Loved that this website offered templates to work off of in order to build a resume. What I didn't like was the fact that once I downloaded my resume, I couldn't make any tweaks or adjustments through microsoft word. Instead I had to make any changes/adjustments through the website. I ended up downloading at least 10 copies of my resume, each with slight adjustments made according to the job I was applying for. Pretty annoying. However, when I called their customer service department to cancel my membership, Jennifer, the customer support rep, was very courteous, professional, caring and helpful. Great attitude. Because I had such a great CS experience, I will actually reconsider and revisit my membership in the future when they've improved on their downloading features.
I had no idea on how to write my resume in English at first place. However, thanks to this LiveCareer I had no problem in generating my resume in a couple of hours. Besides, first I made a mistake of paying higher rate plan than I originally planned. There was this chatting facility that resolved my concern. She/he accepted my requested and changed my payment plan to a cheaper one which I wanted to purchase.

I subscribed to 14 day trial for $2.95 and tried to cancel on the website. However cancel subscription option is not working as they purposely made it to not to work. So I was charged for the month for $34.95 which is expensive for a resume builder. Hence the 4 starts.
I called the customer service and explained the whole situation. He was very nice and made an exception for me by refunding the full amount and prorated the monthly charges if I wanna use it.
It would have been better if they have the cancel subscription option working as not everyone wants to spend time calling and talk to customer service. Who has that much time. Only reason I don't wanna use their services.
As someone who has always struggled doing a resume this was the best and easiest Resume Builder I have ever used! Excellent website and customer service. I only canceled my service today because I found a position, the customer service rep was very professional an extremely polite! It took a very short amount of time and absolutely painless to cancel my subscription. Thank you so much for Live Career I have a job because of your website and would not hesitate to use it again!

My experience with Live Career was wonderful. Although I have been a small-business owner for many years, I am moving back into the workforce as a teacher. This made my resume quite unique, but I wanted it to show me and my experience in the best light. It's a negative 5... without the "cussing" symbols! They are sneaky! Oh it's "free" to place your resume on one of their many lovely templates... and THAT IS IT! You have to pay to email, download or even print it! Plus, the site kept switching my info around randomly! I kept re-doing and re-doing till it finally accepted it! Then it kept flashing that I had been inactive for over 90 minutes when I JUST FINISHED! Really? AWFUL... I wasted hours out of my day! STAY AWAY!

The ability to print, email, or download your resume are only listed as a feature of the paid subscription and are not listed as a feature of the free trial. We're sorry for any confusion.

The attendant was very efficient and kind. I was able to cancel my account quick. The problem is as I explained to her I did not want to become a member, I only signed for the free 14 days trial. The charge was being made in a card that is a brazilian card so I did not realize it. I did the trial in september 26, so the first 39,80 charge was probably on oct 11. She kindly reimbursed me 3 months, but I was charged for 5 months and I would really appreciate a return of the other 5 months. My account number is *******, Ana Paula Santos Lima

This place is truly horrible! I bought the 1.95 subscription a couple months ago, cancelled it and my account, re logged in today and was charged 40 DOLLARS. This is not what I signed up for! Tried contacting customer service right away and they said they couldn't do anything for me! Will be contacting my bank right away!

They pride themselves on sending email confirmation when you end your subscription. But if they really cared and wanted to have pride they would send an email reminder that your subscription is about to renew and (over) charged $40 for use of their website. This rate is so extreme and slipped in plain view in the paragraph that you are likely to miss it. You can get the 14 day trial for $1.95 then they will start charging you the 15th day. It is not worth it. Make your own resume or go to a builder that is Actually free. They are still claiming to be the number 1 resume builder out there. Who knows how much they have made off people simply missing the deadline or not even realizing what they are signing up for. Please be watchful. They refused to refund my money.

I signed up for the trial and then started getting charged $39.80 a month. Now I'm being charged by Resumenow and LiveCareer which are the same. This last month I was charged 3 times for $39.80. The product is good but not for $120 a month. It took me a couple of months to figure out what was going on because the names were not the same. I am now trying customer service and that doesn't sound very encouraging. Stay away. There have to be more reputable sites out there.

Answer: This is what the site advertised: For 14 day access, $14.95, and for a year $39.80. However, signing up for ANY service aloows the site to store your payment information for further billing, and getting in touch with them, much less obtaining help is nigh impossible. After two weeks they will pull $39.80 MONTHLY from your payment method (please see my review and others on Google and yelp for further verification of this).

Answer: I had to cancel my Debit Card account with Bank of America, because the Bank refused to block LiveCareer from my account. I wonder if they are in cahoots or what? I believe a class action suit may be required so we can get our funds back.
Answer: Call your bank and change your card number Call them and let them know you have contacted your bank and will contact the better business bureau of you don't get a full refund. Then contact the better bBB and file a formal complaint. You will have a refund within a week. That's how I got my money back
