Microsoft wont help

Microsoft is not interested in helping customers. Like some other technology companies, i suspect they loose track of the fact that their knowledge sets, in building pcs and other technology, is not everybody's, that there are different types of consumers, with different goals and needs, and they make no effort to accommodate.
In my case, in 2021, I am returning to them an Xbox Series S that I have just purchased. I found the process of installing the damn thing overly complicated. I had to download an app to my phone. That's a strike right there, if the console can't be used without also owning several other gadgets, then it is already failing to be a universally accessible gadget.
Eventually, through trial and error I was able to set it up, and then learned that it could not be made to work with the 360 discs I already owned. Despite signficant advertising of the device as "backwards compatible" there is no way that a person moving entirely from disc based console playing to this device can continue to use their game library.
I don't mind learning new games eventually, but my first goal in buying this device was continuity. And it absolutely failed that mark.
Now, you might say that this is user error. It certainly was. I bought the X Box S hoping I could make it work for me, knowing that there was no way for me to buy a device that had a disc drive. So I hoped I could make this work. I was in error.

If Microsoft had also made some effort to overcome the problems for consumers that currently prevent me from buying an Xbox X, it would be solely my error. But Microsoft has made no recourses available for me, doesn't seem to be interested in making options that meet my needs available, and seems not to be interested in protecting consumers from the issues that online bots create, in limiting consumer choice.

1 star for Microsoft.

I feel compelled to share my recent experience with Microsoft, which has left me utterly disappointed and convinced of their fraudulent activities. I am deeply dissatisfied with the company's unscrupulous behavior and their complete disregard for customer trust.

To my astonishment, I discovered a charge of $109 on my Telus mobility account from Microsoft, despite never having subscribed to any of their services or authorizing such a transaction. This incident has unequivocally exposed Microsoft's deceptive practices and their blatant disregard for ethical business conduct.

Upon discovering this unauthorized charge, I promptly contacted Microsoft's customer support, hoping for a resolution to this unfortunate situation. However, my interactions with their support team were nothing short of exasperating. I encountered long wait times, unhelpful representatives, and a lack of empathy towards my predicament. It became abundantly clear that Microsoft's customer service is inadequate, inefficient, and unresponsive to the concerns of their customers.

What astounds me the most is that Microsoft, being a global technology giant, would resort to such deceitful tactics to earn a few extra dollars. It is utterly unacceptable for a company of their stature to engage in fraudulent activities and prey upon unsuspecting customers like myself.

Furthermore, their lack of transparency and failure to promptly rectify the situation only adds insult to injury. Microsoft seems more interested in making a quick buck than in fostering long-term customer relationships or upholding their own supposed commitment to customer satisfaction.

I strongly caution anyone considering doing business with Microsoft to be vigilant and wary of their practices. This incident has shattered my trust in the company, and I implore others to exercise caution and think twice before engaging in any financial transactions with Microsoft.

In conclusion, Microsoft's fraudulent billing practices, accompanied by their abysmal customer service, have left me feeling cheated and taken advantage of. I hope that by sharing my experience, I can warn others about the potential dangers of dealing with this unscrupulous company.

We buy a computer from and made by hp or dell but microsoft be in our computers and think buyers who brought hp or dell etc etc computers we are suppose to pay microsoft to use my word pad in my on computer or pay microsoft if we forget other password in our computers we own and paid our money for our on computers made by HP And Dell. This review is mostly discussing Microsoft in general, but I could certainly write a 25-page about Microsoft's current and past business dealings and how it has negatively affected their end users as well as the state of their popular products. Microsoft has mishandled the launch of Windows 10 in so many ways that it absolutely baffles me. When I reinstall my operating system on my computer, I am having to uninstall the same game apps they keep pushing to their subscribers 3+ times. I have had to right-click and uninstall Minecraft from the machine four whole times because every time I remove it, they add it back onto the machine.

Office 365 and Windows 10 right now aim to solve some of their financial woes, but when you take into consideration their honestly pathetic business tactics towards trying to increase adoption rates it paints a terrible picture that doesn't make them look good. The only reason they would be pushing this type of stuff on us is because unless they do that, no one seems to have an interest. If they are not constantly installing applications inside of Windows 10 and if they are not constantly pushing their Office 365 offering inside of it, no one would be purchasing it.

