Maytag

We have owned Maytag appliances for years. We own Bravo, industrial technology, large capacity washer. We are careful not to overload. The machine goes off balance with even small loads despite being serviced routinely. There is no automatic stop when the machine goes off balance. This is a major flaw in design. We have used other high end brands and they all had an automatic stop feature when the machine went off balance. Maytag seems to sell less value added products.

So sad. We bought a Maytag washer January, 2019 because Maytag had good ratings and if you believe their commercials their product last a really long time. While it was working it did a very good job. Well, after almost exactly 5 years our washer had a major breakdown and the cost to fix it was $700. We took good care of it while we had it. Very disappointing that Maytag does not live up to its proposed reputation. Maytag will no longer be a vendor whose products we purchase.

We've had our Maytag washer and dryer since 1986 it's been through seven kids and two adults ( plus various pets). It's had some issues but nothing big that I haven't been able to repair. The reason I'm on here now is my fault. I'm doing some work on the floor under the unit and in my haste to pull it out I forgot to remove the drain hose from the drain and I snapped the plastic piece that holds the drain hose. So now I'm hunting parts for a 36 year old washer. My reasoning is if it still runs why replace it? But right now I need a part!

Erin saved the day. Excellent Customer Service skills. The first customer service wrap I talked to paled in comparison with Erin. Erin quickly established what I needed and gave me a path of travel to having my washer repaired. I want to commend Erin for making my day!

We bought a Maytag washer, dryer, dishwasher, gas stove and microwave in November 2020 for our new home and have had nothing but problems with all of them other than the microwave. Do not buy any of these products or you will be sorry! Be warned!

Recently we were in the market for a new clothes dryer. Thinking in the past Maytag had treated us well, so we purchased model MGDP575GW0. The salesman said it is industrial rated! Got to be good, right?
It is freaking terrible!
Takes hours to dry even thin material!
Towels n blankets, wow, do you have all day!?
Very dissatisfied! (And yes, we have cleaned our vents)

My son in graduate school lives alone in our home. We visit randomly every few months so we bought a new Maytag washer and dryer.
Thee washer failed... no support available except a commercial services. Visit in Seattle cost $160.00. Motherboard failure after 2 years of light usage. Unable to replace the motherboard! Bad purchase stay away from Maytag. We're just putting the laundry units on the curb, or the dump, then go to a different store, for support and purchase a different brand.
I grew up with the Maytag name, at least three families in our town will get the message not to buy this brand.

Bought a Maytag refrigerator 2 months ago. After 2 weeks refrigerator section doesn't get cold. Have had service come 3 times and this week will come a fourth time. Still can't fix problem. I have a real lemon and they refuse to exchange it. Have had food spoil and cannot get items such as milk and egg's because of fear of spoilage. They only care about money not consumer happiness. I bought this Maytag top loading washer over two years ago. It does not clean clothes. They come out smelling bad. I bought this machine thinking I will never have to buy another one because {That maintenance man sitting around!} One thing about us victims; Once you hit us, we flinch. I will never again buy any sort of Maytag product and would actually pay double to avoid their products. Anyone who needs a washer ought to do their homework first. Do your homework, be happy.

We purchased a Maytag top loading washer and dryer in 2000. It always made a bit of a ticking noise but when it became louder we called the service man. We need to replace the gear case We paid $84 to find that out and repairs will cost $530. This company used to make good products, but it seems like they don't care now. Forget the 10 year warranty which insures that your machine will keep running for years. It covers key parts... but the transmission is not a key part!

Bought a new side by side fridge, gas range, microwave and dishwasher in Nov 2019. Fridge leaked water from ice maker valve first day and needed replaced. Hinge on door popped off and service said $700 door needed replaced. Maytag supposedly will replace under secret warranty. Still waiting 7 months later for replacement door. Fan starts by itself on microwave and you can't turn it off…then it quits 5 minutes later by itself. Center burner on range quit working. Would I buy again? No thanks!

I bought a Maytag Washing Machine from Lowes a couple of months ago. It is a horrible machine. It would only allow the water to flow in for a few seconds and then cut off. It's a complete waste of money. I'm so disappointed.

Purchased a Maytag washer on January 12,2022 at Costco. Model #7MMVWC465JW1. The worst machine, it's has minimal agitation and the clothes are never clean after washed. The spin cycle is not good either. I've tried reaching out to customer service and have not heard back from them.
I am a kind person and I can't think of a kind or positive thing to say about my Maytag washer.

I've been on a 'waiting list' for a part on my washing machine... that's less than a year old. It takes about an hour for each phone call I've made (about 4 to 5 calls) and I'm always told a part is on the way, but it never comes. In the meantime, my washing machine sounds like a grinding airplane taking off in my house every time I do a load of laundry. It's getting worse the more I use it. I've been waiting for about 4 months now. Really? I will probably have to end up buying a new washing machine... and it won't be a Maytag.

Plastic parts are all in the internal works of the machine. This washer breaks
Down constantly. I could not go 2 mos. Without having to call the service co.

Hardware! I will never buy a Maytag anything as long as I live! What a scam!
