I clicked on a ride that aside one price but when I reviewed it, it charged me almost double! Contacting left does nothing. They will not reimburse. Poor costumer service. My advice is screen shot each ride at purchase price as proof and go to your bank because Lyft company are scum.
Bad service amd to those who do flex drive (rent the car to them) they change the policy with out the driver agreeing to them amd also the schedule a 3 hour trip and expect the driver to use there barely 400 personal miles to get back home so basically 167 mile will get deducted from the 400 personal miles and if the driver dares to exceed the 400 Miles even by 1 mile the have the audacity to charge them 300 extra.
Which is stupid cause the drivers barely make 200 extra after paying the rental.
( it's like work for me you slave you signed an agreement but Lyft doesn't Care they will do what ever they want.)
Used Uber one time in St. Louis. We didnt check statements closely for several months, but eventually noticed recurring charges for Lyft services over 6 month period even though we havent used them since the St. Louis trip. (We reside near Chicago). Evidently there was hacking or driver stole info. Dont even think about getting help from either company on these issues. Thank goodness our bank had our back. Had to cancel card and get new account. CC theft complaints seem common for both companies. Drivers are allowed to drive for both companies at the same time. Nice setup for them, especially if they want to use your info.
Using this app 2 weeks and have had some lovely drivers, tonight We booked a lift with Jose reg number IR17MC white Toyota Sienna.
When it got to arriving in 1 minute he cancelled lift, then arrived and collected another family for more money leaving myself and young children stranded. Knowing there is no consequence for this behaviour. If we cancel we get charged 5 dollars. He should be fined for this sort of conduct! Disgraceful
I had ride with Lyft. Estimated price was $26.70 but they charged me $34 I submeted complains many times and didn't receive any replay. Terrible service, cheating customers. I'll never more use this company.
LYFT is very stupid! They say one thing and do another! Their application system always crashes and then they try to assure you that everything works fine! They don't really have a handle on what they are doing. For example, their stupid so called "mentors" are stingy, judgmental and not friendly. They tell you: "they have enough qualified drivers", but yet they harass you, by texting and emailing you; asking you to join their team (because they don't know what the hell they are doing!). Total contradiction. They are a very very stupid ride sharing company. I hate that their stupid pink mustache. They are not in touch with their drivers or customers, as far as I am concerned!
Got into a Lyft tonight and the driver admitted he was drinking all night and we were the last ride of the night. We immediately made him stop the car and reported him. Lyft did absolutely nothing and just apologized for the bad ride. This is disgusting. We tried doing the right thing by not drinking and driving yet got into a car with a drunk man. Good job Lyft.
I requested a 1 way ride from the airport which is about 15 minutes away. They charged me107.0012.00 for priority pick up which I didn't request and 57.00 for prime time plus 267%. Complete BS. I disputed it but they made me pay anyway. Willl never ever use them again!
I hired my mom a lyft and paid for her to be drove to the store and drove back by the same driver. When she come out side from the store to leave the driver was gone. He would not return and she had to pay and hire a second Lyft driver to bring her back home a ride that should have cost $8 round trip ended up costing $32 and we can't get customer service on the phone at all horrible company horrible customer service stick with Uber
My mother lives in a 10-story high rise in Dayton, OH. For eight months, I have called Lyft once a week to take her to and from her weekly hair appt,@ $7.80 each way. Now, suddenly Lyft is gouging the little guy and increasing the return price and adding hidden surcharges, ex: they added a $4.68 priority pickup fee? Which I never asked for. You get to your destination but then can't get home for the same price. $24.99 for a 1 mile trip? Shame on you. You had a good thing but got greedy! No one can afford that, so way to go! You've greeded your drivers right out of work. Way to take advantage! Sick
Tried to use once and connection kept failing so we Ubered. Weeks later got fraudulent charges from 2,000 miles away from my home. Fortunately my credit card company charged it back even after Lyft DISPUTED it. Apparently fraudulent charges are common on this insecure app as is also supported in the many of the negative reviews here. I have not been able to log back into my account to try again and emails to their support group are not answered.
I gave 150 rides in 30 days for Lyft, which should entitle me to receive a $400 bonus. Problem is that they are saying that I need a promo code from when I first signed up on Lyft, which I don't have. I never knew of any promo codes, and I also wrote an email within days of my hire asking what promotions I would be available for. They are denying me my bonus based on a BS technicality, plain and simple. Plus, it is hard to find riders altogether, regardless of time or day. My last week I logged 33 hours and made $375.52. In other words, I made just over $10 an hour plus tips (which aren't much) MINUS expenses. Not worth it...
