The doctor I talked to was very condescending. I have a sinus infection that has progressively gotten worse over the last 4 days. To the point that my sinuses were throbbing and I was so dizzy I could barely function. I called in to MD Live and the doctor said he could not give me antibiotics unless I had symptoms for more than ten days. I explained to him how sick I was and he said that was the rules. I told him I was going to have to go to my doctor and he said no doctor is going to give you antibiotics. It was crazy! I ended up at urgent care and the doctor looked in my ears felt my sinuses and said you have an acute sinus infection and he gave me antibiotics and steroids. I used MD Live to save money but ended up paying them and for an urgent care visit. Total waste of money stay away.
Paid $40 for a telehealth dermatologist visit which ended up with no visit just a review of uploaded images. No contact with a doctor at all, just messages, will NOT repeat that mistake!
CAUTION! I used this app because it's included with my insurance. However, I will never use it again. I saw a provider and was prescribed the wrong prescription, when I went to message the provider I found out that you're not able to. I contacted customer support and was told that "the doctor must contact you first" and I have to wait for the nurses to set up a dialogue with the Doctor. This is dangerous and unacceptable. I will never use this app and warn everyone not to use it.
I had an ear infection and called to hopefully get an antibiotic to tide me over until I could find a specialist. I paid $63 to be told I can't be given a prescription without seeing the ear. Why allow a call in then. My conversation lasted 3 minutes
In my opinion these people seem to do nothing but complete a checklist, and only seem to want to prescribe whatever they're pushing at the time. I've had to do two separate visits with two different people because I'm still sick another week later. Both ignored me when I told them what is known to work for MY upper respiratory infections and would only prescribe what they suggested. This has resulted in an extra week of being sick and not being able to work. They talk as fast as they can and when I told them I couldn't follow what they were saying they didn't acknowledge that, nor did they seem concerned enough to take the time to let me understand their words. It is sad that they are getting away with this kind of behavior.
Dr was great, last rep I spoke to in customer service was great but it is difficult to navigate their site and the intake person had wrong birthday on my chart. Long wait time on hold. I prefer teledoc
I had a scheduled video call with Dr. Laura Wade at 11am. By the time I had logged in to join the meeting she had cancelled it at 11:02 am! I guess as a doctor she really care at all about her patients.
I called customer service and was informed that she is not supposed to do that until 10 minutes have passed.
My call would have taken 10 minutes of her time tops, a simple request for a prescription refill. 1-star to the app for not disallowing doctor's to cancel within 10 minutes. 1-star to the doctor for obvious reasons… what a waste of my time… will never use this service again.
In my opinion this is a joke. Got told couldn't help me and I needed to go to the emergency room. The whole time there was a dog barking in the back ground and I couldn't understand half the things she was saying. I paid 50 dollars for nothing. So no service 50 dollars and a er visit. What a waste.
My son, who is at college with no car to get to an urgent care used MDLIVE to try to get help. His girlfriend, who he was with all weekend, tested positive for the flu. He then developed a fever. He called to try to get tamiflu prescribed and the woman said tamiflu doesn't work with kids his age (he's 19) and the only prescribe it to the elderly, which is a complete lie. He is now sicker than a dog and missing his classes and work for many days in a row. They literally did nothing for him.
Had an appointment and told the doc online that I had had the worst sore throat that I've ever had and couldn't swallow at all.
The doctor asked me a series of questions, and then told me what I had was "definitely viral", and the only thing he could do is prescribe something for my cough and advise me to gargle with salt water, and I would be fine in a few days.
3 days later I ended up in the er, with peritonsillar abscesses in my throat due to the strep advancing... So unfortunately it was definitely bacterial.
There was no follow-up from MD live, and when I did talk to someone about my terrible experience with the misdiagnosis all they could say was I'm sorry you had a bad time, please make sure you take care of your copay because it's still outstanding.
I have used MDLIVE several times to get refills. The doctor I see on here is great, but after several YEARS of seeing him MDLIVE charged me full price (over $200) and did not charge the insurance I've been using for all of those years. I called and was told I needed to wait a minimum of 45 days for a refund. That is unacceptable, considering they had my insurance on file.
Wouldn't prescribe my daughter with antibiotics that has strep throat. Says she doesn't have strep but I'm the mama and I know what my daughter has. Refused antibiotics and hung up the phone on me. Been using them for years and will never use them again! There all horrible!
Was receiving therapy and felt like it was really making a difference but on 3rd visit therapist needs to hang up and call back, that was ok. But something happened to phone (theirs) and then next thing I know, she canceled and blamed me. I tried to call them but was told too late and I would need to schedule another appointment for another time. I needed her today, if she can't take responsibility for something that happened and her fault and not be there when I need them, well you can kiss my.
If I could give zero stars I would. I had my FIRST initial appointment today for psychiatry. When the session began she didn't introduce herself. She started off with what could I do for you? What a way to build a relationship with your patient! Very unprofessional. Literally was in the video session for 5 minutes. Like other reviews said they are only out for your money! All the years I had psychiatrists this is the first time I ran into such an unpleasant experience. NEVER will I use MDLIVE again! If I'm able to disclose the name of the provider, if you wanna call her that, her name is Angela Jacob's. I am giving her name so nobody else has to experience what I have. I am waiting for a supervisor to call me back as well. I will go back to using MINDFUL CARE! Such caring and professional people. (Had to use MDLIVE because my DR wasn't available.)
MDlive is GARBAGE! Assigned an incompetent doc, as noted in EVERY review! Called customer service. The gal would not give her name, rude, NOT helpful! I will NEVER EVER use the joke of a service! Waste of time and money!
Have used a few times - free through my insurance plan. Absolutely horrible every time. The scheduling request system errors consistently. I've had one or two okay experiences. Otherwise, I've had horrible and time wasting experiences. They don't really listen. They especially do not know how to prescribe basic antibiotics, or other very basic medications. Working in EMS Rescue, I give myself better care. Do not recommend if you have to pay.
The doctor didn't listen. Less than two minutes and told me I need to see a doctor in person for a sinus infection or a migraine headache. The MD Live doctor didn't ask any questions to even try to find out the problem. Why is my employer using this service as a perk? Really? Why have an online service that can't treat these common ailments? Waste of time and money.
MD Live charged me for a tele-visit in December 2022, without my consent. I have been in contact with them requesting a full refund since the charge was withdrawn from my account for going on two months now. It is (as of today) February 2023 and I still have yet to receive my rightful refund. I also have documentation stating the withdrawal of funds from my account without my consent was in fact a mistake on their behalf, but still have yet to receive my refund. When I call, I get the run around and although my request has been "expedited" I still have yet to receive any real action or resolution. Be very weary of this source of care b/c they have no hesitation taking your money but every excuse to return it.
I served 5 years with the platform and ultimately was treated very poorly by one of the medical directors. MDLive is pretty awful to providers overall.
Spoke with three different doctors and a nurses in two days. They took all of five minutes to talk at me and did not listen to my concerns. The last one, Philip Bronowitz, MD, dismissed my concerns about a treatment, insulted my intelligence, and spoke with an arrogance that was truly astounding. After two days and numerous phone calls, I still don't have a resolution and I have wasted several hours of my weekend. I wish I could give it 0 stars. Steer clear!
