Had a yahoo account forever now I can't get in because it will send be a pass key or text my phone. I am on a computer at work without a phone and don't have access. It is time to get rid of account and go gmail.
My first email was Hotmail now Outlook and then Yahoo. Yahoo still has problems with spam and gmail does not as much. I think people don't unsubscribe; just mark it as spam. I got back in to one of my hacked accounts. I don't want scammers to scam my friends. I use a Password Manger and had no problems. The problem is when you create a password you can remember the scammers can get into that account. And, any other account you use with the same password.
Yahoo mail has changed a lot by time with so many positive changes.
And I being the user of Yahoo is a long journey to share here and I felt that many things are quite good from email settings to email reading.
But one thing that I don't like is the advertisements placement on top of our email inbox. Many times while opening the top most email, the advertisement gets clicked and sometimes it annoying, as it distracts while reading an email.
FYI theirs a lot of space in yahoo site where the ads can be put or visible to users. And it also questions the safety and security of a user who's part of yahoo mail.
I receive time sensitive email several times a day at Yahoo Mail. Some of my time sensitive emails are either delivered hours late to my inbox, or are never delivered at all. Yes, I do check my SPAM box but those emails are not there. It has gotten so bad that I had to use another email provider to receive these emails. And YAHOO wants me to pay them for an ad-free subscription. FORGET IT! Get yourself another email provider. I would also give Yahoo Mail zero stars if that was possible.
Suddenly I can't enter a new email address without allowing Yahoo to access my contacts. I literally now cannot send new emails! Time to delete this old account. Loathing you Yahoo...
I've been with Yahoo since their very early days (when it was called rocketmail). Recently I seemed to have a problem with some emails disappearing. After logging the issue online and receiving no response in 24 hours, I proceeded to call Yahoo. Having spoken to 3 people and a manager, all I can say is that all my calls were a sales pitch from beginning to end. When you say you don't want to pay £100, they simply hang up on you. Even the manager! It's as simple as that. No alternatives, no ways at fixing things, they just hang up on you. When I asked how to make a complaint, the manager told me to go to my police station. I've never, ever had such poor service from such a large company.
Yahoo Mail make estate agents and used car salesmen look like angels.
STAY AWAY, YOU'VE BEEN WARNED.
I use to like Yahoo mail and use them all the time. But at this time, Yahoo mail is horrible. If I engage in multiple email conversations with someone, it stacks the emails on top of each other and even has duplicate emails under view original message. And it is hard to find attachments. Yahoo mail has now forced me to use GMAIL. Shame on you Yahoo.
I don't have my phone or phone number that my email account was tied to, so I can no longer access it. EVER... AGAIN... I didn't have an alternate email either, and when it it ask for the old phone #, I give it the correct one but it says it's wrong. FML.
Un-fu------ck yourself yahoo. I'm going to be switching to google since you're such trash.
Y'all $#*!ing suck. I can't log into my mail on my phone computer or iPad because it doesn't load. I've been using yahoo mail since I was 10 I'm 20 and I'm officially done. Y'all suck $#*!, and if I could give 0 stars I would.
I have never used anything other than Yahoo for my email. It logged me out and I no longer had access to the backup email for verification. I had to pay $16 for them to let me back into my account. I think it is completely ridiculous that I had to pay in order to talk to a support agent. I will be transferring all of my accounts elsewhere outside of yahoo very soon.
I been having Yahoo for a long time, But the problem is, Twice ive been through difficulty with yahoo account, My Pass word that i know and wrote down for my records, Seems to not take to Yahoo anymore!. Somethings really wrong with Yahoo!, I will no longer be dealing with Yahoo anymore! They Suck!... wasting my time. They are Sneaky!
We have had a Yahoo mail account since it was first offered & have stayed through all the problems, hacks, down time, & periods of yahoo being un-contactable. It has been a paid account for many years. The new mail interface which has been forced upon Yahoo customers is the final insult. It is childish in appearance & barely customizable so that the user is forced to grit their teeth to use it without being able to get it to look & function as they'd wish. What they are thinking is a mystery, & it appears there are no persons of intuitive understanding at the helm directing the changes. It will be difficult for long term customers to change to another service but there is little choice left & It seems hundreds of thousands of users will do the same. Looking at this objectively one suspects the new owners are manipulating the service to achieve failure & then shut it down as a commercial loss.
