This seems like a good deal at first but my god I would pay big money to never deal with them again. The customer service is possibly the worst of my lifetime. They really suck and now Ryan Reynolds is the face of suck.
I purchased brand new Samsung Galaxy S10e. Phone came defective. I only get delay tactics and buck passing. No help from customer service. One especially good delay tactic was for Mint Mobile customer service agent to enter the information incorrectly and not say anything. At no time do they reach out to you to update.
This is the second time since last Nov I have lost phone service, can use internet but cannot receive or make calls. After many phone calls trying to understand the people in India another new SIM card was sent that again could not be activated. My husband prepaid for service until next June 2023. I have had enough and switched to T-Mobile. My husband asked to have the payment until June 2023 switched to his phone and was told they don't do that. Be very careful, they have shut my service off two times in one year or are supplying faulty SIM cards. Money lost. T-Mobile is a little more but the people could not be nicer and helpful and you can understand them. Mint probably won't be in business for long judging by all the negative reviews.
I've been trying for a week to transfer my existing number. Did they just steal my $53 bucks?!? I was kept waiting in their "Chat" for over two hours last night until I couldn't wait any longer. Next time I checked my open chat with them it had timed out and now I have to start over. I don't have time for this. Very frustrating customer service.
Mint Mobile is the slowest internet service provider I have ever used! I can see the hay bales fly buy as I wait ten minutes for a page to load, I'm not exaggerating, it really is this slow. I haven't used the phone service yet, but I'm sure that it will be bad, based on past reviews. If you don't want to pull your hair out in frustration, and have nothing better to do but waste your time, buy a Mint Mobile subscription.
Quite possibly the worst customer service experience of my life.
Some of the cheapest rates available, but that definitely comes with some of the worst cell reception and customer service available.
Incompetent and unhelpful service people at every turn. People will say something is taken care of to get you off the line, when really nothing has been done. Employees will take weeks to respond, if they ever even do. No one can explain anything. Absolutely flabbergasting.
You better hope you don't mess anything up, this company will just ignore you until their 'return window' is up and keep your money.
Strongly advise against giving these fools any money.
Mint customer service reps in online chat:
-asked me in a couple instances for information I just told them
-were sometimes rude
-were generally dragging their feet instead of trying to be helpful
-were unreceptive to constructive criticism
Customer service is an absolute joke, the Indian Men they have working for them are extremelyrude and misogynistic. They will take your money but not provide service. They bait and switch! $15 a month turned into $25 a month. Avoid at all costs! You truly do get what you pay for, this entire operation is entirely worthless.
Tried to move my service from AT&T to Mint. I am using an iPhone 14 and after 6 hours on the phone, they never could get it to work. Since my number had been transferred, I no longer had any phone service.
I tried to get my account number so I could move to a service that knows what they are doing. They said the only way I could get my account number was for them to send me a text. Of course that was impossible, since the service never worked!
After many more hours I finally got someone to give me my account number.
Then I filed for a refund per their 7 day policy. It was rejected. So not only did they screw up my service, they refused a refund!
I've had some bad customer service in my life, but this is by far the worst.
You should avoid this business due to horrible customer service and no refunds for when it doesn't work.
First off, this is the worst mobile carrier I have ever had. You definitely get what you pay for. I barely get any signal in the middle of a city. It makes no sense. I came over from Verizon to save money. That was the only reason. I am now going back to Verizon. I need my account number and pin from Mint to transfer back to another carrier. They don't give you that information without having to contact them. But when you try to contact them, you are waiting for hours. I have been trying to contact someone since yesterday. By phone, by chat...it doesn't matter. No one answers! They must think we have all day to wait around for them to respond. It's only because I'm leaving that they do this. If you are new to the service, someone is there to help immediately. I tell everyone I know to never use Mint Mobile simply because of the poor signal. And now the poor service is just the crap cherry on top.
They ghosted me. Never, ever...not one time actually answered their help line. Stayed on hold for hours. Never responded to one email. Never helped with chat nor social media requests for help. My phone has Mint as its carrier but their own SIM will not work. They refuse to send me another SIM, activate this one or give me a refund. They literally just stole my $150.00 and will not respond to my repeated requests for assistance. If anyone would like to jump on board I started mintclassaction.blogspot.com
There's a reason they're so cheap. Terrible customer service. Impossible to contact them by phone or chat. 1'20" on chat. No answer. Tried calling. 20" on hold now. Reps are utterly incompetent. Rep disabled my sim by accident. 2 weeks no service.
