I couldn't order on web as had address issue. Was asked if I wanted standard shipping and said yes, as it says it is Fedex Home. My order is taking 13 days to deliver as they shipped it Fedex Post. I would never order Fedex Post as you could walk faster than you package travels. I could walk there and back in less than 14 days so this in no faster. I am returning all items back to MC as I lost my customer. They couldn't wait 13 days. Now MC is losing my business. I won't ever order from MicroCenter web store again.
When I purchased my Lenovo computer at MicroCenter in Marietta, GA, I had a heart-to-heart with the salesman. I told him I didn't want an extended warranty because my Gateway Laptop stayed at Gateway for over a year and I had to buy a new one anyway. He told me that because the repairs are done locally at Microcenter, they had resolved the problem of long repair times. I bought a 3-year warranty. That was around January, this is October. The desktop failed and I got a replacement. The desktop failed again, and I contacted Lenovo to see if they could fix it, and they referred me to BestBuy saying BestBuy would have the failed motherboard and could repair it within 24 hours. BestBuy, on the other hand, told me they needed 3 days for diagnostics, and then they would ship it to Lenovo, which would take another 3-4 weeks, plus shipping. So, I reluctantly took it back to Microcenter. They told me 10 days to do the diagnostics and then they would most likely ship it back to Lenovo for repair, and that it would be over a month.
I can't be without a computer for a week, much less a month. I've clearly made a bad purchase with this Lenovo T5 26IOB6 computer and a 3-year Microcenter warranty. A warranty that takes a month to repair a desktop that just needs the thermal grease replaced is unacceptable. The repair is done. I paid for it out of my pocket. It's the second repair I've paid for out of pocket. It took about 3 hours at a reputable repair shop. But if it fails again you can certainly count on another review.
I went to the microcenter in fairfax virginia to buy computer parts everything needed to build a new computer i went to the computer parts section and was immediately approached by a man named elvis he helped me and only me with everything he made sure every part i was buying was compatible with everything that it will work when i build my computer to this day 1 year later i still love my computer i use it for gaming and no problems with it t i just felt like i was treated really good and they were very helpful i went back to get a monitor and got the same treatment again from another employee all with a smile and good attitude both times thank you microcenter
Twice I came here to purchase a lot of equipment for my company. The first time I was sold computers that didn't have WiFi. This was last year, 2021. I didn't think I had to specify the computer should have WiFi. I chalked this up to a mistake I made but we were not told that the computers did not have WiFi. The second time I purchased 7 computers and 3 monitors for each machine. Upsold on the machine in order to utilize 3 screens which wasn't necessary and the cables that came with the monitors did not fit the computer. After I had unboxed and set up every desk they proposed a full return. Corporate was absolutely no help. Fool me twice, as they say. Either way, terrible experience. If you have to shop here, make sure you ask every possible question.
On this website you can find anything you need for your office/home/gaming computer. I have recently upgraded my pc and I have buy items on micro-center web. I couldn't believe how much discount this site will give you.
First purchase Dell Inspiron last year and it malfunctioned out of the box. Fast forward a year and laptop wasn't recognizing the charger cord. Took it to their tech center to have it repaired. They had my laptop for two months. Now the sound isn't working. Micro Center is a nightmare and will sell you lemons. The sad part is I trusted the sales associate who highly recommended this worthless model.
This experience does not have to do with the order itself. However, I was at micro center on October 12,2015 to make a 1600+ purchase on computer parts for a build. The help to require the items was easy and friendly. At the time of checkout I had in my hand two casino issued discover credit cards totaling $1000. The supervisor at the checkout area did not trust the cards and Microcenter of the Brooklyn store missed out on the sale. I've made much higher amounts of purchases before and I will no longer do that because of that supervisor. I took my business to Newegg, their competitor and I believe that will be the choice of my parts from now on. The supervisor should be fired in my opinion, however that is the store owner's choice. I wrote this same review on resellerratings as well. The point is to get the supervisor fired because he has terrible poor judgement and because of that I will no longer shop there.
The Micro Center in Westminster, Illinois wanted to charge me $600 to replace my MacBook Pro Model A1502. The service guy stayed "it's because that model has an integrated battery. Well I took my Mac home, ordered a new battery for about $69 dollars and installed it myself. It only took me an hour.
I will never go back to Micro Center again.
I went to the westmont store with my chromebook it does not have a internet cable slot i had to buy Ethernet adapter for it and still no internet.so i brought it in for tech help. I was told it was wifi only by 3 people i dont trust wifi.so it was suggested to buy a new laptop with the internet slot. But i did not and left. I went somewhere else and bought a different one and it worked.its sad.
Microcenter is intentionally selling bad pc parts. If you are doing a pc build watch out for their scam and try not to get all your parts from them. After bringing all the parts that we asked for, the employee gave us a card and said if we need help or have questions to call him but when the pc was put together and didnt work we called the number and found out its really their service center and of course they want you to bring it in for a fee after they sold a faulty part on purpose. So my solution was to take all the parts back instead for a refund and rebuy some from elsewhere and guess what? Now the new built pc works hmmm. It was a faulty part and they sell them from time to time so you will need their repair service next, which equals more money for them.
