2 year old Maytag Washer MVW6230HW1 broken. I came home to a electrical Burning smell in my Landry room. Realized that my washer was not on and clothes were not finished. I'm an AC service contractor in Florida. Unplugged the washer and pulled panel to find the board had a burnt spot on it. The lid is locked and my clothes are stuck inside unless I get a board or break the lock. Called Maytag and the warranty department said not under parts warranty and while I was talking transferred me to the out of warranty department. POOR Customer service and BAD product!
We bought a Maytag top-loading washer and from day one it has been an issue. When it begins to spin out, it becomes off balance and completely shuts down if more wet clothes get on one side. It's absolutely horrible and I will NEVER buy a Maytag again!
My wife decided to buy a maytag washer and it was breaking down every month or so, we contact the insurance that we bought and they fixed it like 6 times, after a while it broke down and the appointments were months away, then to order parts and the the insurance we bought at pcrichards expired, so my problem is what is the point or idea of the factory warranty when it has no value. You call maytag and they say call where you bought th we washer. She ended up throwing it away and then bought another one and like 4 months after the same thing started to happen sensors started braking down contacting the companies and its already another headache. I wouldn't buy another Maytag they don't last long without parts braking, they just fancy looking but quality wise not that good.
I purchased a he washer approximately 4 years ago and I have had nothing but trouble from day 2. Yesterday it died in the middle of a cycle. Needed a new one so I replaced it with an Amana. NEVER again will I buy any Maytag appliance
Terrible customer service. They do not answer the phone. I am on hold for 30 minutes. They sent a contractor and never heard from him or them after. I called the contractor and he said they closed the case without sending any info to anybody or myself. They don't answer when you call them and they put you on hold for long time. Or, you can choose to leave your number and they will call you after 3 weeks
Turns out the warranty is awful. They charge to come out and the labor. Maybe the price of the part is covered if it is a specific part that is covered (and there are not too many that are covered). What a joke.
Typical Maytag product built for service calls not to last, so they can profit thier new marketing trick. The fridge doesn't close properly, parts are broken and cracked.fridge is freezing all of my produce!
Facts: I purchased a Maytag washer 3/27/2022. I paid almost $1000.00 for the appliance. Currently, it is not working after less than 8 months of purchase. I am the only one using this machine, with generally 2 to 3 loads a week. I do not have children in the home, and no pets. The machine cannot handle one set of queen sized bedding, without wrapping up into a ball, going off balance and not getting TWO COTTON PERCALE SHERTS CLEAN. It's the worst machine I've ever used.
I went back to the appliance store where I purchase it, Not a big box store... again, less than 8 months ago. They were very nice telling me... "Maytag isn't what it used to be. We're not surprised it's broken, they're not built to last. We'll set up a service call. WTF?"
I recommend no one ever purchase this product.
I paid a premium for a Maytag front loader washer, dryer & pedestals. Both the washer & dryer are defective and have intermittent problems. I called Maytag to report the issues, They are unable to locate a warranty repair person in my area, so keep emailing internal departments to locate a repair person in my area, that doesn't exist. I asked for replacement, but they say the warranty only covers repair, not replacement of defective merchandise. They say it's not cost effective or in their best financial interest to replace defective merchandise. I own 2 expensive defective units now & they tell me they're emailing another department. I emailed the FTC & my state Attorney General, as they have no people in my area to honor their warranty. They have no business selling items in my area. It's deceptive business practices. The Maytag name means nothing. Buy another brand.
We purchased a Maytag dishwasher and just after the warrantee was up, about 11/2 yrs. The main data board went nuts. Only working when it felt like it. Sometime in the middle of the night etc., you get the picture. I've contact Maytag many times and they do nothing. Always responding and referring me to someone else that never gets back. When googling my issue I found many many unsatisfied customers all with the same problem. Maytag was purchased by Whirlpool a few years back and now their product has gone to $#*!. Don't buy Maytag, they don't care about their customers and their products are awful.
They are junk.had my new washer replaced by warranty after 8 months. The theplacement was an upgrade and it's just too!
The most recent Washer started leaking oil on the floor. Tech said its the transmission and needs to be replaced and they have seen this MANY times and to just buy a new washer.