Microsoft has mismanaged so many acquired products. It is honestly amazing and quite inspiration that a company that manages to bleed out the good will of their customers in such an extreme fashion still manages to hold onto users due to the built-in nature of Microsoft in a lot of different industries. It is difficult to play games on a computer if you are not using Windows and it can be painful to move over to open source technologies when so many of the things we rely upon rely upon the technologies that Microsoft has acquired.

I called with an Xbox issue when I finally did get a hold of somebody 3 hours after calling every number I could find I finally found someone to speak to over the phone I told them what my issue was they repeated it back to me they told me they had to get somebody else involved from another department gave me a number to them told me they would send me a review through my email I called the number it said this is what you do to pay your bill and then hung up on me I tried again and again it did the same thing over and over I called a different number it sent me to a Jewish Workshop which is what it was called over the phone the email that I was supposed to be sent was supposed to be for a review instead it was a flyer because the lady knew she had just lied to me all of this because you suspended a 12-year-old's account for a picture a picture that Xbox approved a picture that had to be submitted for review I am paying out of my pocket so he can talk to his friends for no reason should his account have been suspended for over a week what a horrible treatment by your company and while researching the suspension coming to the realization you guys do what you want for no reason at all absolutely pathetic

Microsoft Windows is installed on nearly all new PC computers. It is now using it's access to your computer to take an unfair advantage to sell its products to you.

When you buy a new computer, you'll have Windows 10, the MS Edge Browsers, and a sample of Microsoft Word to use for a trial. If you want to use another browser such as Google Chrome, you'll have to download it.

And the automated setup for Windows 10 requires you to use a password to open your computer. While more and more of us are working remotely either for a company or in our own businesses, it becomes a real inconvenience to have to enter a password every time you turn the computer on, lower the lid while it is still on, or move it from one location to another. This feature can be turned off, but because the files needed for it are no longer available on Windows 10 or the web, it requires a computer computer technician to carry remove it.

Every time you open MS Word, it will prompt you to buy MS Office or Office 365. Then when you save your files on your hard drive or on your computer, it will also save them in Windows One Drive which is cloud storage even though you have not prompted it MS Word to do so. After a very few files are saved, it will prompt you to buy more storage space on One Drive. In this writer's opinion, storing my files and folders unnecessarily in the cloud is a bad idea. Your information can easily be accessed and compromised. And why would you store your files in the cloud, when you can store them on your PC? The cloud seems like an innovative way for companies to make more money off of us.

And with automatic Windows 10 updates downloaded to your computer monthly whether you want them or not, new advertising and promotional schemes are continually being downloaded with them. I can only image what Microsoft will do with complete access to your computer, as it perfects automation and artificial intelligence?

You'll find a selection of alternative PC operating systems, including Mac for Windows, Ubuntu, and Linux Mint available on the internet. Why not save some money, have peace of mind and try an alternative to MS Windows and its other products? Just Say No to Microsoft.

Surface Laptop 3
February 10, 2021

I doubt that anyone will see this but here goes.
I'm a first year college student and when I was looking for a new laptop to start this semester I decided to go with a surface laptop 3. Biggest mistake of my life. I normally never even write reviews but this laptop was proven to be one of the worst laptops I've ever had the ability to operate so I had to come out and hopefully save people from making the same mistake I did. From the very first day I received this laptop in the mail I noticed that the battery life was atrocious, a full battery will last me about 2 hours, and those two hours are spent doing what most college students are doing nowadays, in zoom meetings and completing work, the fan will kick in about an hour in of your work and the fan is incredibly loud and distracting. The laptop will randomly disconnect from any wifi at any given time, which is a HUGE inconvenience especially if you're in and out of virtual meetings. The performance of this laptop is mediocre at best, I couldn't even do simple edits on Premiere Pro without either the fan roaring or my laptop just crashing. The bluetooth is extremely spotty. There was a 2 week span where I had to join classes from my phone because the audio on the surface was just gone completely, I reached out the someone in Microsoft support and they offered little to no assistance before recommending that I buy a new one. Seriously the list goes on and on, just please do not put yourself through the irritation of owning a surface laptop, I've had it for almost a full year now and I'm just waiting for the summer time to get rid of it and buy a Macbook, yes, a macbook, this surface laptop is so bad, that my macbook air from 2016 runs better and has a better battery life. AND ITS FROM 2016. I'm not saying go with Apple, but honestly, just go with anything BUT Microsoft. A potato could have a better operating system than the surface laptop.
