I was customer for Mint Mobile for little over 4 month I do purchase international Rooming when I was visiting BANGLADESH I purchased $20.00 + tax it cost more then $76.00 but it never work in Bangladesh, MINT mobile never gave my refund,
After a loong time, I finally activated my phone and it said SOS and I couldn't make calls or text or anything. I spend MANY HOURS on chat they kept wanting to send me a code and I was like "I can't text!" I needed my account number to switch back to Red Pocket and they said only the "back office" could give me it and it would take 24 hours to get it. It's been 24 hours, I'm on chat again for a looong time and still have no phone service so decided to put this bad review up - I wonder how long it'll be before I get this account number so I can get out of Mint Mobile jail. Also they had a promo free unlimited for $15 but AFTER I signed up these pop ups appeared that I would only get 5 gb and have to pay $30 or more to get unlimited.
Dear Mr. Glickman and Ms. Frieda,
I appreciate that Mint offers very affordable cell service. However, a recent and ongoing glitch in your system that has escalated into almost mythic proportions (or disproportions…) is almost unbelievable.
Unless you're experiencing it. Like me. And my daughter, who generously paid for our family service for a full year a few months back. But I've been kicked off the plan somehow, and my phone has been shut off. I'm a realtor, and this mistake - not disproportionately - is possibly costing me thousands of dollars since, as you know, we realtors need our phones. Badly.
Mint's response? Baffling. Confusing. More confusing. More baffling.
To whit:
Those are good questions! The thing is you should have received a refund of a payment that did your daughter for $131.71 on 07/20/2022 which should have been in your account but it is in his account and for that reason the refund that you received was for the payment which was in your account for $82.21 on 01/12/2023
May I know please if are you clearer about it?

Please help us.
My phone has said "SOS" in the service bar for 6 days now. I cannot receive any calls or text or send any calls or texts.
I've reached out multiple times on chat. Super unhelpful.
They can't log into my account because I have 2-factor authentication on. And because my SIM card is broken, I can't get texts to my phone to access my account. There is no other way to get 2-factor on their site. I have tried resetting apn and network settings. Doing all the things I can possibly do and nothing has worked. And they aren't doing anything to make it right with me. Besides saying they are making a ticket to send to tech support and I don't hear anything back. It's been a horrible experience leaving me wanting to cancel my whole plan and dispute this charge with my credit card company.
I also made a post on reddit very upset by this issues and they banned me totally. And deleted my post. Tells you the kind of service they provide. Just muting unhappy customer's and not helping them to resolve the issues at all!
What a scam!
Do not use mint.
Live mobile has been nothing but a headache can't get a hold of anybody to give me a network pass code cuz their card is locked put my old SIM card in not locked they refuse to help
In March 2023 I signed up for Mint but the employee did not activate my eSim card. I was charged for 3 months of using their service even though I still had my old phone plan active and wasn't even using Mint's service. They finally activated my eSim card in June 2023 but refused to refund the previous 3 months. The new eSim had significant technical issues in which I spent 8 hours chatting with various employees on how to solve issues such as: the wifi was not connecting, texts would not send, then images would not send, then I could not text any android users. The employees hung up on me and kicked me out of the online chat over 10 times so I ended up talking to over a dozen different employees until I could find ones that would not hang up on me.
Now, in October 2023, over 8 MONTHS later, they finally solved all of my technical issues but still refuse to give me a refund even though I've spent so many months not able to use the full service that I've been paying for. I want a refund or a voucher. Even then, I'd only give a max of 3 stars for how awful the service experience has been. The fact that I was hung up on so many times and never was called back is extremely unprofessional. I never was disrespectful or rude to any of the employees so I do not understand why I was treated that way. The service has been fine otherwise, at least when I am texting iPhone users.
This app sucks so freaking much. Worst app ever. Can't believe people use this stupid app. It should be free. Like who the hell is paying for something so stupid like this.
From 10/6 to 10/12 I struggle to port my old number to Mint despite multiple calls to Customer service. Mint needs to train staff better. I am truly disappointed!
When I first signed up for mint mobile I signed up two phones. One business one personal. The first month was great. After that things went downhill. I deactivated my personal phone. It turns out that you only get 40 gigs of data including the 10 gigs of hotspot. I was using my mobile hotspot and I noticed that my data was clicking down also. So technically if you were to use all 10 GB of mobile hotspot you're only left with 30 gigs of data! Very very deceptive! Seems like I can't use my phone during the day. They deprioritize you so much from T-Mobile it's not funny! Text messages I send and receive don't always reveal the photos. Emailing with photos is terrible! But yet the speeds are very fast. That's what I don't understand about the buffering. My Mint app shows that I have data left but yet my phone is unusable. And yes I've tried everything that tech support suggests every month. I can't believe what Ryan Reynolds said about americans! Maybe that's why he sold mint mobile to T-Mobile for 1.35 billion dollars. So now we're all stuck back with one of the companies that we didn't want to be with to begin with! But I guess that's us stupid americans! Right ryan?