Ever since Yahoo started offering this new paid spam blocking service I've seen a huge increase in the amount of spam going into my inbox. Prior to this new service I rarely saw any spam squeak through to my inbox. I believe this is done on purpose; I believe they saw an opportunity to make money and decided to frustrate their users to a point they would provide Yahoo with a new source of income. I can't imagine how much money they could make from each user giving $5/month but it must be quite a nice source of income and they couldn't ask their users to purchase a product that was unnecessary (because the spam was already being blocked). I don't believe this is just a coincidence but is done on purpose and it is an unethical business practice in my eyes.
I've had my email account for yearssss, I get a new phone and number and now I can't log on to anything because I have to "approve" the sign in and my old phone number is the only thing on file. Now I have to call in and PAY for someone to assist me and their only other way to verify that I am the actual account holder is to name what folders I have created on the email?! Like seriously? I have had this account since I was 16... I'm 37 now! How the hell am I supposed to tell you what files I've created. Plus this isn't an email I send stuff from or expect important emails from... the screen name screams adolescent creation! Then on top of it they tell me that there's been recent activity on it! HOW? I'm locked out remember! Yahoo has terrible customer service and they can't even protect their accounts obviously... they are seriously the worst! Get a Google account... never had issues with them like this.
After having to spend $4.99 to have my account unlocked Yahoo then starts charging me $4.99 every month for access. Then they refuse to refund my fees. They told me I would be charged a one time fee then say "Oh its in your disclosure, this is a recurring fee"

Incredibly poor cust tech support!
Our business depends on Yahoo mail and Web hosting.
The past 3 days our email has been down on employee outlook and iPhone / iPads. We have waited on hold for literally hours without an answer! Cant imagine how Yahoo stays in business. We are makiing arrangements with GoDaddy to switch over. Very disappointed!
Absolute rubbish. Since the 'latest' mash up was forced on me, I can barely write anything, look at my mail, or add photos. Everytime I move the mouse to do something the Yahoo page, keeps going on and off and on and off, it then jumps to another file or exits and goes into sent or draft section.
I can't cancel a photo if i decide not to send that particular one. The list of problems is endless, and the page colours are too dark or vivid white.
I have hardly any control over it! It is worse than rubbish and I do not want to go back to Classic Mail, I want the previous set up.
Some arrogant or abjectly stupid person or persons is responsible for the plie of junk that is now Yahoo Mail. CHANGE IT.
Had to pay 12.99 to get access to my account. Extremely rude costumer service as well. They make you pay some kind of subscription, which I canceled, in order to change your password. The guy on the phone tried to keep me on as long as he could (because there is a surcharge for the call as well) but once we finalized everything and I asked him to walk me through how to cancel that subscription of 12.99 he refused and told me read the email and hung up. Hopefully karma will take care of them. Another evil company that lurks among us.
The gimmick used by yahoo by locking accounts and making customers p[ay to reopened their account which operated in Countries outside us. They are paying them not even $12.9 per day but they want us to pay $12.99 to reopen a legitimate account. Yahoo why you are taking Jobs outside country and paying slavery wages to the poor people. The owners are True terrorist, Terrorizing us by taking jobs to other country and setting up such gimmick.
I have used yahoo for both mail and calendar for years. Over the weekend i did as suggested and changed my password. Since then, my mail will open with the new password, but NOTHING opens my calendar! It has wasted literally hours of my time trying to access my calendar. Whatever you do, avoid yahoo like the plague!

Answer: You can get the old version back by clicking on the "SWITCH TO BASIC MAIL WITH FEWER FEATURES" below the YAHOO POP-UP AD BOX. UNFORTUNATELY THIS YAHOO AD BOX CONTINUES TO POP-UP whenever I TRY TO OPEN AN EMAIL. I can find no way to delete this MOST ANNOYING YAHOO AD BOX. YAHOO HELP IS NO HELP as they IGNORE my requests.
