My family of 4 have are on our 4th month of the Mint Mobile Unlimited (or "throttled at 40gb") plan. My daughters and I can't send pictures/sms msgs to each other, only texts, and data is always extremely slow, no matter if it's the beginning of the month or whenever. We've all come to believe that most likely, since we live in an urban area (100k population), T-mobile has deprioritized Mint Mobile here, permanently. I'm not sure how to get this confirmed, but we were T-mobile before changing to Mint & the network was NOT slow like this. But since Ryan sold out to T-Mobile, I don't feel so bad about giving Mint 2 or 3 stars.
Joined Mint Mobile January 2022 with a Motorola 5G Stylus (2021). Before I joined I entered my IMEI # to see compatibility on the home page, and it came back 100% LTE & 5G Compatible. Then I went to "https://www.mintmobile.com/features/wifi-calling-text/" to see if I was WIFI Calling & Texting Compatible and it came back Yes on Both. Fast forward 18 Months, I've now lost 5G & Wifi Calling & Texting. When I test compatibility now on the Mint mobile website, I am no longer 5G Calling, Wifi Calling or Texting Compatible. Stay clear of Mint Mobile so you don't get burned like me. I am now locked in for a year with a 5G phone that has no 5G capability with this carrier any longer. The graphic used to say I was 5G LTE Excellent. I don't understand how they get a way with doing that. I'm sure it was T-Mobile who dumped me and who knows how many others! Mint is a subsidiary of T-Mobile and they do what ever they want and not beholding to anyone!
My old phone lost the network connection. I thought it was the sim card. I bought a new phone and contacted Mint to get a new sim card. I was told that no CSR could see my account because I had 2 part verification. My password doesn't work and now my phone doesn't work to receive a code. On at least two occasions, I've given them my name, email, address, and 5 numbers from my call log to prove my identity. I've been waiting a FULL WEEK for Mint to unlock my account, send me a new sim card, and activate it to my number. I finally received the sim card, but they still say my account is locked, so they can't activate the card or transfer my number to a different carrier. Apparently, they restarted the process of unlocking my account yesterday (6 days into this ordeal). I was just told that it might be 48 hours from that restart before the account is unlocked. For this entire time, I've been unable to use my phone or transfer my number to a different provider.
If I could give Mint 0 stars, I would.
I work for a non-profit that helps victims of domestic violence so I am frugal with our funds. My husband switched over to Mont Mobile so I thought I would try it for our agency. Unfortunately there were issues with the phone that I was trying to transfer the service to and it didn't work. I contacted Mint Mobile customer service to cancel the subscription, (I paid for a year in advance) and they basically said "too bad". I am very disappointed in their service and lack of cooperation to refund my money. All I asked for was 11 months refunded back to me as it had been less than a week and I was agreeable to paying for the first month even though I NEVER used their service. I WILL NOT RECOMMEND MINT MOBILE
First, Custom Service script is to do the least they can and will hang up on you.DO NOT PAY FOR the yearly service. Sure, it will work for the first month, trap you in past their return time and boom...NO MORE SERViCE you paid for that hasn't come up yet. Plan to spend your quality time to deal with ignorant thrives that are trained to steel your MONEY and TIME.

Worst carrier ever i never write reviews but i had to on this one because they need to be shut down seriously, i have never been so stressed to the point where i cry talking on the phone. They have the worse customer service ever. Never again like ever… save urself the trouble because they suck. And none of the customer service representatives can speak english correctly which makes it almost impossible to understand them on the phone and they dont have a store… like literally the worst experience ever. They gave me wrong information like 5 times and i was supposed to get my sim card days ago but it still hasn't arrived… ive been without service for 3 days because they said my sim card would come the next day so i went ahead and transferred my old number to mint… then come to fund out they didn't expedite my package so its taking its sweet time. "Got taken for over $100 by Mint Mobile. Please do not use this company. The service never worked from the beginning. I spoke with 10 different representatives from mint that all gave different reasons for why the service wasn't working. I asked for refund under the 7 days but was told the reason my service doesn't work is bc the tower was down. It would be back up in 48 hours. 48 hours later still not working. I chatted with them over 10 times. They switched me to a different tower. Phone still didn't work. So here I am 18 days in and still no service. So frustrating that I then told I'll request a refund I'm on your side they should have honored this. I was told I would receive a text message once approved. I received a text saying it was declined bc it was pass 7 days and that's their policy. ! I paid for 90 days of service and I'm still not getting service. Then I'm told we'll credit you back. How am I gonna be credited back and I cant get any service. So basically I'm gonna stay stuck with no service but they'll credit me back but cant figure out how to fix it or why I am not getting service. The last draw was them asking me to put my sim card into another phone. I dont have another phone so how is that gonna work. No matter how good the price looks dont waste your time. You will be kicking yourself later that you didn't listen to all of these poor reviews. Look at the reviews on trustpilot, they are all very similar bc these people are all telling the truth about their experiences."

