Their system used to work well however their new system is quite poor. They have gone from an efficient system that worked to one that is buggy and continually shows pops ups asking if you'd like to accept their advertising - it never goes away and you can't click no. I suspect this is an illegal practice in Europe. Sending emails to help support is time wasted as nothing ever comes back. Avoid.

I have tried to get help for days now. I have been told to delete drafts, wait 2 hours. Then told to not send an email and wait 12-24 hours. No one can tell me the reason for my issues NOR can they tell me how to fix. Worst of all the english is awful to understand. Just absolutely horrible service. The 4.99 i paid was supposed to give 24/7 tech support, however when I called yesterday they said they could only put me thru to someone on monday! What a sham!

Constant sign in
June 26, 2023

I have to reset my password virtually every time I log in. Yahoo/ATT has acknowledged this as a "known" problem, but that has been the case now for over a year! Incredibly poor service.

1. How many times do I have to tell them that I want basic mail and not their new advertisement setup? Every time I click an email, there it is! I can't read the email until I answer the stupid question again.

2. I will NEVER give Yahoo! Permission to read my emails! What an obnoxious and creepy recurring request!

3. Could the political bias in the news stories I have to look at to see my emails be any more obvious? How many people are they trying to alienate?

4. It is time for me to get a new email service. Yahoo! Failed in the end. It was a great service for a long time, but it is terrible now. I seriously question whether they are trying to go out of business.

This company's webmail is still considered the largest per amount of accounts worldwide. They've been around for years, 15 years, now. Though the company has been under the business media's scope for months, this e-mail application is very well tested and has ease of use with neat practicalities.

The free accounts allow many folks to have multiple accounts, as needed. They do have some degree of spam filtering, and one can further set-up greater filtering, if chosen. Also, they have an ID authentication, and one can sign-on from Facebook and Google. Also, they have a classic version of the webmail for individuals that prefer the old-school style, especially the dinosaurs with accounts over 10 years. The present version is about a year old – I've used their webmail service for years.

I've been using Yahoo mail for free for years. Decades. But since the inception of Yahoo+, they have been pulling back features and pushing users to start paying for the extra benefits of the Plus service even though most of those features were previously in their free service. And just to make sure that you are suitably enticed...in one day my SPAM folder went from 10-15 emails a day to over 80-100. Something happened. I contacted Yahoo and they dismissed it as the nature of the beast. BUT, if I switched to Yahoo+... Yeah, you know how it went from there. So, no thanks Yahoo. And now I'm out to find a better solution.

TERRIBLE SERVICE
November 22, 2022

Long story short, I was trying to gain access to a childhood account because it was how I would recover so much nostalgic memories from old social media accounts. The man said the account isn't accessible and hung up. No explanation or anything.

This site has been around a very long time and have to say it went from mediocre and unchanged but ran quite well... to... worse! What a shame. This is a staple name in the internet but cannot justify really using them as a start-up email. Unfortunately I have had them for about fifteen years and am too integrated. If I could, I most certainly would... change email providers.

Yahoo! Used to have customer service and quality until it sold out sometime after 2009 to me. Now, the mail is terrible if you want security from hackers and spies. Also, it benefits the rich people who can afford a nice phone instead of the poor people when registering for an account. Another greedy business that is the opposite of compassionate. The customer support desk is nonexistent, so it is unreliable. After what I said, you might realize this is not an email provider that cares about you enough that it will not protect you from hackers and it requires you to waste phone money. This is a scam, not user friendly service.

Hate the new yahoo mail
February 25, 2019

Yahoo's new format just sucks. We have had Yahoo mail for 20 years for are business. Most of which we been happy with. New yahoo mail just does not function well. We get a lot of mail. Only shows about 25 a page. When you do a search for your mail it no longer has tabs to go back to. This we use all the time and no longer there Print Icon so small and is squeezed in with raw format. Print outs are tiny. Just to much bad to spend my time. I want the old format back.

Yahoo was one of the best Free Email service offered. In the last few weeks became a night mare to use unless you pay. We thought the advertisement will be enough for them. I recommend to go to any of microsoft emails.

My family has been using Yahoo Mail for many years and it has turned into the most non-user friendly web based email application out there. I'm beyond done with it! Yahoo is successfully striving to go backwards. How does one make sense of the email in my Inbox using this email platform? The format changed years ago and is absolutely useless and beyond frustrating. How about a normal chronology of my email string? Fire all of your developers and start over. Good luck.

Very dissapointed
October 19, 2021

I have had a Yahoo account for over 10 years now and recently my account was disabled and I cannot sign into it whatsoever. I am very disappointed. I will never use Yahoo mail ever again. I tried getting help from Yahoo customer service and yet they ignored me for days and did not reply to any of my messages. What kind of website makes you pay for you to call for help then tell you they can do nothing about it? Never again. I would give this a 0 rating if I could.

It's chronically and painfully slow to respond and takes forever (if ever sometimes) to download attached Documents, no matter how big. Adverts all over the place as well. Fed up with it and on the verge of taking the trouble to move soon if this continues. Shocking! PS. Writing this while waiting for a small file to download. Still waiting...

I use the new Yahoo Mail but
1. Cannot move emails from Inbox or Sent to folders.
2. Attachments don't get attached.

3. returned to Classic Yahoo, which is an disaster and nothing like the Yahoo we used for years without many problems and this has the same problems.

Unfortunately, the business is set up with Yahoo and not being able to send attachments or file emails are serious failings.

The things that's driving absolutely bats is that when I've replied to an email, that email now stays open until I manually close it. It used to be that -- logically -- after you replied to an email, the original email automatically closed. Now you have to manually shut them, a huge and maddening waste of time. And at some point I saw a statement from Yahoo actually saying, in effect, don't complain about this because we're not changing it.

That was several years ago and nothing has changed. I only stay with them because of the horror of having to switch to a new system and either lose or move all the previous emails.

Shocking that after 4 months of being locked out of my own account, losing out on all events that I had booked online - still can't access my account.
Everything you do ends full circle with you back at the start of yahoo asking for details of old emails addresses / passwords and no way to update them, a telephone service would be so much easier!
Can't believe a service could be so terrible, obviously I will probably not be able to send this review as it will need details once again of an email address that I'm locked out of - so would look forward to your reply but once again I will never be about to access it - very angry about this and wish the service was as good as it was 12 years ago when you could phone someone when their website was crap

Without question a seriously poor organization and product. Their bias in their news coverage is a nothing short of a disgrace. Topics are slanted so far to the left it really should be based in Moscow.