I need a battery replacement for my iPhone 6s. Micro Center Tustin is listed as an authorized service provider for this, and appointments can be scheduled through Apple Support. But... I specifically called the number for the Tustin store listed on the Micro Center website and inquired about a battery replacement. I was told that the store does not take appointments, and I should just show up at the Service Desk. So, I took my lunch hour to drive to the store, wait in line at the service desk, only to be told when I reached the front of the line, that they don't have any batteries in stock. What? It would have been nice if they had told me that on the phone. Idiots! I'm not impressed.
I bought a vizio v405-h19 102 days ago. It was a refurb but the guy assured me it was working condition. So imagine my surprise when I connected a sound bar and nothing. But since I didn't connect any audio out devices until 102 days later. They're sticking me with the broke one they sold me. Hmmmm Customer no more I think.
Called to talk to someone about purchasing a specific PC and was put on hold for 22mins before I said screw it and did what the recorded message told me to do 1000 times while I waited the 22mins, go online and chat with an online person. Logged onto their little chat queue and my lucky #22 came up and told me I had 22 people in front of me! So I waited 25mins and then said screw it again and decided to write a review on my awesome experience with Micro Center. I'm not sure why these stores think it's faster and more efficient to make their customers wait online in a queue or on the telephone for that matter just to speak to a person about inquiries about products I would like to buy from their damn stores!? Most people are sitting on their assess doing nothing but spending money while we're all quarantined... Funny part is they'll actually wonder why they went bankrupt!? Guess it's time to look for a barebones kit. Saaad
I was so excited when I bought my first computer I was so excited. Just the right color. It was on clearance. Never was told it was refurbished. But should have known. I purchased it August 2017. Not even a year old. I keep getting a message. Free up storage. My hubby. Look at it for me found pictures of some. People on vacation. I couldn't believe. Still more pop-ups. Then I was told by a friend your computer is going to crash. It did. Took it in for service to see if they could fix the problem they refused gave me the run around told me they don't do anything for used computer wanted to charge me more then what i pay for it talk to manager he brushed me off terribly. Sad. Sad. Story... but my intelligent son fix it right now. I will never buy a computer or any other thing. Costumer service stinkkkkkks
I ordered an MSI Laptop. A model they carry exclusively. They charged my card and then delayed. They called me a few days later and said they couldn't "verify" my credit card. This seemed funny as I was looking at the charge made on my card. They asked for bank number on back of card. There is no number its an X1 smart card Visa issued by Community Bank. I offered their email and asked what else can be done. Perhaps a photograph of my card and license? Nope. They cancelled my order. Now they post on their site for the item I wanted that it is local pickup only. I am contacting MSI about this as it is exclusively through them. Not everyone lives in Tustin California. The level of incompetence is staggering! I don't believe Micr Center should have any such exclusitiity with such restrictions.
Do not buy things here. You cant return them. The 15 day returns are a joke. Nobody has that kind of time commitment. Two mothns ago they suckered me into buying a premium grade display $149 over online price that is not compatible with macbook laptop. Went in to the store with packaged product and receipt, asked for store credid and they would not honor the return. Stared looking at networking products, all on average 15% over retail market average.
Honestly some brick and mortar dinosaurs like this dont deserve to be supported.
Amazon to the rescue. I will line Besos' pockets in exchange for decent customer service.
Don't buy the Power Spec. We have had three different ones in the past month, all with the same hardware issue. What a waste of time! This is totally unacceptable Micro Center!
I wanted a printer told the Dale's associate that I can't use WI FI because I am working from my basement. Said this could work both ways with or without WI FI my wife and I tried to get it to print and constantly have to reboot and then it was on a wing and prayer it would even work.
We gave it 60 days and became so frustrated o returned it to only be able to get s gift card. Poor service sales associates who don't listen because all they care about is up selling extra cost tech help that leaves you on hold forever. If I could give them a negative rating I would.
STAY AWAY FROM MICRO CENTER YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. GARBAGE
Salesperson said about a computer we were looking at looks like that's out of your price range if you don't mind me saying, without even first asking what our price range was.
Took my 1 1/2 year old laptop to Microcenter for repair when it shut down after I heard a "pop". At Microcenter, the technician plugged it in using a store changing unit and again, it wouldn't boot up. I left the computer with the service center. The technician opened it up, plugged it back in and supposedly "saw smoke and it had an odor". I didn't see smoke or smell anything when it shut down at home nor did it happen when we checked it at the store. The tech said I need a mother board for about $1200. 00. The tech disconnected the battery, closed it back up and I took it home. When I got home I plugged it in and it started normally. I opened the case, reconnect the battery and the computer began working as expected. Why it started working again, I don't know. What I do know is that the technician's diagnosis was bull****. Either this was pure incompetence or Microcenter's trying to get away with something. I would not recommend Microcenter's repair service.
