I ordered a movie on June 4th for Father's Day. It took over a month and a half to get the movie. The quality of the movie is terrible. It appears they are copying the movie off television. I was under the impression it was a new movie and they had it in stock. But it was not. The cost of the movie was outrageous for what I received. By the way, it did not arrive in time for father's day.
In January of this year I ordered a DVD series from lovingtheclassics.com. In February a mass email was sent out letting customers know there would be a slight delay in receiving any products ordered from this company. In April, having received nothing from lovingtheclassics.com, I emailed them asking where my DVD order was. I told them my order was now 3 months overdue and if they could not get my order to me to please issue me a refund. I heard nothing from this company, no update, DVD, or refund. In June I emailed them again demanding an answer as to where my DVD order was or where my refund was. I have still heard nothing from them. It is my opinion that this company is a scam. DO NOT send them your money. You will never see it again.
I purchased "Cottenpickin' Chickenpickers" order #*******577 in March, 2018. The movie would not play, so I sent it back per their instructions Attn: Mickey to get a replacement. As of today's date I haven't heard from them! I've sent e-mail after e-mail, I've tried calling them, no one will answer there phone. I'll never spend another cent with them! They SUCK!
Im not sure why there are negative reviews for this site I havent had a problem. There the only place I go to for old Hollywood movies and know I won't have to pay an arm and a leg. I recommend Loving the Classics to all my friends and I have 8 movies and counting!
After searching the address on file for this company, I learned it does not exist. This company have been ripping off patrons for years. If you need to file a claim, please contact www.bbb.org. This company can assist you.
August 8,2018, ordered one DVD. Despite a dozen emails and a call to a non existent number I called my bank, canceled the transaction, the bank gave me my money back.
Never a call or an email total scammers!
I placed an order on March21, and after 6 weeks began contacting the company, to no avail. On the BBB site, it gives this company "F", and also says that the phone has been discontinued. Buyer Beware!
OMG! I was taken in. I wanted to get a TV series The Defenders from 1961. They promised the complete series. Instead I got only the first season with a bit of the second (about 3 episonde) one episode from the 3rd and 4th. These DVDs are fake and not the episode. I would not be surprised if there is a illegal copyright issue. Do not buy from these people.
Ordered a DVD in March. Never got the DVD. Contacted customer service and was told the movie was backordered. Asked for a refund and was told they would contact their Accounting department. Never got the refund. Sent another email and was completely ignored. Why isn't this company being investigated. They are ripping people off and getting away with it. Stay away from this place.
The facts: on december 3,2016 I placed an order with Loving the classics for one DVD. Payment by credit card. Almost immediately afterwards I got a warning that multiple fraudulent purchases were done with this credit card. This is surely no coincidence since I've read similar scenario's on this site. As of today I have still not received any dvd. Only false promises. I am getting very irritated with this kind of company. Moreover lovingtheclassics are giving e-commerce a bad name.
So the message is: PLEASE DON'T BUY FROM THIS COMPANY.
Complaint with the FTC is about to follow.
Hopefully we can put an end to the transactions of this company.
Update 22 feb 2017: dvd has arrived but copy is absolutely unwatchable (bad sound, bad picture). In short, quality is unsustainable.
Suspicion is that they are making copies from videos and selling them for the real thing. Complaint with the FTC has been filed.
Absolutely disgraceful service! Please Please Please! Do not order from Lovin The Classics! You will have your money taken out of your account virtually straight away, and will go through hell for months and months to receive what you order, or your money refunded. When l did receive the dvd's, four months later, the cases were all cracked from the poor packaging, the quality and sound of all the dvd's were absolutely disgusting. Please save yourself the stress! It is not worth it!
Ordered 9th July 2018, and the funds were debited from my credit card
Within 2 days. 10+ weeks later, several emails, of which, only 1 of
Which was answered, and still no goods. Having to make a claim via my
Credit card. I order from the US very regularly, (I'm in the UK), and
This company is a disgrace. Like other customers, I am extremely
Uncomfortable with this company now having my credit card details. I
Recommend anyone having dealings with them get your card replaced asap. Would give a minus rating if I could.
UPDATE - 30th October 2018 - I put in the claim with my credit card, and despite the company saying that they would refund me, (of course, they did not do that, but thankfully I kept all the emails between us), they are actually now challenging the refund the credit card company issued me! Disgraceful!
Hello I placed an order with this company, it involved The Sullivans (Australian TV Series) a 100 disk plus set, it was on special about $100 off normal price, great deal including free shipping to Australia. Well that what I thought got the line card declined from accounts, rubbish card was not even accessed, Little profit in it would be more the reason, they cancelled the order and increased the price and removed free shipping on their site. From what I have read on the net I think they did me a favour!
I was so excited to find this website. I ordered 2 movies I'd been wanting for years. I was very understanding:
First, Xmas rush (I ordered in October of 2019)
Second, supply problems
Third, covid (which didn't reach full force in US until March 2020)
Fourth, covid
Received March 2021, after 18 months and repeated requests.
The quality of one of the movies was excellent.
The one I most wanted, Song of the South, was completely worthless as it locked every 10 seconds throughout the film so that we spent more time trying to make it run than we did in seeing actual footage. If you are outside the US (I'm in Australia) I don't recommend ordering from them.
I placed an order for a box set. When it finally arrived6 months later it was not the box set as advertised but a formatted version. Most of the DVDs did not play as they should, some did not play at all. The advertising was fraudulent
I ordered a DVD back in March 2020 and finally five months later, in August, it came. In the meantime, my credit card was charged FOUR times - twice by Classic Reelz on 3/16 and 4/11 and twice by Loving the Classics - 8/15, around the time I received the DVD, and AGAIN, out of the blue, in November! These folks go by different names, websites and have multiple telephone numbers and email addresses. They will not respond to emails, answer the phone or respond to voicemail. I've had to block them from charging me yet again and I'm still working with my card company disputing the charges. Boy did I learn a lesson here! It's a shame these people are allowed to run this scam!
We did receive our DVDs but they were very poor quality, we had the same movies from another vendor that were much better quality, and asked if we could be sent better quality copies and never received any response.
On 13 march 2017 I sent back from Italy a package (nr. *******975), returning 3 DVDS bought on 20 december 2016 (order nr. *******).
The quality of the films was very low indeed and simply unacceptable. I asked a store credit for a future order, referring to the Customer Service Page on the site of the Company (Satisfaction Guaranteed). THIS SERVICE IS FAKE: I never received a confirmation. I shall sue the company for compensation.

Jo Stafford was a famous American singer who starred in several TV shows including a 1960s series filmed in London. Loving The Classics advertises a 2 dvd set of this 1960s series, however the actual DVDs feature a couple of those shows and some other Stafford clips taken from other American 1950s shows. The dvds skip and the quality is poor. I did get a refund after complaining to my credit card company. They ignored my emails before that. Their website lets you review their product, which I did but of course they have to approve the review. It still isn't there and their website is still extolling that they have this 1960s English Jo Stafford series for sale, which is false advertising!
I have tried to order the Harry Lauder Song of the Road aka End of the Road (1936) five times. The first three times I was sent obscure movies that have no relation to the Lauder classic. In April and June this year my Master Card was debited but I have not received the disc and my e mails to customer service are ignored. Stay clear of this firm.