Mint Mobile is by far the worst company I have ever worked with. After mire than 5 years if being a client I mistakenly added a purchase request of 1 gb of data to my account not knowing my data pocket would get renewed tomorrow. One I figured that out, I contacted the customer service and asked for a refund while I hadn't used any amount of the newly purchased extra data. The customer service surprisingly told me that there is a policy that they can't refund anything being purchased from them. Be aware, this is a scam company and all the transactions you do with them is going to be one-way. I seriously recommend you to use other companies when it comes to choose a provider. Mint is a zero-customer service company.
So I ordered a sim card and its been miss shipped / delivered at least 4 to 5 times. They just say sorry and send a new one i never get because even though they have the right address they cant seem to handle it. Its ferry not fairy in the confermation emails i get the address is always correct but then they $#*! it up. I have no active phone right now because of this crap they are pulling with me. Its really sad and pathetic really.
Unexplainable issues such as suddenly being unable to send texts! Who knows why? I call and very very nice people, read from very very long scripts that don't answer the question(s) I have. Traveling within the US and not having coverage and contacting Mint at least 3 times for a period of time each time, till finally someone got on the line and that was resolved. I don't know why.
I just learned having foolishly paid the one year in advance that if I cancel I don't get any of that money back. Unfortunately I am in my first month. And honestly I think it is worth my sanity to get out. Perhaps it will work for others better. I am done and dont see an end in site. I am on the website and also on hold on the phone for 22 minutes for customer service and somehow disconnect occured! I had a different plan for Saturday and I started this round earlier in the day. I would say be very careful regarding Mint and someone can say to me, 'you get what you pay for'.
Was told to shut up and if I wanted to speak to a supervisor or manager he would just hang up on me. I'd rather pay more for good customer service, so that ended fast and I'm back to xfinity. I wish there were minus stars, because on star is to high.
They try to lure you in and claims you can cancel plan if not satisfied. Coverage is poor in my area but I had to spend over 2 hours on the phone to ask for the refund, sure... they check the system, check check... then no refund despite of being told it'll take 7-10 days, no, not even 2 months and I had to call again.
For the past 5 months, my service drops completely and will drop any active call I'm on. This happens about 4x/day. I run my business over the phone and have lost clients due to this issue of calls dropping multiple times per day. I had great service for the first year, and then all of the sudden, calls and service would drop all the time, no matter where I was located. I've made over 11 calls into the customer service center in the past 1.5 months with absolutely no help. They all promised to call me back with further instructions or email me, and NO times out of the 11 calls did ANYONE actually follow through.
All I'm asking for is a refund for the last portion of my pre-paid months as I have had to switch carriers and pay for another plan now too. No one has been able to help me. The absolute WORST problem solving and customer service offered here.
Mint mobile is by far the $#*!tiest serving phone company for customer satisfaction ever I just bought a plan and try to use my wife as a referral now mind you I purchased the plan and try to add her within 10 hours of purchasing a plan as the referral she's been a customer with mobile for 2 years now I'm being told that I'm not allowed to add her as a referral which don't make no sense because most companies give you a little lead time for stuff like this promos and stuff I would just stay completely away because one thing I've learned is that they're not about their customers
I switched to Mint using a 3 month card 15.00 per month to start. I thought I had purchased the unlimited everything plan only to find out 5 days in that the 5GB was hidden on the back of the card. I was out of data in less than 5 days. I purchased the card from Target so the money back in under 7 days doesn't apply. This has been a really long month with a lot of trips to the library! I think 5GB is cheap and miserly from Mint/Boost/Tmobile period. Thank goodness I kept my account from the last carrier. I will be switching back after this month. The next 2 months (I've already paid for them) are worthless. I do not recommend Mint if you use data. It's not an even remotely good deal! What a huge let down. They need to catch up with the current unlimited everything plans for under 50.00.
Answer: NO, NO, NO! They have limited hours, even for "chat help". If and when you get ahold of someone, they're inconsistent, inconsiderate, robotic, and they have no record of your previous attempts to get resolution! They make you start all over from the beginning each and every time. Plus, they LIE to you when they say it's "all taken care of."
Answer: If they're legit, I'd like to see them prove it. No brick & mortar, mostly robots and simps for support. No wonder Ryan Reynolds took the money and ran!
Answer: Yes us mobile is better if u can use CDMA type phone on the Verizon system it is faster although it is nothing to jump up and down about it is better.
