My wife and I hired LOWES as a contractor for removal and installation of new counter tops and backsplash. LOWES forces consumers to pay for everything in advance, before they will schedule your job. Total charges for removal of counter tops and removal of backsplash 1650.00. The LOWES contractor demo and granite installer, broke the electric box's during the demo. These outlets were on the backsplash that was removed. These installers made a large mistake after completion of counter tops. They didn't cut sink correctly and had to redo this 4 days later. After this mistake we had to reschedule the tile backsplash installer. On 09/16/2024, tile backsplash contractor discovered the broken electric box's at 3 outlets. We attempted to call local Lowe's Palestine TX. Scott Givens, the manager he would not return calls. So I reported to BBB. The next person that called me was Executive Customer Relations Jeff Thomas. Communicating with Jeff Thomas was a total waste of my time. It's evident he just is someone whom delays consumers. Jeff asked for pics of outlets electric box's that were broken. I provided those for him. During my conversations with Jeff, he was not helpful! All he did was delay. First he wanted me to perform these repairs. Secondly he wanted me to have 3 electricians come give bids. I suggested his store mgr at Palestine Tx. Arrange to send three electricians to my home or send electrician over to repairs. LOWES seems to think consumers work for them. This is amusing because LOWES contract we signed states clearly, if the consumer hires a contractor or attempts to repair items LOWES WILL NO LONGER BE RESPONSIBLE! Although I attempted to work with LOWES, no realistic solution was offered by Lowes. This was all a delay tactic. Mr.James considers this closed. We as consumers do not consider this closed!
My husband and father-in-law visited the plumbing department twice today and received inadequate assistance from an employee named Don. Eventually, Don suggested they hire a plumber, which is unacceptable given the nature of the store. If Don is not interested in working in the plumbing department, he should seek employment elsewhere. No customer should receive such poor treatment at Lowe's home improvement store or any other establishment.
Lowes currently has advertised buy 3 bags.75 Miracle Gro Garden soil get 3 free on sale for 2.29$ bag …BIG LIE.nothing is free here and the store is dodging the question when you speak with the manager. Call corp #*******937 good luck there too wait on hold over 40 minutes then put your number for call back then they call back and hang up as soon as you answer it …wonderful.another great American company gone to hell!

We had a dryer delivered today by Lowe's. Having new hardwood floors I was very concerned that they would be damaged. The two delivery men could not have been nicer or more efficient. Polite, neat and knew what they were doing. Thank you Lowe's for giving us such great service
Lowe's is by far the worst home improvement store, hard to find help, disrespectful and their returns policies are totally unfair to customers, even if you have an account with these people. They are all about MONEY no customers fairness. Just terrible.
Everyone seems to only leave reviews on a negative experience! Very rarely on a job well done. I must leave a positive review with an overwhelming desire from an associate at East Athens GA location (store # 2204). I remember the associates name somehow. His name was Ronnie. I won't bore everyone with the details of our encounter other than stating a few facts. Ronnie was polite at our 1st interaction, willing to help without judgement, helpful, did an excellent job with cutting a piece of custom sized glass, small talk about colleges attended, packaged the glass securely and very safe to prevent getting cut accidentally. Overall a very pleasant shopping experience. I've gotten excellent service from this location on multiple visits. That's why store (2204) is my go to store on pool supplies, lawn and garden, appliances, home improvement, power tools, etc...
Just wanted to give all the team at Store #2204 on a job well done! Keep up the excellent service!
They promise fast delivery so I chose them over less expensive options then the delivery is delayed by a week. I check the tracking number and I can see the item just sitting at a shipping center for days. I contact support and they can't do anything, they don't even offer any sort of discount or partial refund.
Edit: the cabinets finally came and were also disappointing, cheap quality that fell apart when I touched them and the instructions were vague and sometimes completely missing important steps. But after leaving a bad review they did contact me and offer a 5% discount so I guess that's something.
I have come to accept the big box store known as Lowe's.
For a long time I resisted it... but now I have caved.
Their products were useful for a recent redo... I heavily relied upon their lumber, paint, hardware and even some landscaping items.
I am there so often these days... that I know a lot of the employees either by name or face... and became such a frequent and invested customer that for two years in a row I was invited to (and attended) the contractors' cook out held in their parking lot.
I imagine that each locale varies... and each buying experience does as well.
Their products are certainly not in any sort of exclusive range... but they are about as solid as you can get in terms of basic Americana these days.

