Issue with MicroCenter online retailer. Don't use their online order system. Ordered a item from the online web store. Cancelled the order within a few hours of the order placement. Removed the item from my order history and sent an contact notification using the MicroCenter browser tool on the Customer Service page. I drove several hours and picked up the item at a MicroCenter store. A few days later I saw the pending charge to my credit card. It was for the online order. Sent another contact notification telling the online web store to cancel the pending charge and cancel the order. I was told it was cancelled. Three days later MicroCenter shipped the item from the online order. I sent another contact notification asking what the hell are they doing sending the item. I've asked multiple times for the order to be cancelled. I get an apology from Sean Molnar and a FEDEX return label. I return the item the same day it is delivered. Dropped it off at Walgreens. Never opened the shipment box. FEDEX shows it delivered the next day. Five days later I'm still waiting for my refund of $276. Don't use this company. Completely incompetent employees!
I bought a $50.00 set of earbuds at the recommendation of a sales associate. I was unable to try them on in the store so I went home to try them on. They fell out of my ears in all possible configurations. I tried to return them the next day. The return line was out the door so I came back three days later. After waiting several minutes, I was sent to a cashier by the security guard to ring the refund and was told, for the first time, by the cashier that no refunds were being done due to Covid-19. This was not explained by the original cashier nor the salesperson at the time of the transaction. The refunding cashier said that I could try later. I texted the store manager a week later to ask when they would begin taking returns on ear buds. I received the reply, "We are not currently accepting returns for them due to COVOD-19." and a link to their Return policy. He also replied, "We are only able to exchange earphones within 30 days of purchase if they are defective, we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause." It's been 10 days and now I'm screwed out of fifty bucks, three round trips of gas and I am left with defective earphones that fall out of my ears.
The company is taking advantage of customers due to the COVID-19. In the last 15 years I have bought six computers and three printers and annually replaced Anti-virus software from Micro Center, St. Louis Park, MN. Never another dime.
I will NEVER buy at Micro Center again! I went and told computer/laptop Kyle at Micro Center that my current laptop had a horrible mic and we need a better laptop with better mic. Well, I got a Lenovo and it is just the same---NO GREAT MIC and we need that for our church service and for zoom virtual tours. Also, I bought a Amazfit smart watch and it WILL NOT sync with my i-phone and they - 2 of their tech's could not get it to sync either. BUT, watches cannot be returned! REALLY, The watch is defective from the manufacturer, and all the Amaz
Fit watches are being closed out. THAT, tells me they know, and dont care that another customer will be stuck with a nonoperative watch! They have no customer loyalty for buying at their store. PLEASE, DO NOT BUY AT MICRO CENTER. SAVE YOURSELF THE FRUSTRATION. VERY UNHAPPY AND DON'T WANT ANYONE ELSE TO BE TAKEN DOWN THE ROAD AS I WAS.
Got my board online and quick shipping, i also enjoyed going to the store as it is well organized and helpful.
Their prices are very low, but the shipping time is horrendous. Had to wait over a week for the laptop... Never buy here if you're in a hurry
My sister in law visited USA and I have told her to get me new lap in MicroCenter, when she send me prices i must say i was stunned. It is very professional store and I did not hesitate to buy it :)
Like this service and the way they treat their customers. They offer savings up to $150. That's so weird for the quality that is good enough.
I contacted HP for a laptop issue they suggest to take it to micro center since they are an authorized repair center (BIG MISTAKE) leave my laptop there, 2 weeks pass by and they never contacted me for anything went to the store they took very long to find my laptop then they told me that no one has even look at it NOT EVEN ONCE I was so mad with these people they are just lazy boys with no expertise at all very long wait times and looks like they do not know for sure what they are doing in the 25 minutes that I was there I saw and heard about 50% of the customer complaining about there repairs too, sales of equipment and parts is very good but the service and repair department is extremely bad and careless they really need a good manager there, with honesty I can verify what I am saying that department is a total mess and by the way I saw couple of German cockroaches on the wall I even told one of the workers there and they didn't care at all, I will continue sending my electronics to the manufacturer as before and never ever go back to service anything on micro center on Tustin CA. (please see my pictures for proof) Thanks. I hope this help other people and to put strict attention to this department.
I have had several experiences with Micro Trend and all have been positive. It's nice to have a store that you can trust.
