I ordered a dvd and heard nothing for three weeks. I was tired of waiting, so I cancelled my order. About 3 wks later they said they would send the dvd. Again I told them to cancel the order and refund the money. They sent it anyways, and I sent it back unopened and again asked for a refund. I wrote and I called a few more times to resolve the issue, but no response. After complaining to the BBB I was able to get a full refund.
Do not order from these people. I ordered a hard-to-find movie from them in August of 2020. I did receive the movie (although it was obviously just burned off late-night television) and thought I was done with them. But then in March of 2021 I got a charge from them on my credit card under a slightly different company name. I disputed the charge with my credit card company and the charge was removed. I contacted Loving the Classics. Many weeks later they responded with an apology, said it was an error and promised to refund my money. I checked my credit card about a week later (mid April) and found that not only had they NOT refunded my money, but they had charged me another random amount under a third company name. At this point I had to have my credit card cancelled and was issued a new number. All because of these jerks. Stay away!
LTC = Loving the Classics
LTC = Loving the Class Pickeri
LTC = Loving the Critters
I ordered a dvd of Johnny Carpenter, "Outlaw Treasure," from LTC on October 20. On November 16, I got an email from LTC "confirming" my order, whatever that meant. On that same day, my credit card was billed for the order. On December 1, when my order still had not arrived, I emailed LTC asking for a tracking number. LTC responded that he would send me a tracking number the next day. That's the last I heard from LTC, despite my sending him several more emails. Yesterday, I contacted my credit card company and immediately received a credit for the charge to LTC--suggesting that my credit card company was already well aware of LTC. By all means, beware of this chiseler!
I read the excellent reviews on Loving the Classics. So I purchased a dvd on january 20,2017. My payment was automatically taken. After emailing and calling with no response, I read another review site where peoples credit card were being stolen and unknown purchases were being made. Long story short, my bank called me with $700.00 in purchases i did not make. DO NOT BUY FROM LOVING THE CLASSICS
The first time I ordered from these people was a few years ago, the movie took 1 month to ship and no response to repeated emails, I thought I would never get the order.
The second time I ordered in June 2015 (I figured the first order wait time was a fluke and I gave them another chance), well forget it, the orders (2) took well over 2 months to arrive and again no response to emails. I will NEVER deal with them again because if I do, I will probably be dead before the movies arrive. Besides isn't it illegal to charge your card well in advance before you ship an item with no "heads up" if something is on backorder?
I ordered a movie that was impossible to find anywhere else. Not only did they have what I was looking for but also delivered within 5 days via media mail. Very pleased.
Bought a DVD in November. Didn't arrive until 5 months later (after NUMEROUS emails were sent to the company) and then they sent me THE WRONG MOVIE!
Ordered a Greek Mythology movie and got a Mexican Western... in SPANISH!
Seriously, no refunds no help. They kept my money but I will NOT let this slide and neither should you. STAY AWAY!
NEVER ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY IF YOU THINK YOU WILL EVER NEED THE MOVIES IN A HURRY OR NEED CUSTOMER SERVICE BECAUSE IT WON'T HAPPEN.
Well after 6 months, my orders did arrive but, if you have read my other reviews, you will note that I asked for a refund in the form of a check BECAUSE my mom passed away four months ago and the movies were for her and were on her credit card.
The first order came with a damaged case. I sent an email to customer service to say that there was damage and to again complain that I didn't want the movies and would now like a return number to send them back (knowing full well this will never happen). Again no response to anything.
I have just given up. I guess I am now going to have 12 movie classics that will probably never be watched.
What I find interesting is that Loving the Classics has Sitejabber as their "testimonial" site! I think the testimonials are few and far between!
After my first review, I received an email from LTC. They said that they would refund my mother's credit card. However, I again advised them that in the course of ordering movies and them finally saying they couldn't provide, my mother passed away and all her credit cards and assets have been put in probate.
