My initial purchase of a program from Mspy didn't function as expected on the intended phone. However, when I reached out to Mspy's support team, they quickly came to my aid. Their representative was not only amiable but also highly skilled. To my delight, I received a refund within the same week and experienced no issues when opting for a different product. I purchased their product on an annual license. When I installed it in the device I wanted to monitor, I quickly found out that the WhatsApp messages can only be retrieved if you plug the phone via cable to a computer. This has also been confirmed by their support department. There is no information at all about this in their website. None. I asked for a full refund, and they won't give it to me. Pretty $#*!ty experience. They'll never have me as a customer again.

This is the only app I use so I cannot compare but it does have quite a few inconsistencies and delays. But Alex got has tried to help every step of the way. So kudos for customer service

Mostly the customer service awful, with a few exceptions. Thomas York was consistently helpful and far more competent than others that I chatted with. The chat window frequently kicked me out requiring that I spent far more time waiting than being helped. A dedicated customer service phone line would be great.

Location service was ok, then it has turned into terrible! Almost no updates for a few weeks, and i have access to the phone always! Its not about internet service,,, internet service is very good most of the time.
Seriously mspy has become awful,,, i don't know what happened to them?! (also changed target phone from android to iphone,, but still same problem!)

Mspy is average. 3 features work and are fully functional. He first one is, you can see a call log of all incoming and outgoing phone calls on the target phone. Second, you can also read all text messages that come in and out of the phone. And third, you an see the Internet browsing history.
I called tech support because blocked numbers on the target phone were basically going state to voicemail. That is not a blocked call. The rep, then clarified that mspy only restricts calls. That does not guarantee that your children are safe or the you are protecting them. Kids leave voicemails for each other. Those you cannot hear. Next feature that doesn't work is, call recording. Mspy says they do it, but the files don't download. When I called tech support, they informed me that call and environment recording is down. Ok... so... why did I pay for it? Also, GPS locator does not work. My map always shows my own location, but never the target phones.

Tip for consumers:
Be prepared to be satisfied with 3 working features only even though they market this app with many. Also....you need to have the target phone in your hand for about 1.5 hours, to set it up properly. It definitely isn't 5 mins.

Please be informed that this is the way in which Restrict Incoming Calls feature works. When the phone number to be restricted is entered in your Control Panel and the command is applied, the target device will simply not get incoming calls. The caller should hear a busy line and the call should not be transferred automatically to voicemail. It is possible that the carrier's settings work in such way that the busy line is automatically transferred to voicemail. By this time there is no way to block a phone number completely and prevent any activities with it.

Since the focus of our work has always been the quality of the proposed services, we have disabled the recording functions. Currently it is not technically possible to make the recordings feaures run correctly on the presently available range of different devices. Please be also informed that we have recently added new options without price change: SnapChat and Geo Fencing. At this time we do not support call recordings and surrounding recordings. The price for mSpy subscription remains the same.

Please be informed as well that the Location feature (as well as all other features) determines the position of the target device only in case the application is installed on the phone you want to monitor (not on your personal phone). Once installed, mSpy should receive all permissions of the device in order to get the location. Please provide us with your Customer ID so we could investigate on your case thoroughly.

Maybe late for me... but they have countless negative reviews and have a F rating with BBB as per one review from another site!

I thought I was dealing with a serious and responsible company! I was completing a renewal 12 mo. Subscription for one of my Computers and completed an order for 53.99 as seen in my computer screen. Never in my computer screen I saw or it was reflected that I was completing an order for smartphones (12 months Premium Subscription at $169.99); it was when I verified my credit card account that I found the 169.99 charge and then I asked for a cancellation and a refund.

This is an outrage and an abuse! They refuse to refund my money claiming this was a mistake from my part or that I change my mind! I cannot believe I have been their customer for a year now with three and two computers subscriptions! Here is their response to my claim:

Please be advised that if any personal issues like "I've changed my mind", "I've made a purchase by mistake", etc. occur, no refund can be applied.

1. We may merge your orders, so in total you will receive 2 subscriptions for 2 years each.

2. We may freeze your subscription until you can use it. In this case it will be put on hold and you will be able to reactivate it anytime when you are ready to start using mSpy without losing your subscription days.

I cannot recommend a Company that is abusive and that does not care for their good customers! Renewing their services can led you to this type of "very convenient" situation for them! What a scam!"

Here is an update of my situation: (MAY 08 2015)

After multiple emails they finally refunded my money!. I have no complaints about the effectiveness of their product and believe it really works. I has been their customer for more than a year and had never had a complaint until now. My recommendation is to be very careful at the moment to renew your subscription using the website, do it by phone looks like a better option to avoid these issues with the system and having to go through a refund process.
