Not what they used to be

They deleted an email account of mine that I use all the time which has info and stuff going back about 10 years for no reason, couldn't even give me an answer as to why. They also will not stop with stupid pop ups and won't leave me alone about add blocker. Absolute garbage anymore, would not recommend to anyone for anything.

Yahoo really wants me to upgrade to their Mail+ service. Unfortunately, I don't think allowing junk through that used to be flagged and filtered is the correct sales approach. I have no problem deleting irrelevant or unsolicited emails rather than pay a fee for what used to be free. Instead of trying to increase revenue, maybe Yahoo Mail could decrease costs by removing the spam button altogether. It no longer serves a purpose on the dash. I use other email services for different parts of my life (work, gaming, etc) - I don't have near the junk showing up in those inboxes that I NOW have showing up in my 20 year old Yahoo address.

Been a yahoo user for years and now, leaving. There is no need for them to keep asking me to input a phone number or mobile as there is security questions. They just want my details so they p%ss off. Battle after battle with being locked out. Now they have introduced another click page to get into my account which is just a waste of time. Their news pages and opinion feeds are censored so clearly free speech is not tolerated. For pittys sake Yahoo, call it a day

I rarely bother writing reviews, but I'm so furious. Never, ever, use yahoo, EVER. My mom is older and doesn't have a cell phone. Her account was hacked and she can't get back in or talk to a human being. Because she can't get texts, she can't get in. It's impossible to talk to a human being on Yahoo if you really need help--the numbers are scams. She's switching to gmail. My entire family is deleting their yahoo accounts. Do the same. Horrible company with no care about customers at all. Yahoo Pro is also such a scam--I wouldn't be surprised if Yahoo intentionally messed up her email just to make the money from this. Worthless piles of you-know-what.

I hardly ever send reviews but this new Yahoo Mail sucks! The inbox is so confusing and I can't understand who sent me the email and when because everything is all jumbled together. I try to reply to the sender but I don't know where the reply button is anymore. There are absolutely too many ads, what's the purpose of any ads? I now know it's because of yahoo that I am getting so many spam callers and viruses on my phone!
The new look? What new look? Yahoo this is the worst and I hope your team is reviewing all the reviews because I have not come across any positive ones yet! -0 (below Negative rating at this time)!

Lost my account because somebody broke into it, changed my recovery emails. I've had that account for years, all yahoo did was send me to "help" articles which didn't do didly $#*!, if I want to actually TALK to somebody I gotta fork out cash to have the privilege to do so. $#*! this company. Never using them again.

Awful!

Since they have revamped Yahoo mail, I have to delete emails 3 or more times to finally get it to put those emails in the trash. I've contacted the support team 4 or 5 times to complain about these issues yet receive no reply and getting stuck with the same issues! I hate this service!

Just horrible

I've never seen so many useless ads in my life and right in the middle of all my emails WTF? Hate the lay out and wish they would go back to Older version. Have had my address to long orchid switch. Also not enough space to Block all spam mail that gets through despite filters

My account was 8 years old and had my personal and very important emails with my poems and many other important things. They deleted all of my emails from everywhere: Inbox, Sent items, Trash, without any notification or reason justified. Now when i am trying to contact their support center to help me with the issue and try and return my mails, nobody is responding.

If this is the way such a big email account group work, i would never suggest anyone to use Yahoo Mail account for their personal / professional work.

Also, in my effort to get my mails back, i read around 100s of reviews, where people complained that their email also had got lost from their yahoo account without any notification.

If anyone from Yahoo team is reading this, please try to mitigate this issue

Locks my phone up so bad I have to restart it freezes up constantly it's slow its buggy user interface is a joke it's the most amateur site I've ever seen a third grader could have designed a better app

I am angry. I have noticed that all of the emails in my inbox received before 10 Aug 2019 have disappeared. This action was not taken by myself. Some of these emails contain important documents that I need. I tried to call the UK yahoo help centre, the lady answered the call was rude too. Can Yahoo restore my emails?
In addition to this, Yahoo email has a very bad junk filter.

I do not understand a company that repeatedly destroys its own product to the point that it just doesn't work any more. It is soooooo aggravating to want to check your emails and the service simply refuses to load. I am dumping my email account I've had for 25 years now because I just can't stand the amount of frustration that goes into just wanting to check items in my inbox. Sad.

Like everyone else, my life is hectic, and backing up important email messages was on my list of things to do. I found Gmail to be far more usable than yahoo and switched to using it as my primary account several years ago. I would occasionally log in to yahoo to make sure it was still active. When I logged in tonight EVERY SINGLE ONE of my emails was gone even though my account was still active. I lost ALL of the emails from when I first met my husband which was devastating. I find it adding insult to injury that you have to pay $4.99 to speak to a human. Their program was terrible to use, but I can't believe their lack of morality. Hope they go down in flames.

If you have an Upgrade VISA Card, suggest you cancel or give it up. I have been calling these people to get some HELP. They will let you wait endlessly. I get a feeling the number they have *******909 is unmanned and it's just there for compliance reasons. I will not even give these people a half star for services.

I used to really enjoy reading Yahoo's news site. It was one of those places that I could find some interesting articles, and they send me down a rabbit trail of a couple of hours of reading!;-) Recently though, it seems like every headline that looks interesting ends up being a video. I don't want to watch a video! I want to read! Often I don't have sound handy at a school computer terminal, or I don't want to let my workmates know that I found an interesting news piece. Please bring back more articles, and I will spend more time reading them.

Unusable completely

I have been with yahoo email for more than 20 years.

Now this service is completely unusable.

Page loading takes forever. I had to refresh 6-7 times to finally move from Inbox to Sent folder.

This is completely useless.

Fraud
July 9, 2019

Yahoo mail is a fraud. Yahoo is closing consumers mail accounts and then trying to make them pay for a service in order to get back in and retrieve their mail. I am a victim of this tactic. Although I didn't pay Yahoo anything. I now cannot get into my mailbox and retrieve my important messages that are being sent to me.

Yahoo Mail is literally dying. It is damn slow to load pages. Sign is so difficult, you need atleast 5 mins just to Sign in on page. Most of the times the Sent items list is not shown. If you write an email there is no option to change the font. Yahoo mail was good earlier but now it is at its worst stage. I will never recommend anyone to make an account in Yahoo.

How do I go back to old yahoo mail as new one is poor. It is very slow frustratingly so. You now cannot search each mail box for a particular email but much search the whole lot. The slowness means if you click on one email after say deleting a previous one one often finds you do not bring up the one you want. I almost feel like joining gmail after being with yahoo for MANY yrars
