Bait and Switch 101

Advertising goods which are an apparent bargain, with the intention of substituting inferior or more expensive goods.

I wanted a $99 Samsung A52 and $25/. Mo Unlimited 5G:
$25/mo UNLIMITED 5G With a FREE Samsung A32 (WHEN YOU TRADE IN AN ELIGIBLE PHONE)

Everything they say is a LIE:
"Oh the phone is actually $500"
"Oh if you don't have ID then it's $250 to start the service at $40/ mo"
"Oh your current carrier gave you a lower rating so it will be $350 Plus your Iphone 13."

Hello my name is Alfreda Days I been with metro PC's since 2005 I watched this company customer service go down over the last couple of years since they started hiring all these foreigners who can't speak english and they sit in there little cubicles think when they accept a call from a customer where supposed to kiss there lazy $#*! just to get them to do there jobs I blame metro PC's your so money hungry to the point that you don't care how these people talk to your customer it was the working class like me who made you're company Rich I see you've forgotten it was the little people who was there when Merto PC's wasn't $#*! now you're riding on T Mobile no it's all about the Money soon as I get a chance I'm going to find a better company that will appreciate my business and a customer that pays there bill before the due date I can Honestly say I HATE METRO PC's NOW Alfreda Days

Harassed by sales guy

My child went to MetroPCS location in Hawthorne shopping center in Baltimore Maryland ******* to pay my monthly cellphone bill and she was told that she had to pay for coming into the store to pay the bill I've been paying my cellphone bill for more than a year at different locations and NEVER was I charged with a fee for coming into the store to pay my cellphone bill it's CRAZY and I believe it's a scam my cellphone bill was 67.00 my child had a total of 72.00 which the store guy took it all I called the store and told him that I was filing a complaint he then started calling me non stop harassing me I never picked up and I'll keep the proof as well I've filled a complaint against MetroPCS and this location so it could be retaliation this phone company is TERRIBLE! The bad reviews are true...

Terrible

Sprint is better I Don't recomend this company cause they don't improve the service is cheap but not good they say is "ilimited" the LTE and blabla but is a lie! Don't waste your money I tried anything to improve my service, calling, changed my plan and nothing worked signal awful since 4 months thats that's not fair i'm paying $ 80 dollars for both lines and neither works well the LTE is bull$#*!

When I got MetroPCS seven years ago there weren't many reviews so I took a chance because it was so cheap I'm so glad I did 7 years later I'm a happy customer, I used to have Sprint probably the worst company in the world with their overcharges and phony bills up charges get rid of them get MetroPCS you will be very happy

All I wanted to do was shut down an account
Still can't do it listen metro had gave me number to customer service so I can shut down an account because the store can't now customer service is telling me the same thing they cannot shut down in old account that I have my phone store I need to shut that account now and they won't do it and giving me all kinds of runaround what the hell?

I got Metro PCS. All I get from them all day long is (My Merto advertising) I have called them to stop plus I put a disable to my phone to stop the advertising coming from (My Merto advertising) noting has stop them. I think if you want to pay a low price you have to take there (My Merto advertising) in my opinion it's not worth it. Do yourself a favor and don't get Metro PCS.

I am reaching out to people to help me make MetroPCS refund me some of my money for a bill of 30 days phone service for 2 phones and only one phone service was working properly. I will be notifying the local news in my area to expose this company. I am a low income family of 2 and we cannot afford to be scammed by anyone (rich company) ever. I have been with this company for 4 years and they were not able to restore my service, but they kept the full amount of service for 30 days. We notified the company as soon as we arrived home 2 hours after paying the bill and each day after for 8 days. No one explained to me how to get a refund, until after I switched companies. Then, they explained how it should have been done. I made them aware of my being very sick and needed phone service and that I would have to switch companies. No one ever explained to me which is the way to switch. All, they said when I asked, is that yes you will be refunded you money, because we aren't able to fix the issues. They kept my full monthly service payment and I am very hurt. My income is very low and I am sick. This is not the way a company should be allowed to stay rich, by taking advantage of people who don't know how to get proper help from their agents. I choose zero for my rating. Please help me to speak out to the local news and in today's our voices will be heard..