We had a three month contract with Mint Mobile. Everything went pretty great the first time around. We renewed and about 10 days after we renewed, all of our data, texting, pretty much everything, except for calling was not working. We called them to let them know the problem. We went through about a week of troubleshooting, and nothing was working. My husband uses his phone for work and was getting in trouble because his phone wasn't working. He uses his phone for his job all day long. (Maps and payments) When we asked for a refund for the next two months, they told us it was outside of their return policy, and that the only thing they could do is troubleshoot. They literally went through all of their troubleshooting, and it still didn't change anything. THEY REFUSED TO GIVE US THE REFUND EVEN THOUGH THEY COULDN'T FIX THE PROBLEM.
Disappointed! I guess I am naive and partially not so smart but I fell for the Ryan Reynolds charming hook! I am a 55+ year old phone user. I didn't read the fine print. The plans in the end are no different than they are for people who are under 55. It's just a hook the $45 for 3 months. It's not every 3 months for 55+ /seniors which is an economical good choice! I was thrilled that Mint Mobile had a 55+ plan. However if you cannot drop a $180+ payment (which is the very basic basic plan 5gb a month to get the $15 a month savings) after the first 3 months this company is not for you! If you are on a fixed income as many seniors are on in their golden years this company is not for you! The $45 dollars is a hook! The cheapest plan after the 3 months is $75 for 3 months which is $25 a month. You will not benefit from the $15 a month after the first 3 months unless you have big money to spare. I am now on the hunt for a simple sim plan way cheaper than the overall Mint Mobile company is offering. I hope Ryan Reynolds soccer team keeps winning cause his Mint Mobile Team is not!
Mint Mobile might be cheaper than other phone plans, but it is not worth it. The eSIM activation link only works one time. If something happens (i.e. Your Wi-Fi cuts out in the middle of activation, or you accidentally close the tab), you will not be able to activate the eSIM using this method. This happened to me, so I was on the phone with multiple people for an entire afternoon to find an alternate way to activate my eSIM and connect my two accounts into one family account. They helped me use a manual activation method for my eSIM, but after this, connecting my two accounts into one family account required usage of the Mint Mobile app, and this app refused to work for me. It wouldn't let me create an account, so I had to create one through the website instead. But even after doing this, the app wouldn't let me log into my account. I've never had any issues with SIM activation or family accounts with any previous phone carriers I've used. This process has always taken just a few minutes, but at Mint, it took an entire afternoon, and the experience was beyond stressful for me. The customer service was incredibly incompetent, and at times, rude. At one point, the customer service rep threatened to hang up on me. They need to fix their technical issues and improve their customer service.
Switching from Air Wireless to Mint Mobile has been an absolute nightmare. It should be so $#*!in simple. My husband has spent hours talking and chatting with your Mint reps and they are all morons! My husband is with Mint and he and I have the same phone. It's a 5G phone. His transfer worked with no issues (he has been on Mint since June 2023). When I put in to port over to Mint, I could text, go online, but could not call out with the sim card they gave me. The reps kept telling husband it's our phone etc. they even sent us another replacement SIM card, multiple escalated tickets to tech support, and tech even called back and lied and said it was an issue on our end and our phone. My husband called them out several times and God bless him,he had to tell the same story to multiple ppl. I was going to tell ppl about Mint Mobile but I'll never do that now. How many times must we tell the same info to your engineering team for them to get it? After 10 days, my husband said to me now to try calling out. Finally worked. Smh. My husband did more work than your Mint staff. Ridiculous
Everything was fine, until I lost my phone. I used that line as a business line with all incoming leads from $500/week in advertisement using that phone number. I purchased a new unlocked phone and a 7day trial card from target thinking that like all other carriers they could remotely switch my service to it. I was wrong. I was informed the ONLY thing I could do was order a new physical card to be mailed to me taking anywhere for 2-7 business days at 7 days I began calling, now they couldn't find the order no record of it. But instead of just sending a new one at that point they continuously said it was a problem "on the back end" the back end team would contact me within 24 Hr that went on for 3 days no results. And still no service. Even though the service was just renewed and paid for 3mo I ended up having to port the number to another carrier. Customer service is the absolute worst the fact that they cannot get you a replacement phone or SIM card without sending it to you through the physical mail is ridiculous. My advice would be if you're going to get this service don't lose or break your phone or you'll go without it for a month.