I ordered 2 items. $179 each for a $358 total. My card was immediately charged 3 times. $179-$179-$358 for a $716 total. Yes the charges were pending. However there was a hold on $716 on the card meaning I can not use that credit. Is this legal? I called Lowe's and spoke with 4 people. Everyone knew about this and says it is how Lowe's places charges. That means debit cards too.
I won't be going back to Lowe's. I didn't like the place before, now it's just too much.
Placed 2 orders with them. Items listed as in stock. Both times they called me back to say that items are out of stock and not available. (( I was wasting my time shopping on their website. Not happy at all.
Push the button and wait for help. Novel concept. At least there store is cleaner than Home Depot and organized very well. You might not find a knowledgeable person to help you but someone will eventually show up!
While Lowes online can occasionally have attractive pricing on some products, I've been often less then pleased with the post order results. I've had several occasions where what you order (on the Web site) is not what you get in the store. Despite reporting it, it doesn't seem to get fixed. Wasted many weeks returning items and waiting for replacements only to get the same wrong item again. Store employee's are generally indifferent to Web orders and seemingly almost bothered by having to deal with them. On the plus side they sometimes offer items not otherwise found elsewhere.
I have dealt with 3 ladies over the past few years. Emma, home appliances. Emile, paint and most recently "Ronnie" in garden tools. They, each and every one is the consummate professional. They are positive, helpful, knowledgeable, and, in today's world, this just lays me out,... they are not only helpful, they really like their job! As I'm writing this long overdue bit of praise, I can see their faces. I am 77, critical of everything! Always have something to gripe about! Stay with me now, they, everyone of them, not only put up with a cranky, impatient old man,. Emma, Emile and Ronnie all provided unbelievable, knowledgeable service,... they put up with me!

After several years of being a Lowe's customer, and spending thousands on remodeling, my wife started making the payments on my card, since she was responsible for most of the charges. After 2 late payments(not missed, just late), these bastards cancelled my account. I. m still waiting to see what this does to my credit score. Why the hell didn't they just tack on a late charge and be done with it? Lowe's you have a very piss poor way of treating customers! Home Depot here I come!
I bought,what I thought,was an extended warranty for my washer in 4/21, to expire in 4/25.Looked at specifics of warranty before purchase.Was informed,after questioning Lowe's when they emailed me about upcoming expiration, that extra warranty I bought runs concurrent w/manufacturers.Concurrent not specified in warranty statement & could be easily misconstrued.Spoke w/assoc.,informed her of warranty wording, on a fixed income & unable to purchase additional $300 warranty being offered but was still unable to get that additional yr.Will avoid shopping there.

Wanted to buy a dewalt drill/driver with 2 batteries and a charger. Clerk said there was no such configuration and would not unlock the cage to check. I went home and purchased it from Amazon. The shelbyville store is being poorly managed and the employees need better training.
If I could I would give NO STARs. I bought a brand new Craftsman Riding lawnmower, the blade doesn't engage so called they told me that they were going to replace with a new one that they assembling it last weekend that they would call me but they never did so-called back on Tuesday they said they would assemble a new one and deliver it today, well they came to get the one I have, well they didn't have my replacement so I didn't give him the one I have not until I get the new one. So called the store they said they didn't have any more at their store, well where is the one they were assembling all week? This was the first time I shopped and bought something from Lowes, I can tell you this I will NEVER shop there again. Very upset and really P'd off. Waited for promised delivery 9am to 9pm NOTHING. Next day Mgr Niclole could have cared less, offering nothing in the day of fixing their mistake. Home Depot gets my business going forward.