My husband and I purchased a MayTag dryer from costco on 6/21/2022. It broke down on 10/9/2022. After contacting costco and MayTag technical support many times, MayTag finally sent a technician on 11/8/2022, a month later. The technician said the wiring harness has issue and he ordered the part from MayTag. It will take 21 days to ship. It is almost 1 month a half now and we still haven't got the dryer fixed by MayTag. DO NOT buy MayTag dryer!
I purchased a Maytag Dishwasher Model# MDB9959SKZ from Lowes (don't get me started on their customer service) and it was installed 4/21/22. The unit stpped working mid June and repair company confirmed bad board on 6/30/22. Parts arrived and repair scheduled for 7/11/22. Apparently not all parts arrived. Now 9/30/22, and parts are still not in and have an ETA of 10/24/22. I asked for a complete replacement and was denied. Good to know when you buy a product for $1000 you can get a months use out of it. Oh, and never buy an appliance from Lowes, they wash their hands of it the minute the sale is done, and will not even assist you with getting issue resolved.
The Maytag washer does not clean clothes. I waited TWELVE hours for a repair person (on a Home Depot warranty) only to be told that there was nothing wrong with the washer. It was my fault because I did not use HD detergent. It was my faulty because I did not take the machine apart and clean it. It was my fault because there was softener residue in the dispenser. Really? So that is why dirt on clothes is still on there when the cycle is over? My mistake? I purchased JUNK! Worthless.
Purchased all new appliances less than a year ago and 6 weeks ago our washer quit working. It was the circuit board that needed replaced but couldn't find the part... with each call we were told you have to wait a month then when we called back it was 5 more business days, then kept giving us the run around on either finding the part or replacing the washer. After almost 2 months we were told today they will replace it and it would be delivered in 4 weeks! Oh, we could get a refund but that required them sending someone to get this washer then it would be 2 more weeks to get us a check. I won't ever buy matag again. Poor quality, poor service. Don't buy!
I purchased a washer and dryer. Trouble from day one. And customer service is a joke. You have to push 10 buttons before you can speak to someone. Then they tell you if they send someone to your house they can charge you a service fee if they don't find a problem. Well it takes 2.5 hours for me to dry a batch of clothes which is ridiculous.
I purchased my maytag dryer 2.5 years ago. It wouldn't dry completely in one cycle and had to be restarted. I purchased a washer thinking my ancient washer was the issue. The new washer didn't fill very high as most new ones dont, and didn't clean very well. After buying my washer I contacted Lowes due to the dryer still not drying in one cycle. They informed me 3 months was too long and it wasn't their problem. I contacted maytag who said it wasn't theirs either and to call a repair man. I contacted them multiple times without any help being offered. Maytag apologized for my issues and has never offered to so much as look at the machines. After 2 years the dryer quit. A few months after the washer started making a grinding noise and stopped working also. The quality if their products and their customer service and resolution all deserve less than one star.
We bought our Maytag washer and dryer from Home Depot. 12 1/2 months later, the washer threw a code, F9E1. I called Maytag and spoke with a rep who said that since my washer was only out of warranty by a few weeks, he would extend a one time warranty visit. The serviceman showed up and informed me that we needed a water pump and wiring harness. After waiting several weeks, we were informed that the parts were not available. Maytag said they would replace the machine. The delivery people showed up this morning as we were told and picked up the old machine and delivered a brand new one. Great job and excellent customer service by Maytag.
I ordered a Maytag washer online 12/13/21. The site information indicated 12/20 delivery. I phoned & spoke with Maytag phone reps on multiple occasions to confirm delivery on 12/20 while also checking online site for delivery status, all info indicated 12/20/21 delivery. Today is 12/20/21.
I phoned Maytag to check delivery time. I was informed by the phone rep. That no delivery was scheduled and was given a delivery date of 01/03/22. The rep. Stated customers are often confused about delivery
Online instructions. I phoned multiple times for delivery confirmation and am pissed off that on the date of what was suppose to be delivery of my washer was not. I was informed ( after I called again). No delivery was scheduled. I am very pissed off about this incompetence on the part of theMaytag company.
Bought a fancy, expensive set. The washer was missing the letters on the panel, so you could not read the dial. Had to get the entire panel replaced. The machines are way too complicated for a normal human. Grr. I hate them.