If you are tech savvy and don't need assistance in a Micro Center store, then this review isn't for you. However, if you are like me and need assistance with purchases, figuring things out, etc., then you have to be able to trust the sales associates' knowledge and experience. Micro Center is NOT the place for you. I recently selected a printer with the help of a Micro Center sales associate (white shirt) and told him that I wasn't sure if the wireless feature would work with my computer. He recommended a USB cable just in case. Made sense. In the cable aisle, we were further assisted in cable selection by 2 blue-shirt sales associates. All three agreed on the cable selection for me. I get home and find that I am unable to setup my printer because the wireless feature isn't compatible and neither is the USB cable that was selected for me. The cable wasn't the right kind or right shape. This meant a delay in setting up my printer and a return trip to Micro Center (not close by). I spoke with a manager and was met with disinterest and condescension. I explained in detail what happened and all he had to say was, "it was an honest mistake". Seriously? Three clueless employees giving wrong information to a customer - an honest mistake? How about "poorly trained employees that he isn't managing very well". I am neither 'Karen' nor 'Darren'. I never raised my voice or acted irate. I deserved better customer service that what I got from that manager. In hindsight, going to Micro Center was my own honest mistake. I could have gotten the same type of service at a better price at Target (it's closer to my house).
Lesson learned. Never again.
I been going to mirco center for a while now and i must say it been the best since radio shack when out of business
Great help and I always find the product I'm looking for. We've purchased 2 computers from them, and they give a lot of bang for the buck.
They wipped joe bartolozzi's sd card now his mine craft world is gone L. Micro center and L guy working on the PC
We bought laptops and protection plans costing $149.99,15% of the cost of each laptop in November. One is having issues which seemed to be more hardware than software. Made an appt and spent a 3 hr r/t to the store last Saturday. That store (Tustin) doesn't take appointments. We had an 11:40am and confirmation email? So, we waited. The tech spent 5 minutes running a stress test and said it was fine.We explained the errors he was getting. The pc just powering off after 1-5 minutes, etc. He then said we should uninstall the last Windows update and reinstall, explaining this to a 14 yr old. I asked if he could do that in case his dx was incorrect. Only does upgrades, not down grades. Again? Went home and of course, in the midst of the first uninstall, the pc goes black with a fatal error. Cannot sign in to pc at all. I have been emailing and asking for escalation. Was told a manager from the store would call. Nope. It's been a week. Called the home office and spoke to someone today who was clueless. Now, he is diagnosing and assuming it's windows, saying I'll have to have a 2nd pc, a usb drive, and a whole bunch of other stuff.? He couldn't even comprehend the steps that had been taken and he is going to dx a pc that won't sign on? Asked to speak to a Supervisor. Nope. "Leads" were all busy. Asked to wait to speak to a lead. Nope. He actually stated that Leads don't take such a call. Basically stating my problem wasn't worth their time. I will never buy anything from them again! This is the worst customer service I've experienced on any tech purchased! These laptops are 3 months old with an additional protection plan and they can't help!
My brother in law told me to take a look at this webiste and order my new PC from there. I listened his advice and I did not regret
A site to get everything in one place. I`ve bought a home pc here. Arrived in time and with extensive packaging, so everything went fine.
4 days after my order i got a tracking number 4 days after that the tracking still was not a good one. After 3 calls and 2 hrs on the phone still no results. DO NOT BUY FROM THESE CLOWNS.
Simply put, the WORST experience in buying a PC I have ever had.
The store clerk, Joseph Thon, was rude, dismissive and aggressively tried to push parts on me saying they were "the last ones they had in stock". Numerous times during our conversation, he just walked off and acted like he had better things to do with his day than discuss the purchase of a PC with me. He did not seem to have any other customers or phone calls to attend to. It felt like this was pushing me through every decision to be made. When picking out a case for the computer, Mr. Thon pointed at one and said "just take it already". I was honestly on the verge of walking out but was eager to replace my computer since it had just died that day and I work from home. It was a mistake.
Upon taking the PC home I found that the hard drive I bought was not correctly installed in order to be identified by the OS and there was less RAM than I paid for installed in the machine. Later, I discovered that the fans on my GPU were not properly set up after the PC overheated because they were set to remain off until the PC reached more than 60 degrees Celsius. The computer is still under warranty but I absolutely do not trust them enough to seek them out for any reason ever again. I would sooner see that store burned to the ground than return even for a refund.
I have since talked to several other patrons of this location. They told me they experienced similar dismissive attitudes and felt rushed buying other products (headphones, etc) from employees at this Micro Center.
The Micro Center at 1957 E. Joppa Road in Parkville, Maryland seems to operate like a shady used car salesman. They know they have something you want and they take pride in abusing their customer base through underhanded and aggressive salesmanship. One star is frankly too many for this terrible establishment. Potential buyer BEWARE!
The shipment received was short one item. I contacted them the day received and have never heard back from them. Sorry I ever did business with them!
