My business made an order with Makergeeks before Christmas 2016. Makergeeks acknowledged the order and immediately billed my credit card. I then waited for over 2 weeks. No product arrived and there was no shipping confirmation or further correspondence. I emailed to query the status and the email was bounced back as undeliverable. I went to the website. The website was down. I went to isitdownrightnow.com to confirm that it was down for everyone. It was. I telephoned. There was no reply and no voicemail. At this point I am contesting this with my credit card company. I have since corresponded with Makergeeks and their website is back up. I have still not received either what I ordered or the money I paid.
Have had the geek box for just under a year and some times it would come and other times I would have to email customer service. Also made a lot of separate orders and did not have the best of luck. They would say my orders where on back order but I would never hear anything for weeks at a time till I would contact them. They also tried to charge me twice in one month for the monthly geek box and I finally got the refund for one. I have cancled my monthly do to never received it this month. They said they had so many orders they where behind. They are supost to refund this month and the next month they have already charged me for. We will see.
I have been a customer of MakerGeeks for some time and they have been GREAT! Great customer service, Great products and Great people! I have not had any problems with anything that i have purchased from them. There filament has been always constantly good, prints are always smooth and clean.
Their monthly MakerGeeks Box subscription is also Great! Not just "samples" of product, ROLLS of product. They give you so much more for your money than the other monthly box services.
I wish i could give them MORE STARS!
I was very excited about this company and their product and made the mistake of ordering a lot of filament before I tried one. I am now the proud owner of a lot of bad PLA filament. First, it does not flow well off the spool and gets tangled very easily. Consequently, I have to monitor the print job to keep the filament flowing off the spool or it gets stuck. Second, as evidenced by the amount of times I have to change out the dessicant, coupled with some poor print quality, the filament appears to have a high water content and doesn't work well. They have cool colors, but the filament is "crap". And of course the customer service is poor. I wasn't receiving my order, had to contact them many times only to be told they were out of stock of many of my items. They didn't make the effort to contact me to let me know this, I had to contact them. I don't recommend this "made in America" company which is a shame.
Ordered filament and didn't receive any kind of notice for several weeks! So I emailed only to find out it had been back ordered. So I wait another week and I finally receive a shipping notice. The filament shows up and it's not even what I ordered. I ordered a glow in the dark purple and he sent me plain purple. I ordered blue/gray and he sent me plain gray. I guess he thought I wouldn't notice. The filament was cheap stuff from China, and priced like it was from the US? On top of everything the guy is a Jesus freak and likes to include passages from the bible at the end of emails... just not professional if you ask me. Beware of the printers as well I hear in the 3d communtiy; they are also cheap junk from China. Do yourself a favor and build your own.
They have an F rating from the BBB. Here is an article I found.

Cheep isn't always good. In fact, you will save yourself a bunch of money by not purchasing makergeek products. You pay, they don't deliver. That simple, that easy.
Ordered some HTPLA. They were apparently out of stock but didn't tell me. Emailed a week later. Got a refund but they shipped it anyways. Does not print well.
Ordered Dragon Metallic Silver Shine, tolerance is supposed to be. 05mm on a 1.75mm spool. I'm getting readings as low as 1.67 and the filament is grinding before there's even any retractions.
Signed up for the monthly box. They don't tell you they bill you on the first of the month but don't ship until after the last day of the month. The entire business feels very scammy. DO NOT GIVE THEM MONEY
Placed an order on November 1st. I knew they were busy so I let them be. On December 13th I checked on my order and it stated FULFILLED on December 11th. No tracking number or e-mail sent. I questioned them about this and they stated they would get me a tracking number "soon". Jan 1st and still nothing. I have had issues on 12 orders throughout 2018. Only my first 2 orders were perfect. Come to find out there are others who had orders FULFILLED on the same exact day with no tracking number. FRAUD
I have used this makergeeks PLA in 3 different machines and it has jammed in every single one with a myriad of colors and spools. Im very lucky if I get a successful print that still just doesnt look great, but it works. The Raptor PLA and the PETG seem to print alright although the raptor strings like no other until you tweak it into jamming. Oh, the other thing when the regular PLA prints it too strings and under extrudes no matter what settings I have. I also have a pending order with them that I ordered through a 20% off sale and it has been 2 months since I ordered and I still have nothing. I will say that I have contacted customer support and they said their PETG machine went down and it would be shipped out in 7 days, that was a month and a half ago. So, I got a response but no resolve. Just avoid the headaches and pay a little more for better material and an actual business transaction.
