I booked a ride with Modi on 28 Jan from SeaTac Airport to lynnwood, I asked Modi to come pick me up where the taxi's were because I was strangling with my oversized bags and also I was not feeling too well I after being in a 21hour flight, he said that's not how the policy work which I understood, I asked him to cancel my ride since a Taxi was more convenient for me at that point which he responded with "Good luck " he then started the ride without me making it impossible for me to cancel,I later received a full charge on my account, I tried reaching lyft unsuccessfully, I was also feeling unwell hence I needed time to rest and medicate myself. Today I found your website and decided to leave a review because no one deserves that treatment and wrong charge, it makes lyft feel unsafe
Location: Burlington, Vermont (Driver: Nusret, White Jeep Cherokee)
I was in downtown Burlington after going out for drinks with friends and called a Lyft to take me back to my hotel. My mom was with me and the driver was saying extremely inappropriate things to us in the car that made us really uncomfortable. Then when we got to the intersection of our hotel his GPS said to turn right into the parking lot of our hotel, but he turned left and started driving us back to this dark, secluded area that was surrounded by woods. We kept telling him to turn around but he was trying to convince us that our hotel was back there even though we knew we already passed it and that he intentionally turned the wrong way. He wouldn't stop the car or turn around, so I called the police while we were trapped in the car with him and they sent police out right away. Once the driver realized I was on the phone with the police he panicked and turned us back around and took us back to our hotel. It was the scariest experience of my life. The next day I drove back to where he was trying to take us and there was an abandoned parking lot surrounded by woods and it totally freaked me out even more. I filed a police report and they have all of his information and are opening an investigation on him. I also reported it to Lyft and he shouldn't be able to drive for them anymore. This is just a warning to always be aware of what is going on and to never get in a Lyft by yourself! This whole experience totally traumatized me and my mom.
BEWARE OF DOING BUSINESS WITH LYFT!
April 17,2023, 12.10 a.m. at St Louis airport, I ordered an upgraded Lyft ride that was supposed to arrived in 2 minutes, according to the app, to get to my hotel quickly. The ride came 5-10 minutes late. When the driver stayed in the car without volunteering to help me to put my baggage in the trunk, I asked him to step out of the car and help me. I could see he wasn't happy about my request. Inside the car was filthy and he had a very loud music on throughout the entire ride, without asking whether I was ok with such loud music. I didn't complain since I was afraid to make him more upset. I didn't feel safe with him. The day after my ride I received a notice from Lyft that I was charged $80 damage fee since the driver had claimed I scratched his car and the fee was for him to clean up his car. Since the accusation is not at all true I reached out to Lyft customer service to dispute the charge. The only way of contacting Lyft customer service is through text message or email. I am frankly not sure whether I communicate with a robot or a human being since they keep repeating that they won't adjust the damage fee payment without directly answer my questions. I have asked to talk to a manager but no one has contacted me so far. I have reach out to them six times through text and email communications. I have asked them to share with me evidence that shows I scratched the care. They responded that their decision was based on the driver's anecdote. I feel robbed and feel powerless for they don't care. DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH LYFT.
Driver contacted me after ride and said he found a Hyundai key after my ride and asked if it belonged to me I replied yes. No response after 2 more days so I contacted corporate office to see if they could assist... Corp office supposedly reached out to driver and now the driver is claiming he no longer can find my key. Gets better, corp office contacted me 2 days after this and said driver had found my car key and then same day later contacted me and now the driver no longer can find my key AGAIN! What a JOKE. DO NOT RIDE WITH LYFT EVER! Had to pay $395 for a new key because I can not wait for their back and forth not knowing what day they will have my key and next day not. RIDICLOUS
I reserved a car by lyft in Babylon train station they sent me a text than the car coming in 16 minutes and not text what car and I text back and the answer is you can not respond of this. Then the big Fraud is a Honda Civic 2013 in white and Joel wait for me another 5. Minutes and then he left and I must pay $ 5 extra for the time. This Joel are not in front or behind the Train station! I loose my road test in Happagua and pay a extra 50$ for another car service! For me the BIGGEST $#*! COMPANY EVER. I can not recommend for NOBODY!
