The gimmick used by yahoo by locking accounts and making customers p[ay to reopened their account which operated in Countries outside us. They are paying them not even $12.9 per day but they want us to pay $12.99 to reopen a legitimate account. Yahoo why you are taking Jobs outside country and paying slavery wages to the poor people. The owners are True terrorist, Terrorizing us by taking jobs to other country and setting up such gimmick.
I haven't used my Yahoo mail account in several years, but had the username and my last known password. Didn't work. Have no access to backup emails or old phone. So I call customer service and they send me a link to something (Intellilink?) that will scan my driver's license, but I can't get my phone to scan. The girl smugly says she can't do anything and hangs up. I call again and they send me the link again. Phone still won't allow the scan, and smug cow tells me she's hanging up. Argue with phone until it will accept the scan link and call again. Nightmarish hag tells me they won't send the link again because my phone number is no longer recognized and tells me to borrow someone else's phone. The site is a scam, and I suspect they use the same call centers that call you and claim they're from Microsoft or the IRS. Worthless all around. Agents are rude, dismissive and only want money. So now I have no access to my account, and the Yahoo page is little more than left wing propoganda disguised as 'news'. Bugger Yahoo. It sucks. Don't waste your time with them.
I get a bogus caption on my page stating no internet access, which is an obvious lie! If that were the case, I wouldn't be actively online. I couldn't send an important email. The chat popped up & I explained what happened, "sorry we won't be able to help you, you have to subscribe to our paid service." We are still in a Pandemic & companies are nickel & diming people for extra cash. Shame on them!

I dont leave reviews. Ever. But here I am!
I called into Yahoo because my account was actively being hacked into, I. E. changing my contact info, accessing my bank info, credit cards, etc. I couldn't even speak with a representative about it without paying for Yahoo plus. Which I did. I was not told that this would be a monthly charge. But to my surprise, I was charged again the following month. When I called to cancel, I had a representative offering me the service for a month free and anything else but cancelling my order! He finally did, but refused to issue a refund for the month of service I did not request. Horrible Customer Care. I have had my yahoo email for almost 20 years, but will never use a yahoo email again. SMDH
The company is slowing scams in order to ask people to sign in the "premium yahoo". I had many scams and the computer does not let me to mark them as scam. I called yahoo for help and they wanted me to sign. In to be able to deactivate the account or report the scams.
I forgot my password, In the past yahoo would have txt me a code which i will use to change password. However, this time around when i contacted number, they will say we are not able to help, ask all these questions to make you believe they are helping, Furthermore, after they talk to you, they hit you with a premium app which will be taken from credit card every month. My question is, we are living hard times for yahoo to do this to consumers is unacceptable. For yahoo to use this for their own convenience is unacceptable. O thou their money hungry attitude leaves a bad taste in my mouth. It creates depression and mental anguish, I currently lost all my content on my email which im not able to retrieved yahoo actions has created depression due to all my information lost. Being a 62 year old women who is income limited isn't the way i expected to be treated. How yahoo treat consumer is shameful. Yahoo

I've tried for a week to get into my accounts. You are a nightmare. I've had one acct over 20 years. Never again, absolutely maddening.
I've had a yahoo account for a while and all of a sudden it won't let me log in because I do not have my old phone number to verify that it's me. It won't even let me try to type in my password. Well I gave the place a call to try to recover it, and now all of a sudden they want me to subscribe for 12 bucks a month and won't let me recover it unless I pay! Wtf worse company EVER. I hope yahoo sinks for this!
We have had the same email address for over 25 years. It's an old AT&T domain that ends in: pacbell.net, an offering from our former employer - Pacific Bell, a subsidiary of AT&T. Over the last 25 years, this AT&T domain has been repeatedly sold, bought and traded. Each time, it has declined in quality and changed it's names from AT&T.net to PacBell.net to Yahoo, to Yahoo Mail, Currently (from AT&T) / Yahoo Mail, and lastly, Oath Inc. Years ago (we're talking late 90's) there was actually a 10-digit help line number you could call and someone would assist you. Now, there is no help to be found, just scam marketing, smoke, mirrors and a whole lot of junk news. Even with the new Yahoo Mail Plus! Offering (which we've tried) that starts at $5 per month and can run upwards of $60 per month (for the suckers who feel that more money gets you more service), the value compared to cost is nearly non-existent. Their promised "24 Hour Tech Support" is no where to be found on their main page, but purposefully buried under layers and layers of web pages and, when called, is of absolutely no use. The promise of "Fewer Adds On Yahoo" claim is false (they're still plenty there) and the "Enhanced Security, Spam and Domain Blocking" does not work any better then the free service, which is to say, it doesn't work at all. The only reason we don't dump this email provider is the shear volume of entities that would have to be notified for an email address change. And that, I suppose, is what they know all too well.