MetroPC rip off

I wish I could rate them ZERO but even one star is too much.Went to the authorized dealer ( 5500 Buckey town pike in Frederick MD *******) to purchase 5 lines.Terrence did not listen what I was asking him and try to sell me free phones.Charged me $246 for 5 lines and 5 free phones.Unfortunatly when he finally realized what was I asking for, he cancel the purchase and issue $180 refund?On my question why he did not issue full refund he responded that he is actually charging me retail price tax for the phones and he can`t refund tax to me?Free phones become retail price phones?So I have paid $246 and received back $180 not even get account, phones and 5 sim cards?So no service with MetroPC but charged $66 for nothing?I have called customer service, but their respond was that they can`t find my account and they cant issue refund to me, but advised me to go the dealer again and complain to him?This was terrible experience with MetroPC, especially with guy named Terrence, who by the way, didn`t know that sim cards can be associated with personal unlocked phone IMEI and after I asked him to call someone and ask about this, he was finally aware what I was asking when I came to store.This story will be escalate further until I get my money back for service, lines and phones I did not receive at all!

I HAVE BEEN WITH METRO SINCE THEY CAME OUT MANY YEARS AGO,I RECOMENDED THEM MORE TIMES THAN i can count. Since t mobile took over metro is trash. Plain and simple trash. Upgrades have quadrupled In price for much lower quality phones, and the signal for mobile data is spotty at best in same area it was good in for 15 years or more,WI fi is spotty, you need to be sitting on the router to pick up the signal, I have two lines thinking I could use Hotspot from one to the other, nope, faster with mobile data than hotspot.and mobile data is slow if existent.I've got the Samsung a 14, and nokia g400. The Nokia is worse than any android I've ever had all the way back to early 2000. The Samsung is not much better. I had a Samsung a 12 before that waS much better. But I believe it's more possible the actual service than device. T mobile has pretty much gutted all that was good with metro pcs. I'll be leaving next billing cycle.

I bought a phone on May 4,2022 at 5:30 PM I got home with the phone I put it on charge for two hours it did not charge took the phone back on May 5,2022 at 10:30 AM to get another phone that works today is May 19,2020 to 12:11 AM I have reached out to the District manager I've reached out to the Area Manager to the store manager and I am not getting any response I wasted my money and I've wasted my time stopping by there every day trying to get my phone fixed I have reached out to Stacy smalls several times and she does not respond. My advice I would not shop with this company or give them my business this has been a miserable miserable experience I will never shop here again at this point I want my money back or I will file charges

We went to Daytona Beach Metro pcs store. Had a very well mannered cellphone technician. Had a great sense of humor. Marquis will be a wonderful person in his work at Daytona Beach Metro PCS store And in his life. We will be visiting this Metro Pcs in the future. The address is Metro by T-mobile 104 N. Same problem with all the phone support I call. The broken english with their accent makes for a very confusing conversation. Hey I know they must be frustrated too and I have to be hard for them to understand but honestly I am getting tired of saying HU? What was that again. Then trying to figure out what word in english sounds like anything they are saying most of the time I am asking them to slow down and repeat what they just said but they don't.Dont we have any english speaking phone support in America? I mean I know full well why this happens, profits. But they have to be losing customers. What I really am confussed about is the same accent that I call for support is the same accent that calls me as a fragerlent scam and I cringe everytime support asks me for my private information. But i dont blame anyone but these companys and their need to make American profit but employ people out of our country. Its Win/ Win for them but for us we pay more just to get what we pay for. But it always cost more.

I bought a phone they gave me the phone and number but never gave me a pin number. And can't get into my account. Won't allow me to set up new number even with my driver's license. Wow!
