I recently signed up on this website LiveCareer and I am really frustrated! First of all, the customer service is to beg for. With a deadline to submit my cover letter for a "Masters" Degree 📜 program, I failed to download the cover letter on one page. I revised the cover letter, meaning I counted the number of words that appeared on the second page, edited the original letter by removing the same amount of words in hope that I would eventually get my one page to no avail. I re-edited the letter again and again loosing almost two times the amount of words that were on my original letter and kept on getting two pages. So I decided to change the cover letter to a different version and same results. After wasting almost two days, I eventually gave up.
But "Oops" now I can't get them to delete my mode of payment off there website, even though I have made it clear, I am not interested nor will I ever be interested in their services ever again. Websites are hacked all the time and I don't want my credit card staying on sites that I no longer have use for. What will it take for these people to delete my account and payment information off their site?
PS - The number in the Account number field is my cancellation number. I don't have an account number as I don't use the services any longer.
My experience was very great. I called to see why Perfectresume was charging my card and Joe made everything easy. He was very patient and reassured me that he would handle the issue. To resolve the problem, Joe refunded my money back to my account. Calls like these are never stress-free but Joe managed to make it an easy stress-fee call!
They deducted money on my account without my consent and later promised to refund my money, however instead they made a second deduction on my account and claimed that they did not do it. These are typical thieves. Run away from such.

I have used live career many times to write cvs and cover letters and even to look for jobs! This time i decided to start a paid membership so that i could email and also print the finished resumes and cover letters- i decided to pay for one month and then cancel immediately. At one point i was told i was entitled to a resume review which i thought was great, and assumed that it was free... only to find out that i was charged $24! Its left me with a very sour taste in my mouth. I was a big fan but now i will think again about using this website - the trust has gone!

Overall it was a good experience up until the moment it wouldn't let me go any further until I paid $1.95 and said I had 30 days I think and then I would start paying $19.99 a month. I have no use for a resume service monthly. My plan is to get a job and not continue to send out resumes. The sight is good, but when it says it is free that is what the customer thinks. I think that part should be upfront rather than free everywhere. It's not true. Other than that very helpful.

I hate, hate, hate, how companies do the bait and switch on people. They tell you that it will cost you only $4.95 for 7 days of use and the next thing you know your bank account is dinged for $34.95! If you would put THAT in bold print before the $4.95 sales pitch, you at LiveCareer.com would not be getting such ugly reviews.

Our renewal policy is listed clearly in normal size font with the subscription option, on the payment confirmation page and purchase confirmation email. If you do not cancel we will assume that you are still using our service. Many of our customers continue to use our service for several months during their entire job search.
To cancel your subscription simply contact us by phone, email, or chat. We also have a self-cancellation method available in your account settings. Worst CV company ever! They charged my account 32 euro for nothing. They refused give back refund. When you are paying just above 2 euro for CV, they put you on FREE MONEY list! After two months or so you will be surprised as well when looking in you account summary. Everything what they said- it's in Terms and Conditions.

This service was helpful in creating a resume, however I do have an issue with the way the service was provided. All of your advertisements claim that this is a free service, but really charges a fee to download the resume and actually use it. I know this is a business that needs to make a profit, but you should be upfront about your fees. I was very pleased with the customer service I received.

I really appreciate the actual service. The customer service was good. They helped me get a refund for an unnecessary charge. The reason why there are 4 stars and not 5 is because of the 5 minute sales pitch at the end of the conversation. Other than that the service was great!

There are plenty of resources for job seekers. In my opinion too many that are vary in value. LiveCareer does a great job at filtering high quality resources and tailoring them to your needs. It is a relatively inexpensive service and the customer service is also great.

I don't think it was clear that this was an automatic renewal on this site. I was unable to cancel online and now have a second charge on my account. I called customer service. What a joke. Evidently the customer service representatives don't speak english so that you will just give up.

Best customer service - gave a refund for an unused month before I could even live chat them about it! In terms of the resume format - downloading it to word made it a little wonky and difficult to edit outside of their site. There were some changes I couldn't make on the site in terms of how I wanted dates to look or placement of certain things.

I only gave one star because 0 was not an option. Complete scam do not waste your time or money! I have been charged fees of $1.07 multiple times and charged $35.80 a couple times and the website promised a one time charge of $1.95 or whatever it was and well that's definitely not the case. And no their website does not make it clear that you will get charged or that you have to unsubscribe to avoid monthly charges.It was supposed to be a one time fee to email myself the resume and it did not come out exactly as it was previewed! SCAM!

This site is RIDICULOUS. I paid the initial fee to make my resume using a re loadable Visa. After reviewing my charges on the card, I then noticed that they charged me for an 7 months at the rate of $34.95! Who thinks that keeping a resume should cost that much per month! REALLY? $420.00 per year? When I contacted them they said my fault for not understanding that they could keep charging me for a one-time service month after month. After objecting, they credited me back 2 months. BEWARE OF THIS SITE

I used this to draft a resume which I couldn't use. And paid what I thought was a 1 off payment but going through my statement they have been double dipping every month since. It adds up 2 hundreds of dollars and I am broke now... I have requested my money back and to cancel it but I'm awaiting their response

I was looking a free template to make a quick Resume for my sons aged 16 and 13 so thought great a two week trial. I know that I cancelled it within the time frame as I only used it twice and all within a week. Well I was checking my Visa statement today and to my surprise I was billed $39.80 which is $49.72 Canadian since that is where I live. When I called they also put all the blame on me and could clearly see I have not used it and said it would never happen again but would not refund me the money. I am beyond mad and angry. I think they make it look like you cancel at the time but in reality they do not put it through! What a scam!

Answer: This is what the site advertised: For 14 day access, $14.95, and for a year $39.80. However, signing up for ANY service aloows the site to store your payment information for further billing, and getting in touch with them, much less obtaining help is nigh impossible. After two weeks they will pull $39.80 MONTHLY from your payment method (please see my review and others on Google and yelp for further verification of this).

Answer: I had to cancel my Debit Card account with Bank of America, because the Bank refused to block LiveCareer from my account. I wonder if they are in cahoots or what? I believe a class action suit may be required so we can get our funds back.
Answer: Call your bank and change your card number Call them and let them know you have contacted your bank and will contact the better business bureau of you don't get a full refund. Then contact the better bBB and file a formal complaint. You will have a refund within a week. That's how I got my money back
