If I could give zero stars I would. I bought a part to my vehicle from this company. I inquired about this part back in November of 2020. I was told by a customer rep. That base on the information that I provided to her. I was purchasing the right part. I went back on the website lkq.com. I seen that the only option for my vehicle was the part that I was told that I needed. No other option is given for my vehicle. Well, I purchased the part 4/22/2021. My mechanic tried installing the part on my vehicle and part wouldn't fit. I called today and inform a rep. I was quoted the wrong part and the option for another parts wasn't given. The representative confirm that there wasn't another option on her side either so she contacted her supervisor. The supervisor stated that my part was interchangeable with a 4x2 and I have a 4x4. So being that I was told the wrong part, not given an option for another part I just lost almost $500. They are keeping everything except $248. I have to pay to ship it back. That cost is $200.
Poor phone service. Expect to wait on hold for upwards of an hour if not longer. Dont matter what time of day you call.
Your sales rep act like they're doing you a favor by selling your cards. They are so rude and unprofessional it's disgusting.
I paid 4k for an Audi a4 engine. Bad intake and 3 more other parts were bad on the engine. Every bad review I've read about this company is true. STAY AWAY! PROCEED WITH CAUTION
I went in to the Joe Battle location in El Paso and I was charged twice. I retuned an item on the Montana location and the female did not credit my 100.
Just got a $3200, 2, 4 engine, parts broken, engine damage, we sent photos of the engine same day, 5 days
After, the excellent service is gone, the have the $$$$.
DONT BUY FROM LKQ
I went on LKQ online website and I order a AC Compressor for my 2014 Nissan Altima. The car tht I selected for the compressor to be removed from had less than 35,0000 miles. However, when I received the compressor it looked old and the mechanic that was doing the work had some concerns and he wanted me exchange it or inform someone about the condition of the compressor. So I called LKQ customer service 2 rep hung up on me! I called back and I asked to speak w/ a supervisor since I was disrespected by their representatives. The rep that answered the phone placed me on hold for about 20 mins to see if a supervisor was available. Well no one was available so he took my name and number stated someone would call me back. Well a week went by and I still never received a callback, so I called I asked to speak w/ a manager again no one was available. I asked if I could return the compressor and was told to wait for a callback from the manager since they need to find out who sent me the compressor. Months have passed and I still haven't received a call yet! I spent about $160 for this compressor. The mechanic said let's just see if it some good! He put it on my car and here's the results BAD! He placed some dye to show me that it was a bad compressor. I would lk my $ back or a new compressor! I will never order parts again from this website! Just a rip off! The car tht u select parts off of is probably not the car the part was taken off of.
Took our money and we got TWO bad motors! They do not want to issue a refund, so now we have to fight it. This company is CRAP!
So LKQ is a company that buys wrecked vehicles at a huge discount from insurance companies and various other sources. They post on their website about the "history" of the vehicle for the part you are purchasing to supposedly make you feel better about the part you are paying for. I can tell you from personal experience with this company. The "history" of the vehicle is only created on the website to make you feel comfortable about purchasing a used vehicle part that they clearly know nothing about and have no plans of backing up with their "warranty."
LKQ simply disassembles vehicles and offer a six month "warranty." Their "warranty" costs them absolutely nothing. They send you another untested, mystery part and put the burden of install on the consumer. Their prices are much higher than usual salvage companies because they are supposedly a "reputable company". However, there is absolutely no difference between them and going to any scrap yard in any place in America. Unless you purchase an additional warranty from them; their parts are crap. I purchased a $3,500 used engine from them and paid $3,000 to have it installed and it was a completely useless engine with no oil pressure at all. LKQ spent a week delaying to send a "warranty" tech to review the Certified Jeep Master Technicians work on the install. Guess what? The engine was completely blown. LKQ's answer is they will send me another crappy unreliable engine they have no clue about, and I will have to pay for another engine install at my preferred garage.
Bottom line. LKQ is just another scrap yard that provides used parts. DO NOT pay for their inflated prices because they are online and provide a "warranty." Their "warranty" costs them nothing. My $3,500 engine I bought from them did not even work from the start. They put the entire burden on me, I am not rich, I will never deal with this company again.
I will simply go visit my local scrap yard and purchase at a much lower price.