I went down and purchased a lift card I went online open the Lyft account put where I wanted to go chose the locks or whichever car that I wanted at the time and then they wanted a photocopy of my driver's license or they wanted the bank that I banked at and my full account number in order to get a ride with them I don't have a driver's license if I did I wouldn't need a lift to get somewhere. After that they will not give you your money back you have to do this or they keep your money. What they're stating is is it's a safety reason for their drivers. On the app you can see it there you can turn around and send a friend of yours a ride now how is that being safe. Lift is fraud do not use them Uber is the same way they will both turn around and triple quadruple charge you go on Uber go on Lyft put in the designation that you want to go to I did this it was $3.41 4 minutes after did it again and it went up to 25 and $35 they are a scam both of them both of them still have my money they will not give it back they are keeping it my accounts are not inactive they will not do anything they are keeping your money and it is apparently legal I have contacted both of them numerous times emailed at least over 30 times on both of them and I get no help whatsoever do not use these people
I had a requested ride to got to a funeral took 2 flights to get here and the bastards never came and u Chem my trip and Brian canceled or something I don't $#*!in know but thanks $#*! I missed my dad's funeral thousands of miles traveled for nothing $#*! boy $#*! I hope I get to meet Brian $#*! $#*! $#*!
Terrible app. How are you going to place a $10 hold just because I canceled a ride that was way to far and was going to take 20 mins na you guys suck!
We booked our ride in advance to take us to the airport at 3 am. The driver was supposed to pick up us between 3am to 3:15 am. The driver finally showed up around 3:30 am. When he showed up, he would not pull up to our house but sat down the road about 40 feet. We were all waving our hands at the end of our driveway so he would pull up to us. He did not move so I grabbed my luggage to walk to his car. As I walked up, he pulled ahead and drove past me plus my family. He did not stop. We did not know what he was doing so we waited to see if he was turning around. He did not come back. I watched him on the app and he continued on his route to the airport. I should mention I contacted him several times including before he arrived to our house and also after he drove by us. Given we no longer had a ride to the airport, we had to scramble to our car and get to the airport. I continued to watch the driver on the app and he went to the airport as he said he picked us up. We were then charged for our ride! I contacted Lyft and told them about the experience we had and we barely made our flight by 15 minutes. They said they would be happy to credit my fare for the Lyft ride! I could not believe it. The whole fiasco cost me an additional $120 because this driver was irresponsible and Lyft took no responsibility for it.
2 times no one picked me up and I was charged, when reported it to the company they apologized but still kept happening, I still never received my money back for one trip, their drivers were always late, once I had to go to work for 7am I called for a ride at 6am the ride never came my son had to send me an Uber who was there in 5 minutes, I will never use Lyft again they suvk
Please stay away. They have no real people to talk if you have a problem. Their online 24hr respond team is completely gabbage, they respond to email question extremely slow. Stay away.
I apple for drive and I finished all the application then I have appointment with the mentor Erika Ellsworth she let me change the tiers to let me drive after I did she denied me when I asked her why she doesn't answer me she doesn't honest and her face upset with non white peoples and any questions she saide go online I don't know I think what I saw this company racism through mentor behavior
I've been a customer for 2-3 years and in all fairness the service is great. I've only had 2 distasteful incidents. Recently I added a stop to my request which required a pick up (5 minutes) and the Lyft Driver left me and when I tried to call him I had problems with the App. I was subsequently charged for the second destination which I didn't make it to since the Lyft Driver left me at my first destination. The charge for the second trip was ($20.26). When I reached out to Customer Service they informed me that they can't go by what I'm saying, they can only go by the information given on the App as if Apps don't give misinformation and are unflawed. I went back and forth with Customer Service twice and they still refuse to issue a credit to my Account for ($20.26) Suffice to say I now have to go through my Financial Provider to hopefully resolve this situation. At the end of the day there are so many companies that operate on "Consumer Rape". Technology has only offered another opportunity for companies to take advantage of their Customer Base. Lyft is not the only company that offers this service and they are not doing their customers a favor by providing this service. I'm on the fence right now. If my Financial Provider doesn't resolve this issue for me then Lyft has lost a Customer for ($20.26). This service is obviously a good concept, but offers bad Service. Give Customers a reason to continue to use your service, you shouldn't have to lose a customer over a small disagreement. I lose ($20.26) and I will use another service, but you lose thousands of Dollars from me.
If you plan on driving for lyft be aware, I was adriver for them for over a year and all of a sudden was deactivated as a driver out of nowhere. All during the pandemic I was driving to make extra income and ly ft t comes out of the blue saying they was doing a background check on me, now as I know when they first start you as a driver they do background check on you not after working for them over a year and with a five star rating and no customer complaints at all something is not right with this and this has been going on as of late with many of the good drivers while these bad drivers with 2 and 3 star ratings are operating as drivers. Now tell me there is something wrong with this. They left a bad taste in my mouth. You can never get in contact with them when you need to. And as a driver don't ask for supplies to help you passengers. I brought everything I needed for customers water, hand sanitizer, lysol and even refreshments for the kids when needed. Take this all in to consideration if you think about working for them.
Don't waste of time. This like working for penny at the end of the day€ customer service never understand $#*! and go based on Scripps and say the same suff down and have a heart.
