I have been buying from LL Bean for 40 years. Love their clothing quality, sheets, shoes. Everything! And their store in Maine is awesome too!.
VERY SATISFIED with LL Bean! This company exchanged my slippers smoothly and immediately. I've enjoyed being their customer and highly recommend them to anyone I know.
We order a lot from LL Bean. They stand by their products. If something happens tears, shrinks, whatever they will take it back.
I live LL Bean. I have been a loyal Shopper for over 20 years. Their merchandise is the best and will last forever.
They Are pricey but worth it. You get quality, and will unlikely have any issue. They stand by there products for life.
Very disappointed. People who are 20+ years older than me always raved about LL Bean. I live in a very busy city and the nearest store is upstate, about a 2 hour drive. I ordered online a few years ago, and the jeans were so large that I could fit two of myself in it (despite getting the size that is supposed to be my size). Returned it.
Weeks ago, I ordered a jacket, again, it was my size, but it fit like four sizes larger. Called them up and they helped me reorder a smaller size. Again, still too large. How is this even possible? In any case, I understand if I'm returning an item and I pay return shipping. But paying return for an exchange is SO unheard of (from my experience). I ended up having to return both jackets which total cost me $6.95 x 2. Both of them arrived at their warehouse weeks ago and I have yet to see a refund. Read online from other people that it takes up to 4 weeks or more. Never purchasing from their website again. Instead, I'll find that rare occasion to visit the store when I'm near one, then see items in person.
And mind you, the items were shipped back the same day they arrived. I spared no time in getting it back as soon as possible for a refund. Since its been a while, I know it'll happen some time, but it's just extremely SLOW, so it doesn't make me feel THAT great about their service. If they process thousands of returns daily, I get it, but they're making it our problem more than theirs. Also, their sizes are so strange and inconsistent that you'll end up spending a lot of money back and forth returning and exchanging. I should've learned my lesson the first time. Unfortunately, I will no longer shop on LL Bean's website.
Also, I respect their recent policy change due to a lot of people abusing the system. However, the high prices of the clothes no longer reflect the lifetime policy. I'm perfectly fine with a 365 return, but I would want the prices to reflect that. As in be lower.
Shopped here once at the outlet store, took advantage of credit card and big first purchase discount and never been back.
My last two Bean coats have cheap plastic zippers which don't work. Very annoying. Will never buy another LL Bean coat
Great products-reliable sizing and quality.
Great return policy.
Maybe not so exciting, but basics don't get any better than this.
Being able to go to a brick and mortar location puts this retailer high on my list. Great return policy.
They have it all when it comes to outdoors!
Online shopping is made very easy. Good return policy
Highly recommended
Good quality, too expensive against ordinary items that are readily available with less of the possibility of credit card fraud.
I have been an on-line customer of LL Bean for at least a dozen years, mainly for their clothing and shoes. In fact, I have been ordering the same shoe design, their Men's Comfort Mocs, for this entire time. Recently one such order had an interesting "side effect" in that after a year or so the right shoe developed a noticeable color deviation on just one half of its upper suede panels. Since I have a half dozen of these style shoes in my wardrobe and only occasionally wore this particular pair I ignored this anomaly for a while. However after being teased with such comments as "So, did you dress in the dark today, Frank? I see your shoes don't exactly match!" and "Are you trying to bring back the two color Saddle Shoe look, Frank?", I decided to contact LL Bean. I explained that if both shoes had this "two tone" effect that I would be happy since it looked pretty cool but since one stayed the original color and the other didn't, I would like to exchange them for a pair that had the same color on both shoes. They told me to send them back the shoes at my expense, which I did. A call back from their customer service department acknowledged that they were indeed as I described but that because I had owned them for several years that Bean would not make good on their warranty and replace them, even if I paid for part of this exchange price. I had them send the shoes back to me as there is still plenty of wear left in them and now that the "kids" have started wearing dissimilar colored socks and shoes, I guess that I am going to be right in style... although the look isn't quite the same on an 80 year old man as it is on a 14 year old girl.
Can actually talk to a REAL, LIVE human being if you have a glitch in processing your order online. Always helpful and will process the order on the spot if requested to do so.
Others online companies should learn from L. L. Bean that how to provide best services and good quality cloths.
Though you pay a higher price, there customer support is really unparalleled. I love going there (and a bit sad that their shoes last so long!).
On the 21 with next day shipping and a expedite charge they can not get you a order till the 28th why pay all those charges... then they lie and blame it on UPS, Fedex and USPS
LL Bean - Not your Daddy's store. High prices, sketchy quality, and POOR customer service. Sad to see it go.
Former Lifetime customer
Excellent clothing and shoes, very fast shipping and good customer service. I have no complaints about them ever.
Answer: Nope. But I have heard the Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band's Gorilla album and it's my fav.
Answer: Fairly easy to get a CS rep via chat or phone but they aren't as conscientious as they once were and seem to use a lot of canned responses.
Answer: If you don't get results from one customer service representative, ask to speak to a supervisor. I emailed my question in and had a quick response and exceptional service. Had I not, I certainty would have gone up the chain of command.
