your money but not delivering quality merchandise, and they know it. I trusted them because of their tv commercials and thought they were a reputable company, they're rich liars! They need to get it right or shut down this shoddy outfit. Earlier this year my daughter and I were shopping for new living room furniture. And despite the bad experience we had with Value City's furniture in the past (ALL of our furniture from them fell apart under 3 years), we decided to check them out again only because they have a lot if beautiful furniture; however, it's a true saying "all that glitters isn't gold." So we did find what we were looking for at Value City and we're prepared to make a purchase, however, the customer service was so poor that we made the decision to leave the store, along with the sectional sofa that we had fallen in love with. After leaving VC, we just happened to come up on Bob's Discount Furniture in Calumet City. So we thought we'd give them a try. To our delight, we not only found the identical sectional, but we had more colors to choose from and we got a pullout bed with a special memory mattress, not to mention their goof-proof policy, which means that they stand behind their products. The best part about all of this is that we got it all at a better price than the other store! In addition to all of that, was the amazing customer service. The sales people are friendly and helpful, but they don't crowd you. They make it their business to make you happy. I love the atmosphere that they create. Shopping at Bob's Discount Furniture is more than just shopping, but an experience. A shout out to Eric and his team, including Rodger and Zo, who are doing a fantastic job.
My sister purchased close to 5,000.00 of furniture. She purchased "the white glove" delivery service; albeit she did not know that was what it was called. She was simply told it would be delivered and set up. On delivery day when the team brought some boxes in and dumped them on her floor, she asked about set up. They wanted her receipt to prove she had "white glove" service. The receipt was at her old apartment but she told them she was told it would be set up. She wanted them to call and check and when we did they reported that we were hostile and would not deliver ANY of the furniture and left with the furniture on the truck. I have never heard of this happening. After, numerous calls, being hung up on and horrific customer service, it was arranged that 3 days later the furniture would be delivered. This time it was delivered and set up but there were missing pieces because of the returned delivery. We were promised a substantial refund for inconvenience and have not received it. Another broken promise. David Reyes, the store manager is the only person that provided the small refund as promised on the delivery charges.

I bought a couch and dining table from Bob's furniture. My delivery got delayed several times (by nearly two months). Here's my experience:
1. Extremely rude staff: Both the delivery and the call center staff are extremely rude. One call center lady shouted at me when I asked her about my delivery timeline.
2. Extremely long hold time - Just reaching the customer care takes an hour. Imagine when you have to do this multiple times
3. Incomplete deliveries - My couch got delivered in two parts. My dining table chairs did not have screws. When I asked for the right screws, they said that it would be delivered after two months.
4. Corrupt staff - I was on a work call and could not pick up the delivery guy's phone. I called him back 5 minutes after (he was not far from my stop, but started demanding money to turn around and deliver my furniture)
In short, this place might seem to have good furniture, but DO NOT buy from here. You will lose your sleep and the hair on your head trying to get them to deliver stuff. They make it seem like they are doing you a favor by delivering your stuff.
Terrible Customer service! Purchased a sleeper sofa with white glove service. Initially, my preference was to have it delivered from 12:30 - 3:30 PM. They changed my window of delivery which was fine. I rescheduled my day to be home by 9:10 for a 9:30 - 12:30 Delivery window. The truck showed up at my home at 8:40 am, my daughter was home and had no idea what it was for. They put the L-Shaped Sofa Sleeper wrapped in plastic in the hallway which is where we come in and out of the house. I called and said this is unacceptable, I ordered white glove service to have it set up and carried into my room. I was home in time for my scheduled appointment. I called to complain and asked them to come back and set it up or I was going to return it. When I called at 9:00 AM the customer service rep said she will look into it and I should get a response about when they are coming back. At 2:30 I called back because I didn't receive an email or a call and spoke to another customer service rep. She said she was trying to get a crew out to assemble everything for me and put it in the appropriate room. They told me that they cannot get any one back until next Wednesday for a pickup. I'm in shock, I guess Bob's is too big to care about customers and proper service. The lack of communication is terrible. I have bought several times from Bob's and I would never go through this experience again.
I ordered a dresser from Bob's online for a client and scheduled the delivery date. I specified my address and contact information as the purchaser and the client's address as the delivery location. I needed this item to be delivered within a specific time frame of a couple weeks in order to complete the project.
Regardless of how many times I corrected them, they continued to attempt to deliver the dresser to me instead of the client. There was never any way for me to contact them by phone, as their "contact us" number took me into an endless loop. I reached people through the live chat, but each time I was assured it would be fixed and each time it never was. Eventually they told me that they could deliver it two weeks later... which would have been five weeks after the order, four weeks after the original delivery date, and two weeks after my project deadline. I told them this was unacceptable, but at no point did anyone actually care or fix it. I canceled the order. No apology from them was given.
I have worked with many retail companies for furnishings, and at no point have I ever had these issues before. Bob's is absolutely not worth the low prices, and this is in no way normal behavior, even for a proper discount retailer. Stay away.
I was quite confused about "sofas" & after talking with my Salesman "Saboo" it became obvious to me... he knew exactly what I needed and wanted. The "playscape sectional" is perfect for my space.

The furniture we bought 6 months love seat is not what we purchased when we sat on it at Bobsdisount Nov, MIchigan. Where this was made Korea, China the seat is hard and there is no padding for support.
Bob's discount would not work with us and we were never told we had 3 days to return the product. WHY WOULD YOU SAY 3 DAYS AFTER. PURCHASE, WHEN IT WAS DELIVERED 3 MONTHS AFTER PURCHASE HOW CAN WE TELL IF WE LIKE IT OR NOT. Horrible experience will never buy from them again...

Bob Kaufman probably cared way back in the 70s and 80s, but this new ownership is all about lulling you in with a moderate pricing model and then sticking it to you after they have your money. There is no way any of those shysters are looking at (or care about) these reviews... let alone respond and actually hold themselves accountable. We are all disposable customers in Bob's World. The sales staff takes a lot of the heat I'm sure, but their assistance is to simply tell you to call Customer Care, which is an absolute joke of a service and clearly where they are saving the money... Answer: We purchased a couch from Bobs 1/19/20, the couch had issues from the start but with the pandemic we did not feel comfortable having technicians n the house. Every call to their help center requires 1 hour and a half on hold. They have been here twice 8/11, the problem persists, 9/24 the problem persists and the technician said it should be replaced but I spoke with a supervisor Marybeth D and they refuse. I even purchased the GOOF Proof that is a Joke. STAY AWAY horrible quality and the service is worse... after they have your money