Lyft is refusing to honor the $750 signup bonus. The reason I chose Lyft over Uber is because they were offering this bonus for DC drivers. I googled Lyft and saw that they were offering it. I then decided to download the app and start the signup process. I signed up and got on the road only to later be told that I needed to input a code when signing up and that they will not input it for me. Lyft did not properly advertise this bonus or any bonus for that matter. Lyft doesn't say you need to input the code. What happens to many people is that they do their research (like I did), see the benefits and then proceed to download the app or apply to be a driver through the app they already have downloaded. In my case at least, it was reasonable to assume that the bonus was for all DC drivers who signed up (given what you can see on Lyft's website) and consequently I signed up in DC. Later I was told that I needed to input the code when signing up and that they will not be honoring the signup bonus. To make it even worse, I contacted my "mentor" who completely ignored my complaint.
Basem, driving a White Toyota with plate 8PIR…, routinely cancels rides with disabled riders who have service dogs. This is illegal and Lyft doesn't do anything to discourage this behavior.
11/17/17 Used Lyft to our destination $19.48... Used Uber on the return $8.58. No reason for the difference. Except the Lyft driver was new & couldn't get his phone to route our destination.
These F**Kers quote me $70 to leave immediately.
$33 was the wait and save price.
I Ofcourse choose wait and save$33.
Expecting to pay $33 which is way cheaper I end up waiting a 25 mins just to be assigned a driver ok cool no big deal.
I get assigned a driver ride home everything's great.
I get out and the app freezes. Somehow the app gets stuck on add a stop. I added no stops and had to intention to add a stop. I was getting off of work heading straight home.
So I close the app and I immediately get a meager saying rate us and your price $116.
Woah what. Customer support time.
Haha this joke of customer support….available 24/7 but you can't speak to nobody and if you ask for a supervisor they end the conversation.
Customer support tells me they see no errors. Ok well there is one.
He tells me the price goes up when you add a stop.
I never added a stop you can ask the driver.
Then he says we'll account for time and other stuff.
Ok well that's understandable quoted $33 pay $43 ok that's sucks but ok.
Quoted $33 and charger $116 is unacceptable.
That's 4 times my quoted price.
They tell me there's no errors so I screenshot where it says I saved $73.
If I paid $116 and saved $73 you're telling me this 30 mins ride was $189.
Ridiculous. I even sent the screen shot to them to show and they see "no problems".
I understand there are peak hours.
At most no matter the time of day at most full price the ride is $70 at the most. Straight scam.
I drive for lyft and the reason I came to lyft is because of the tip option available for riders to click on at the end of the ride to be included on the driver's paycheck. I always drive safely and provide the options of going a bit slower or a bit faster depending on my rider's schedule, I always give the option to stop me at anytime if you need to get something from the store or anything else. I have a 4.96 star overall rating to this date and sometimes my week ends near a 4.98 rating, I have nothing against anyone but it is dissappointing when you realize that the majority of riders don't tip, living in a city where rent is at an all time high and only keeps getting more expensive to live in. Your favorite restaurants/bar service people live based on their tips, isn't it time to stop and think for a moment and think how would you make a living out of the same thing I do, day in and day out and dealing with many intoxicated people that bring my rating down from times even though I babysit them and make sure they make it all the way in their home/apt. Please tip your driver's if he takes good care of you. Plus in the washington dc area per an email I just got it better for riders, since you will be saving 50% off rides during the week not weekends, can you find it somewhere in your heart to tip since you'll be saving more compared to uber, please.:-) I tip all my service people when I am out and about. I used to be a barback, clerk at a lawfirm, and it is just the right thing to do. Uber drivers now rate their customers 4 stars when they dont tip
Answer: They randomly out of the blue deactivated my account. This was there explanation. We found your account to be violating our Terms of Service and you will no longer be able to use the Lyft platform. I can honestly I have not violated anything so clearly there is something wrong with there information but the worst thing is they dont even tell you what the problem is. Oh well guess take my business to uber instead.
Answer: Lft runs different promotions and depending on promotion they promise a signup bonus(500-1100$). Now if they really pay the bonus it's totally up to their discretion.in my case they didn't pay. I completed the 60 Rides required in the first 30 days, which was the requirment to qualify for the bonus but they still didn't pay. After a brief email exchange with a lyft employee(they do not give their position or full name) they stopped answering. Now I am filing a complain with BBB and I will let you know where it goes when I have updates.
Answer: Lyft's customer service is terrible. If they won't correct it, file a dispute with your credit card company.
Lyft has a rating of 1.4 stars from 906 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Lyft most frequently mention customer service, credit card and phone number. Lyft ranks 32nd among Car Sharing sites.
