“Broken timer after 3 years of service”

My dryer (Model MGDX655DW) is only 3 years old and gets light to moderate use i. E. 2-3 loads per week. The timer is not working so the dryer never turns off. The replacement will cost me $275. With parts and labor.
Also the handle is cheaply made and broke off.