I asked that a check be sent in her name, to my address which is where the movies were to be delivered. I have had no response to that request even though I have sent several emails trying to confirm this nor have I received a refund. This all started when I ordered on April 19/18. My mom has been gone now three months. What a mess.
I told them if I didn't hear from LTC about a check refund I would be putting another review on sitejabber and here I am.
Fair warning. Never order a large number of films because they just can't deliver.

I placed a large order of movies for my mother. In the past I have received what I ordered so I tried to put in this large order on April 19,2018. LTC charged my mother's credit card but we are now well past 6 weeks that they say deliveries will be made and no movies have been delivered. HOWEVER, in the course of placing this order, my mother passed away. I have sent several emails to ask if the order can be cancelled and the money credited to the credit card. I have had no reply whether or not it can be cancelled and have seen nothing back on the card. All I want is an email answer!
How frustrating is it when you order items, (over $300 Australian I might add), they admit they didn't have the stock, but offer you a discount on your next order instead of refunding your money? Like I'm gonna spend more money on titles that might not turn up again? I''m a patient guy, but not after 2 months of waiting-GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK, NOW, PLEASE!
I purchased a movie on Jan 28 2020 very poor quality. I complained and got my money back on Feb 20 2020. I went through papal no problem. Then on Jan 31 2021 they went and charged me again for the same purchase and price. Only this time it did not go through pay pal and it was not approved on my end.
They kept my card information and charged it another way. They said if I had any questions to contact them Receipt from LTC Loving the Classics

SUMMARY Haven't herd back. I emailed and called the number they gave me.
Like so many other reviewers have said, I too should have read the reviews of this company before placing an order. Now, like so many, I am learning the hard way that this company is a total scam! I placed an order for one DVD on September 19,2019. It has now been 3 months, and after several inquires, in which none were answered; I still have not received my DVD. Now, just yesterday, they charged my credit card a SECOND time for the same amount as my original order! I called my credit card provider and had this company blocked from ever trying to charge my card again. STAY CLEAR FROM THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE NOTHING BUT SCAM ARTISTS!
Everything negative everyone says is true. They have a great assortment of hard to get movies but they're called hard to get because it's hard to get your order filled with Loving the Classics. It took me over one year of emails back and forth to finally get most -- not all -- of my order filled. Most gray market (you know what that really means) outfits keep master copies of the films they sell. When you order, they just burn a copy,. Not Loving the Classics. You order the film and they're out of it -- for months on end, "waiting on supplier." Crazy when they're the supplier. Some discs don't play or don't have sound. Priority shipping is a further waste of money when they don't ship your order for six months. Oh, I get my films in six months and three days. Thanks! This is a mom and pop business in way over their heads. They can't keep up with orders, have no quality control regarding their fulfillment process, don't know their left hand from their right, their head from their a***. Nothing but excuses and promises. But don't worry, they "feel your pain." And they do, all the way to the bank. Their bank. You'd have to be crazy to order anything from these flakes. Do not pin your hopes on the good reviews.
ORDERED TW0 DVDS OVER TWO MONTHS AGO-NOTHING. HAVE SENT 11 E-MAILS, SAME RESULTS, NOTHING. WHEN I FINALLY HEARD FROM THEM (PHONE)-THEY MADE EVERY EXCUSE IN THE WORLD. SAID THEY WERE ON BACK ORDER (FUNNY-THEIR AD SAVES IN STOCK). THEIR PHONE NUMBER IN OHIO IS *******825--(HEATHER JANET). THEIR GO BETWEEN (MARGE?)- PHONE # *******335. DON'T GIVE UP ON PESTERING THEM FOR WHAT THEY STOLE FROM YOU. IT IS CALLED THEFT BY DECEPTION. KEEP ON THEM AND WE CAN JUST GET SOME JUSTICE ON THESE CROOKS.
