They lost my package. After I contacted them, it took them a few days to confirm that it was lost at a distribution Center. They could not just send another one although they had same product: I had to call and place the order again. I was charged again, and I had to provide a credit card number over the phone, which I was not comfortable with. Refund for the lost order took two weeks to process.
Had a terrible experience buying and returning snow shoes at Oakville mall. At time of purchase no staff was around to guide me what to buy to match the weight and gender and the staff member at the cash register had no product knowledge to answer any questions.
I had to return one of them because the size was incorrect. The item had all the tags, original packaging and bag, at the time of return the staff refused to do the refund because the barcode label was missing on the product; she said she had to measure the item to find out if the product was for male/female and also the size to match with the receipt! I asked for the Manager and he handled the situation. I never had such an awful experience returning a brand new product with original tags, packaging and bag! Horrible customer service at both purchase and return!
The water hog mats are great. They are easy to vacuum and to hose off with water. If you have pets or you have dust and grit where you live, these are great. I love that the water hog mats are made in USA. I have them in the bath and entrance ways and in the laundry room. For once my house here in the desert is no longer full of grit and dust. Customer service on the phone is great at LL Bean!
I ordered the same P. J. bottoms I have worn for years from Bean. They changed the cut. The crouch is an inch shorter in front. I understand it's a new style to wear pants/shorts/skirts below the waist but pajamas are suppose to be comfortable more than stylish. I am very disappointed in Bean's inability to stick with tried and true. Every year I have to order as soon as the bottoms become available because they sell out quickly, is this not enough of a sign that the product works? They also changed the waist band to a knit fabric instead of poplin which is O. K. but why? Knit stretches...
I will never purchase anything from Bean in the future. The price is rediculously high for the quality of the product.
I bought a pair of their famous boots, they were too big, I returned them and purchased a smaller size. I was charged for the return even though I purchased another pair!
Sleazy
The only reason I bought the boots is they are the only thing they actually produce in U.S.
Everything else is made mostly in China, meaning you pay $50.00 for a sweater they paid maybe $5.00 for.
Done with LLBean-do yourself a favor a shop local!
This company is NOT what they used to be!
I'm another 30+ year customer who is now fed up with LLBean. The quality has definitely gone down... but certainly not the prices. Customer service/returns is now a joke with them looking for any possible excuse not to hold to their "guarantee." A word to the wise: Do Not purchase Any pet product (leash, toy, bed etc.) and expect them to honor any return whatsoever. Once it's pet related, they'll say the guarantee does not apply. Sheesh!
I received a wrong order from Bean. When I attempted to call to straighten it out I experienced frustration and anger. Beans phone line was busy every time I attempted to call over a two hour period. At other times I was asked to wait because staff was busy handling other orders. I could expect a 10 minute or longer wait. This is NOT the L. L. Bean I'm used to dealing with. This is not an L. L. Bean I expect to deal with in the future. Bean will have to do better if it expects to keep its customers happy and returning. I don't know that I ever will.
Great easy-to-use website, great prices, excellent quality, and wonderful customer service. I have been ordering from LL Bean for 20+ years. I have a credit card through them which allows me to get free shipping and to get bonus dollars for every purchase I make. I buy clothes from them and I love to send gifts from them.
Trying to return a coat that had feathers coming out of the seam. They said it was a natural progression of wear. Well, I hope there are some feathers left to warm me.
I did get paint on the coat that was not the reason I was returning it. It's the second time I bought a coat and feathers come out of the seam.
I will be unsubscribing to their site.
These ll bean slippers are great if you are going to replace them every four to six months but if you expect them to last any longer without the insoles coming apart or the stitching coming out then you may want to just go with a big box store like Walmart slippers that you can get 6 pairs for the price of one pair of these ll bean slippers. And don't try and use the warranty to replace them because they will keep giving excuses to why they can't honor the warranty. Take notice that lo Bean changed the warranty from life time to one year on the slippers knowing the slippers don't last but a few short months before coming apart. I have been trying to leave a review for a week now on ll beans web site but wouldn't you know they check all reviews before being excepted, so that's why I'm paying a review here since they keep denying my review
I bought a pair of shoes. L L Bean sent the wrong size. When I attempted to get a new pair sent to me, I was told that even though the size error was theirs, expedited shipping would be seven days. I told them I would be returning the shoes for a refund. 22 days later I received a call from LL Bean asking if I wanted a pair in the correct size sent to me. So, I made my fourth call to LL Bean to explain that I wanted a refund. I don't know what has happened in the past five years, but customer service is poor as is the quality of the product. (I have been a Bean customer for 25 years.)
Bought a lunch box and had it monogrammed. The monogram was so small! The L L Bean logo was bigger than the initials on the bag, for costing $8 just for the monogram (which was all of 3 letters) and taking 7 days just for the monogram not even shipping it, will not purchase again.
There clothes are good quality, prices are reasonable. That is the good part about ll bean. It ends there. LL Bean is unrealible, they do not deliver even close to on time, and they are ALWAYS out of stock on items on order, or on there web site. I did talk to customer service yesterday, and told them to remove my name from there mailing list. Like I said, there clothes are good quality, prices reasonable, but I do not recommend LL Bean to anyone, anymore.
I am bombarded with advertisements of their 60% discounts. I have yet to find a single item with 60% discount. Their prices are way above the market - why would I pay so much when I can buy comparables for a fraction without the aggravation of dishonest advertising?
I recently bought The christmas tartan candle. Arrived a week ago. It has No balsam scent as advertised. Most of the needles are falling off-Yes I have watered everyday!
I have shopped LLBean for many years1! No more after reading all the complaints
I have been buying from LLBean for many years. Mostly for casual work attire (khakis and polo shirts) but also love their sweaters. The jeans are the best value for great quality. They have free delivery and they return policy is good, too.
The zipper on my beloved LLBean down jacket that I bought in 2015 became stuck and when I pulled it apart 3 of the zipper teeth broke off. I contacted their customer service and I received a response in less than a day saying I could return it for inspection. I did and included a note saying if they determined the zipper to be defective, I would be happy with a partial refund or crediting the cost of a replacement jacket which was quite a bit less than the one I was returning. I also said if they couldn't do that, to please return the jacket and I would have a seamstress put in a new zipper. I just got an email (from the same customer service representative who wrote the original email) saying they were crediting me the full amount. For a 4 year old jacket! Now that's great service and a company that stands by its products!
My husband and I both have very high quality coats, clothes, and camping gear from L. L. Bean. They have free shipping ALL THE TIME, and have great customer service. They are more expensive than some, but the quality makes it worthwhile.
Absolutely ridiculous they wont even take back natural wear and tear shoes even with a 2 year old receipt prior to new policy change, no longer getting my buisness company is a joke now and the shoes dont even last longer than a year.
Very satisfied with the merchandise however the payment for those of us in Canada is very problematic. LLBean site keeps invalidating the purchase. The Credit Card company says the issue is at its end. The problem has existed for over 6 months or more
Answer: Nope. But I have heard the Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band's Gorilla album and it's my fav.
Answer: Fairly easy to get a CS rep via chat or phone but they aren't as conscientious as they once were and seem to use a lot of canned responses.
Answer: If you don't get results from one customer service representative, ask to speak to a supervisor. I emailed my question in and had a quick response and exceptional service. Had I not, I certainty would have gone up the chain of command.