Has anyone else run into this issue? I usually pay for my mother's transportation so I was charged for a ride that actually took place, from her usual destination A to B, the only problem is, my mother never ordered or took the ride. After years of being in good standing w/ the company (as a rider), they wouldn't even investigate the issue. Instead, they're charging me for the ride & stopped responding to me. What a way to treat your loyal & regular customers.
Also, my mother would constantly receive emails that she didn't wear a mask. Her job requires her to wear one at all time. Each time I have to tell Lyft to please remove this false issue. At least they did that for her. Makes me wonder if there's a glitch in their system or what?
Lyft has a system that gets rid of most female drivers in the first 6 months. At times Lyft has no email or phone line to help drivers or passages. All Lyft does is copy Uber, good and bad. Women need a safe rideshare to drive and ride. We need drivers and passengers to have clean background reports.
I drove for Lyft and was very uneasy about picking groups of drunk men. I was harassed many times and at the time Lyft was changing its support email and none was available for months.
If you are going to drive make sure you get the maximum Driving bonus. Contact me directly and I will help you get one to three hundred dollars extra. My Gmail account is my full name.

I have been trying over a week to get a account set up to drive for this company! No support at all same old bull$#*! automated responses and now they deactivated me! I still don't know what I could've done to fix my application. Absolutely pathetic!
Drivers are idiots who leave when I'm standing there waiting and then charged me a no show fee! When called again, and they were 3 min away, they canceled my ride. FU Lyft. You're useless and I'll only use Uber from now on.
Never a problem.
Update: Like magic, 10 minutes after I left this review and contacted Lyft legal, I got a call from the driver. So I changed this from one star to three stars out of fairness.
My son left his Airpods case in a Lyft in NYC. We immediately contacted Lyft customer service who confirmed that the driver found the Airpods case in the backseat where my son was sitting. However, the driver never responded to my attempt to coordinate recovery even though I was willing to pay the required $15 service charge. I then contacted Lyft customer service and they basically said too bad. Not their problem. Apparently, Lyft is ok hiring thieves as drivers. Beware.
Will never be using Lyft again. Had a driver accuse my friend and I of damage that we did not do. He was rude to us the whole way as well. Lyft customer service was of no help and my friend and I were forced to pay an extra $80 on top of our ride fee. Safe to say I will be using Uber from now on.
I have read some of Lyft reviews I to have had to wait for them to pick me up, but they go to the wrong place. They call me and ask me where I am, I tell I'm at the address I gave you. This happened three times... Another thing to, some of the male drivers smell like Pot. I know it's legal now, but it's putting passengers in danger. And some are very rude. Lyft should have a back round check. I hopefully will not need Lyft again.
I am a Lyft driver and I constantly get harasssed by Lyft representatives. After I lodged complaints, I started getting adverse reactions from Lyft. They abused their powers to trick me into such a situation where I cant drive for no fault of mine. Then again when I call, they keep harassing me over the phone for 30 minutes. They are so f***** up that they dont even keep the communication record in their system so that they dont get caught at a later time. They will force you to things thats technically illegal and might cost you massive amounts of monetary fine. If you dont listen to them, they will start harassing you.
Answer: They randomly out of the blue deactivated my account. This was there explanation. We found your account to be violating our Terms of Service and you will no longer be able to use the Lyft platform. I can honestly I have not violated anything so clearly there is something wrong with there information but the worst thing is they dont even tell you what the problem is. Oh well guess take my business to uber instead.
Answer: Lft runs different promotions and depending on promotion they promise a signup bonus(500-1100$). Now if they really pay the bonus it's totally up to their discretion.in my case they didn't pay. I completed the 60 Rides required in the first 30 days, which was the requirment to qualify for the bonus but they still didn't pay. After a brief email exchange with a lyft employee(they do not give their position or full name) they stopped answering. Now I am filing a complain with BBB and I will let you know where it goes when I have updates.
Answer: Lyft's customer service is terrible. If they won't correct it, file a dispute with your credit card company.
Lyft has a rating of 1.4 stars from 906 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Lyft most frequently mention customer service, credit card and phone number. Lyft ranks 32nd among Car Sharing sites.