Ryan Reynolds has always been a douchebag. I should've known better than to give his company a chance. It was by far the worst customer experience I've ever had.
The inept support team broke their promises over and over. They would tell me to wait for a new eSIM for 24 hours, until the end of the day or for 2-4 hours, only for it never to appear. When I finally got one that worked, it was only because I asked the agent about something else at the end of the chat, prompting him to notice he'd sent my request to the wrong office. I spoke with the help desk no fewer than eight times, costing me at least a dozen hours.
Their engineering teem is as incompetent as their support. In the end, after they finally sent me a valid eSIM, my phone worked on the network for a mere three days before mysteriously falling back to "SOS only" mode again, irrecoverably.
I could not afford to be without a phone any longer, and I wasn't willing to go through the absurd nightmare of trying to get mobile service from Mint yet again. I signed up with a local carrier and am waiting for a refund now. I'm assuming they'll fail to issue one, and I'll need to work with my credit card company to issue a chargeback.
Absolutely Do Not pay ahead for Mint service! What they do not tell you is if you cancel your service when you pay ahead, you get NO refund! Let me state that again – if you cancel your service ahead of the prepaid time period, you get absolutely NO REFUND!
I received free service via my internet service provider which gave me access to Verizon (good) network, not subpar access Mint purchases. So, I ported my numbers (mine and my spouses) to the new carrier thinking as with most reputable service providers I would be refunded my unused portion of service. I completed an online form to get a refund and when I called to check after a month of hearing nothing, they told me I would not get a refund. This seems illegal to me that they keep funds for unused services provided but I am checking with an attorney on that who says there is a potential class action lawsuit investigation concerning this issue. Just wanted to warn all unsuspecting buyers who think you might get a better deal to pay in advance – Do Not Do It!
I signed up. Buy 3 months get 3 months free. I signed up for 2 phones. About $220. You pU upfront. I had to go to Best Buy 3 times bad sometimes cads. Temp Sims they can't convert them to a paid account...
It took 2.5 weeks to get my service right. I said it was terrible. They offered me a 1 month credit. 6 months later they gave me a $30 credit. 2 phones 1 month is $40 x 2 $80. Save your texts I had to text for 6 months to get the credit. I signed up with 2 phones same day. They shut my wife's phone off saying the renewal date differed.
Well after ongoing problems the company is all AI. No real customer service, no mgmt no real structure. Ongoing problems couldn't even pay the compa y to renew my plan. I hate them but tried to kick the can down the road and use my credit.
Due to poor service I left. They offered me 3 months free I said not worth it and lost my $30 credit. Not worth it.
After I left they had the nerve e to bill my card automatically after I was gone.
This was the short version. Not worth it even for free.
Went to Mint Mobile web site and it said there was great service. Ordered trial sim only to find 0 coverage in my area!
I had ATT for 20 years, I was paying approximately $200 each month. I recently retired and wanted to look at all my expenses and cut back where possible. I don't use much data, maybe 2 G per month. I use WI-FI at home and 5G when out and about. I live in Maui Hawaii, I switched 3 months ago to Mint Mobil, my wife and I both were a little nervous about switching but thought we had noting to lose by giving it a try.
We had a few bumps getting through the initial process switching our numbers and initial setup, ATT had issues releasing our numbers, to my SURPRISE the MINT Mobil customer service was very efficient, they asked for some info and called ATT directly for us. A few days later everything was up and running perfectly. I,m in my 60's and have never been so excited and happy, I paid $15 per month per phone, I've NEVER had a problem with my service!
So to recap I'm now spending $30 per month for 2 phones, I'm saving $170 per month on my cell service, I'm going to sign up for 12 months for $360 (2 lines) and SAVING $2,140 per year. And we experience better service in remote areas than we did with ATT!
I don't usually write reviews but I've NEVER been so happy with anything in my life!
If I'm being 100% honest my only issue with MINT is that sometimes I have a hard time understanding some of the customer service employees who have a thick accent
But saving over $2,000 a year I'm OK with it.
BEST DECISION i've EVER MADE!
Mint mobile sucks, don't even bother. Paid money no internet no calls and their customer service is a joke.
Answer: NO, NO, NO! They have limited hours, even for "chat help". If and when you get ahold of someone, they're inconsistent, inconsiderate, robotic, and they have no record of your previous attempts to get resolution! They make you start all over from the beginning each and every time. Plus, they LIE to you when they say it's "all taken care of."
Answer: If they're legit, I'd like to see them prove it. No brick & mortar, mostly robots and simps for support. No wonder Ryan Reynolds took the money and ran!
Answer: Yes us mobile is better if u can use CDMA type phone on the Verizon system it is faster although it is nothing to jump up and down about it is better.