I hate this company it came in broken box I returned it's now going on 3 weeks I still have not gotten refund. Don't not buy from them

LKQ in Massachusetts is an extremely large operation that employees 100's of well trained, customer service driven professionals. They understand one of the most important possessions a person has is their automobile. When your automobile requires a repair, whether it's your personal vehicle or the company owned vehicle you use to do your job everyday, it is a stressful situation that can become even more difficult when the parts you or your mechanic are depending on to complete the repair are not in the condition you expected. LKQ takes pride in working with you or your mechanic to come to a quick, affordable resolution when unexpected problems occur. Many factors come into play when a used mechanical part fails or doesn't function as expected and many of these problems are unfortunately not within LKQ's control. Often times there are additional new parts and installation procedures that are recommended by LKQ to ensure the used part functions to the best of it's ability. If any or all of these install procedures are not followed closely it is the responsibility of the customer and their mechanic to work out how the repairs can be completed as promised. LKQ provides detailed warranty information as well as install procedures for all of the parts they offer for sale - Used, new OE and remanufactured drive train parts all require a different set of install procedures. When a mechanical problem is reported to the LKQ sales staff they immediately put you or your mechanic in contact with their own ASE certified mechanic. LKQ employees technicians for all vehicle makes and models, including heavy duty trucks. Depending on the reported problem an LKQ master technician is chosen and they will contact you within 3 hours to help diagnose the cause of the problem and determine the best way to complete the repair.
LKQ sold me a janked up differential and when I brought it up they told me to eat $#*!. Go to hell company.
Unfortunately you are probably like me reading these reviews too late. The service was so bad I had to look up what others thought. I'm so sorry we are all going through this. I purchased a new crate motor from summit and never heard of LkQ. Summit usually is amazing so I was so happy to get my motor put into my truck. I could have rebuilt my old one but wanted a new one so it could be done faster. Lmao I'm so frustrated. It's been three months now and it's still at my mechanics shop. A 5 star shop that normally turns vehicles quickly. The motor that was "turn key ready" was a $3k money pit. It came with the distributor timing 180 degrees off. Had major squeaking. Had to leave literally 1000 messages to get them to have us redo work. They asked the shop to pull the transmission and shave tabs off the new block. They did that and still squeaky. This three months is aggravating enough paying on a truck to just sit hearing no answers with a motor that has a two year warranty. The motor has been waiting on reply for weeks now waiting on pickup. Yet they never put it in. I called and kept getting voicemails. I talked with customer service and they kept transferring me. After 5 transfers I said your gonna talk with me now or I'm reporting this as fraud. They then tired helping me. They didn't know any information. When I gave them all my purchase info they said they need their claim #. I didn't get that info. She said they couldn't help. I said we'll my next phone call is the fraud dept. Guess you'll be hearing from them. She said hold. After 15 minutes she got me my info and set up a suppose pickup that better happen. She was the most helpful of all the staff by the way. They are only in business because larger companies sell their products. I would have NEVER bought from them. I always look at reviews. I left summit a bad review for even using this company and they are a good company. Hopefully you get your money guys or argue with your credit card company. I have a feeling I will be rebuilding my old motor and over 4 wasted months. Good luck everyone
I returned my part and they did not give me my money back. Avoid LKQ at all costs. Give me my money back you thiefs!
I ordered a part. They Got Payed. I Got NOTHING! They do not respond to e-mails or "contact us"
And no answer to phone calls.
I Got Ripped Off!
If there is a minus 5-star sale of review I will not hesitate to use it, but there is only a one-star to barely reflect my disappointment with LKQ as a whole.
I need a used Hyundai Sonata engine and I have done a great deal of research for LKQ recycled Hyundai engines and printed all those used engine assemblys (2.4L) out by copying the completed list from LKQs national website, up to the minute my mechanics made the order. My mechanics called the local LKQ operation at Ft-Worth Texas on morning of 10/10/2017 and ordered one from information provided by the sales man he talked to. The engine was found not shown up in LKQs national website (where we can do search for all kind of parts).
It is about $2000 investment so I want to make sure everything is OK, I sent a short written message inquiring why the engine was not shown up in their website like the others before our order. A woman rep called (from a number of *******494) me back abound 10:40 AM CDT (10/11/17). It made LKQ look responsive at the very beginning, however, what happened later defeated the entire purpose.
In a very short period of time, this woman has demonstrated that she is the rudest and worst representative of any corporation. She was impatient, rush, a total non-listener, refusing to provide information even when I tried to provide her the part number of the ordered engine for a quick check (she turned down), speaking in an extremely annoying mood with bad attitudes. I am so surprised why LKQ would have hired a woman like this just to turn away all of its future business; that woman apparently is totally lack of any human and communication skill and with no training whatsoever to stay in this business. She has been placed in a wrong spot she is completely and totally not supposed to be in.
By the way, the engine was sent the next day after my mechanics ordered it, however it did not come with completed paper works such as the documentation of the mileage the engine used so my mechanic sent it back and wait for the proper paper works.
I boutgh piece with LKQ company, but piece was broken and supposedly return my money back but I never recived my money, I am waiting to 8 months and nothing...
Answer: My mechanic recommended them. He is no longer using them either due to problems with parts he's received...
LKQ has a rating of 1.2 stars from 166 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with LKQ most frequently mention customer service, next day and oil pan. LKQ ranks 793rd among Auto Parts sites.