I had the subscription box, and had to temporarily suspend it while out of town. That was no problem, they told me they'll get me up and running again when I get back. That was in July.
I emailed on Sept 17th to get it started again. No response.
I emailed again on Sept 23rd. No response.
I emailed again on Sept 26th. No response.
I checked my spam every day just in case. Nothing was sent to spam.
They have no phone number on their website. They have locked Facebook down so you cannot contact them there, in any way.
I contacted them on Twitter today and was repeatedly told to email them. After telling them that the least they could do is acknowledge that email isn't working, I finally got a different response - an abusive response, claiming they already told me what to do (they never did) that ended in them blocking me on Twitter when I said "good bye".
Great filament but I'd rather pay more to anybody else.

I placed my order Nov 24th and I still have not received it and it is Jan 15th. I email them and they do not reply. They suck. There is no phone number on the website.
Raptor PLA is pretty good stuff, too bad when I last ordered it, it never came. After literally months of back and forth I was sent some generic PLA rather than the raptor I ordered; it's not worth the time or aggravation dealing with this company.
Very quick response to my inquiry! Really appreciate doing business with an american company. I hope that the wonderful support will continue, as it makes a big difference to me where I buy from.
Been trying to get an order status for 2 moths. No responses to multiple emails or FB messages. No answer at listed number of *******092. Will be reversing charges on credit card.
Orders are either slow or never get delivered, what does get delivered is usually damaged. I've sent 4 emails about a purchase I made and no response at all
The filament from Makergeeks is amazing. Prints beautifully with my machine and have not had any problems with their filament. It also smells very good when printing
Well same problem as the other reviews have. Ordered filaments and did the monthly box subscription. Been getting the monthly subscription. Also received my order of 2 HTPLA. But I got a 100 gift card from them with the monthly subscription. 1st off had to bug them to get the gift card added to my account. 2nd I ordered 4 more of the HTPLA filament using the gift card but am yet to receive them this was in Nov 5. I emailed them 1 response we are back ordered. Ok fine account says unfulfilled. After another week I emailed them no response but account status changed from Unfulfilled to fulfilled but no shipping info. I since been emailing them no response from them. Been sending an email every day so far no response. I am going to keep on emailing them until I get a response ( probably Wont) But I am going to do it anyway. I today canceled my monthly subscription. I will not be doing business with them ever again. Also am going to write a lengthy complaint to the BBB.! Warning do not order from this company you have been warned.
I tried the PETG my friends told me to try and it was good. Much better than PLA for most stuff. All of my PLA was from MakerGeeks, so I decided to try their PETG. It was so much better than the other stuff. Less stringy and easy to work with. It was beautiful from the first print. I can't seem to upload pictures here (i tried, not working...$(...). UploadHelper is not a function), but you can see a few of my Glow in the Dark PETG prints at http://www.thingiverse.com/make:*******, http://www.thingiverse.com/make:*******, http://www.thingiverse.com/make:*******, and http://www.thingiverse.com/make:*******. It doesn't actually look like glow in the dark plastic. More like natural plastic. The Smoke and HD Black is nice too, but I am loving the look of the glow in the dark even thought I can care less about the glow. I have 4 spools of Crystal PETG on the way. I'll review again after I have a chance to try them.
All this company does is steal your money and deliver you nothing. Over month old orders have yet to be fulfilled. Customer service is non existent and makes promises to ship but never does. AVOID!
Answer: Even though BBB is another useless scam, Sally D here is correct. MakerGeeks is a cleverly operated niche scam business that targets customers who do not have time to dispute a $400-$900 charge. They randomly fulfill orders with generic filament, never fulfill larger orders, and seem to employ a few people to run the website, some blogs, and produce fake reviews, like 50% of reviews in this thread. You can help shut them down by complaining to FTC, local MO authorities (assuming that they are in MO) and to domainabuse-AT-tucows.com where their domain name is registered.