So i created account and verified it and sned an email verification from an app i had to wait 5 days till they sent it
Some mofo rainbow trash came out of nowhere, and got in my face on Y! A years ago started attacking me and my friends, so I put the piece of excrement in place. Next thing I know, Y! Deleted my email that I had for close to 20 years. No warning. I had private files, one-of-a-kind childhood photos saved, emails exchanged with VIPs, all was gone in a blink. And you libtrash want a cashless society? Wait until they do that with your savings balance! Yahoo is utter trash! Close your accounts and move them while you still can! This was 2 free email accounts, btw.
Spam filters do not work on yahoo email account! I can't even block unwanted emails anymore. Yahoo wants me to "upgrade" my email account for $1.99 a month. Bye bye yahoo.
What's the use of a mail app/website that can't even receive an email. I am waiting for my facebook confirmation email and I waited for 10 minutes. I kept refreshing my mail, and surprise! Nothing. Thank you, Yahoo. Just shut it down, please. You're old. Rest.
Shame on you Yahoo for deleting years of your users' emails without any warning!
Also your UX makes me think I traveled back in time to 2002.
Happily deleting the account never to return again.
All these videos of taking a few courses and getting a job in tech must be true. I have been on the phone for 29 minutes and counting and this agent is completely not qualified. He has asked me the same 3 questions 10 times in 4 different ways as if he's buying time. I can't even believe the conversation... I wish I could play it back to someone. My patience started out more than accomodating and after 15 minutes I couldn't anymore. I am always nice to customer service people regardless but this time around I started questioning whether I was actually speaking to Yahoo or whether it was a scam or maybe I was even being "Punked."
In the end, he didn't resolve anything. I am still missing my inbox and Yahoo has a solid track record of being the easiest service for people to hack. Yahoo customer service is the WORST. This person was the epitome of an underqualified person they hired out of being desperate during the great resignation.
My account was hacked and taken from me. I called their support and notified them of this issue. They did not care my account was hacked and because I do not have my old phone number when the account was made there is no way for me the owner of the account to recover it. There is also no way for YAHOO to going through their OWN system to help you recover your account. Furthermore they will continue to tell you that they are a premium support service and charge for their service even though they are not helping you. They will also direct you to their support website which will bare no fruit and take you to a dead-end of functions and mechanics that do not work. Like others ZERO stars but no option for it. Yahoo needs to be shout down.
I bought an Emirates vacation package from groupon and it was a total scam. I have lost 5000 dollars on this vacation package. Emirates would not give me the information I needed to complete the e-visa I needed to get into Kenya. They only informed me of an e-visa a week and a half before I was to leave and this was not enough time to get the e-visa before I left. Groupon will not help at all to get my money back.
I have had a Yahoo account for over 10 years now and recently my account was disabled and I cannot sign into it whatsoever. I am very disappointed. I will never use Yahoo mail ever again. I tried getting help from Yahoo customer service and yet they ignored me for days and did not reply to any of my messages. What kind of website makes you pay for you to call for help then tell you they can do nothing about it? Never again. I would give this a 0 rating if I could.
Certainly not worth 1 star. System continues locking me out when I'm sure all is well AMY at the premier rate recovery team is beyond useless. Second worst employee after her manager who had obviously been promoted way way beyond his abilities.
Spam filter takes out what are obviously legit emails. Have implement filter to get round this, but Yahoo changes settings without notifying.
No auto forward - surely this is a standard for a POP mailbox.
Keeps hiding function and features and offers very little help (could not find a Help link on my last visit to the site to discover why I seemed to have missing emails.
Marks out of 10 Functionality 4, useability 6, support 0... I can't be bothered to carry on. I will spend my time switching to another instead (have thought of doing this many times especailly hafter the system was hacked and they never told us (or NZ Telecomms who were rebadging the service) some years ago.
Answer: You can get the old version back by clicking on the "SWITCH TO BASIC MAIL WITH FEWER FEATURES" below the YAHOO POP-UP AD BOX. UNFORTUNATELY THIS YAHOO AD BOX CONTINUES TO POP-UP whenever I TRY TO OPEN AN EMAIL. I can find no way to delete this MOST ANNOYING YAHOO AD BOX. YAHOO HELP IS NO HELP as they IGNORE my requests.