I ordered a dvd of East Lynne from these folks on 12/8. I only received the automated response from them, nothing human related. I simply wanted either a tracking # or some idea of when I could expect the item. So after about 10 days, I emailed. Nothing. A couple days later, I filled out the ridiculous Customer Service form on their website. Nothing. I tried calling... oh, about 50 times. Nothing. In fact, my calls went to their voice mail box which was always full and not taking anymore messages. Of course, like an idiot, I emailed again to no avail. I called my bank (BOA) directly and explained what was going on and that this place had about a thousand negative reviews (almost exactly like mine) and that I wanted to cancel the order and get my $ back. BOA took care of it in about a day. I would definitely NOT recommend this place to anyone, and I don't see why the BBB hasn't done something to shut them down. Based on the many identical complaints I've read online, they don't respond or deliver any product. Look elsewhere for what you want.
Ordered a film 3 years ago, they immediately took my money, I filed a BBB REPORT. Just got a package today with a homemade COPY of the film which is crap. Jumpy, third generation lousy quality, oh and a freebie of a Julie Andrews movie. Don't bother with this company unless you have low blood pressure and need it to rise. WTF. HOW IS THIS PLACE STILL IN BUSINESS!
I am a huge fan of Patrick Swayze and the movie Dirty Dancing, so when I heard that it was being shown at the theater screens at the mall I got crazily excited, but that excitement was short lived, because the place was just crazy crowded and to make things even worse, it was on "the Voice" night, so standing in line to wait for my turn was just out of the picture for me. Then someone told me about Lovingtheclassics.com, a website that allows you to purchase classic movies online. So, I had a look-see. Initially I was dubious over the claims of the website, but then again I am always that way, especially when I have to use my credit card over the internet. But I must say, Lovingtheclassics.com has a great collection of titles that is enough to satisfy the appetites of those seeking out something other than the usually Hollywood blockbusters.
This means no more long lines to wait in and no worries of being turned away. Not only did I easily find the movie I was looking for, but picked up some other titles even I had forgotten about (Awesome). Also, shipping is a huge factor when purchasing anything online, so I have been extremely pleased with the speed of their shipping. There is a fee, but it's definitely worth it!
I ordered videos four months ago and still have not received them, yet my credit card was charged. Because I was unable to get Loving the Classics on the phone, and the two email replies I did receive were full of empty, bogus promises, I contacted the Better Business Bureau of Ohio who logged a complaint on my behalf. Now, the BBB has recommended that I contact the office of the Ohio Attorney General for further assistance as they have not received a response from this company based on my complaint. I had ordered a video back in 2013 and had no problems back then which is why I ordered again. If they knew they were in trouble, it is unconscionable of them to have charged my credit card knowing full well they would never deliver the goods. They continue to email notifications of new titles and deals, conducting business as usual. They even offered me a free shipping code for a new order as an apology for waiting so long for my videos that I still have not received. Are they kidding? I'm a very prolific online shopper and take great care in making online purchases. This has been a very disappointing experience for me so please take heed. If there was a 0 rating, I would have selected that instead of the 1 star.
THIS COMPANY SHOULD BE OUT OF BUSINESS AND THE ATTORNEY GENERAL SHOULD HAVE THEM OUT OF BUSINESS. THEY ARE NO GOOD
YOU BUMS I HOPE IF THEIR IS A GOD IN THIS WORLD THAT YOU DON'T GET A WAY WITH RIPPING PEOPLE OFF BA.
The behavior of this horrible company is most likely associated with a drug problem. I have seen this kind of thing before and the police should get involved before more people are hurt.
I ordered a movie from this place MONTHS AGO and they never sent it.
Then, last month they sent an email saying they're backed up but will send it, but they didn't. I sent them an email, no answer.
The only thing they do well is charge your credit card.
**AVOID THIS SCAM SITE**
Answer: Hello, We just recently joined SiteJabber and saw your negative review of our company. I'm sorry we did not provide you with a good experience. Can you give me your name and/or order number so I can work with you to get this matter resolved to your full satisfaction? Thank you, Brenda