I would give them a lower rating than one star. I prepaid for 3 months of service in April 2022. It worked fine. Then I prepaid for a year of service in July 2022. It immediately started dropping calls and in early October it stopped working completely. This was our main number that we had for many years. I spent many hours with their support people. They sent a new SIM card after saying they would 2 other times. It did not work. After a month of endless calls, we talked to a support person and told them we needed the number to work. We asked if we could port the number to another carrier and then get them to issue us a new number so we could continue to work on the problem. They agreed and we did this. When we called to get a new number, we were told the account had been closed and also told that they were sorry we were misled. We spent over $260 and they refuse to consider a refund since we are past the 7 day period of refunds. This is a pretty convenient rule (for Mint). We did everything in good faith. It is not our fault we had no working service after the first few months.
I got the shim card on December 3th
Paid for December 1st same day I installed the shim card from my old carrier after 12 Years with them
And Mint give me a "temporary "number 14 Days later they have problems transferring my number from my former carrier
I been chatting with them a few times and never get nothing fixed

This company (owned by Ryan Reynolds) is the worst cellular service I've encountered. They download the sim to my iPhone via the web and it screwed my phone up so badly that I went back to my other carrier (Consumer Cellular) which took two days for them to fix the problem that was downloaded by MINT. With mint I was unable to text or call anyone that did not have an iPhone... plus they added a feature for cellular data that was what caused the problem... so every time I wanted to call I needed to make sure the cell data feature was not on the contact info but had to click on the primary # or my phone wouldn't work. Mint was USELESS when it came to them helping (plus the accents were so thick it was VERY HARD to understand them). They had no idea what they were doing! DO NOT USE MINT MOBILE IF YOU WANT YOUR PHONE TO WORK EFFICIENTLY!
After stranding me for 6 months overseas with no cell phone service — AFTER I HAD PAID FOR IT — Mint Mobile promised they would reimburse me.

This has been THE WORST CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE in my life. First, they stranded my overseas without phone service FOR SIX MONTHS. Then, when I returned to the US, I discovered I had no domestic service either.
For nine months, while I paid for this service both domestically and internationally I had no service, I spent countless hours across these many months trying to solve this problem and all their call center staff did was ask me to do the same thing over and over again (reset the phone, slegar the phone settings, to turn the phone to airplane mode, etc. they are clueless.
Now, I have no service, they have refused to help, and I am stuck with no coverage. I can not even call my doctor to renew my prescriptions which I desperately need filled. They promised me a new eSIM card, and then didn't even do that. Been using my phone as a paperweight for 6 months.
Absolutely the worst experience dealing with Mint Mobile. Lucky they sol out for over a billion dollars, I guess. Too bad they can provide the service and stiff their customers.
I have service with Mint Mobile, and my experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. I chose this company because they promised a specific amount of data per month in a reasonable price. Unfortunately, they have failed to deliver on their promises, and it's been incredibly frustrating.
First and foremost, I've had constant issues with my service and data. I've found myself facing data throttling and limitations regularly. It's incredibly frustrating when you can't use your mobile services as intended due to their lack or signal.
To make matters worse, their customer service is the worse. I've paid for data overages that were supposed to be included in my plan. This month I did not receive it whatsoever. This is completely unacceptable.
On top of all this, the customer support from Mint Mobile has been utterly unhelpful. I've spent countless hours trying to resolve these issues, only to be met with poor communication and no resolution.
All these problems have been a major inconvenience in both my personal and professional life. I chose Mint Mobile based on their marketing, and I expected to receive the services I paid for. Unfortunately, they have failed to meet even the most basic expectations.
I strongly advise against choosing Mint Mobile as your mobile service provider. Their inability to honor their service and provide the promised service coverage and data allocation has left me with no choice but to look for better alternatives. It's a frustrating and disappointing experience that I wouldn't wish on anyone.

I renewed my plan for $20/month for 10gbs of Data and talk and text. I was shown on the confirmation page that I would be charged $240. I hit confirm and then my dashboard displayed that my renewal amount was $240 and the credit for my renewal was $240. At no time during this process was I told about the $24.65 of taxes and fees that would be tacked onto my renewal amount. I am not complaining about the taxes and fees. I am complaining about the fact that I was not told about them before I agreed to having my credit card charged. I agreed to a $240 charge and it is COMPLETELY DISHONEST to charge the extra $24.65 after the fact WITHOUT TELLING ME! This needs to be made clear at check out and not a moment after. I had to be told by my partner that I was going to be charged more. DO BETTER! BE HONEST!
A male customer service rep name Daniel was of great help to me. He was knowledgeable and patient. He got me signed up to the service, where other reps failed for the previous 3 attempts.
3 weeks since Igot mint mobile. And it has not worked ever. Called every day, and was told there working on it. They said I cannot get a refund and I paid for 3 months. This is a fraud company.

Answer: Yes us mobile is better if u can use CDMA type phone on the Verizon system it is faster although it is nothing to jump up and down about it is better.
