When I joined LiveCareer I fell in love with how easy it was to make a professional resume. What i didn't like was the charge on my account because I, like most bus people, forgot the date of the automatic deduction. When I called, Amalia was very understanding and attentive. She helped me with my account and gave me a discount so I could continue to enjoy the website which will let you apply to jobs from there!

Excellent Customer Service
June 1, 2021

I first used LiveCareer in 2013 and signed up again this year in May having found myself back in the job market. I find the resources to be extremely helpful, from resume and cover letter writing, to career tips and job search leads. Additionally, the customer service is always top notch. The reps thrive to help and don't try to oversell you anything. Highly recommend LiveCareer to anyone in the market looking for work.

Hi Marlon H.,

I’m very sorry that you have had this experience with our service. All of our subscriptions are auto-renewing. We state this on every page in the purchase process and we send a payment confirmation email stating the date and amount of the auto- renewal upon purchase. We do offer several ways to cancel including by phone, live chat, email and self-cancellation in your Account Settings.

I have refunded the last charged of $39.80 as a courtesy. You'll see it on your bank statement within 2-3 business days. I have also sent you a confirmation email for your records.

We are very committed to providing great customer service and again are very sorry that you had this experience. We take all feedback very seriously and hope that you will reconsider your star rating and negative review of our site and service. Please contact me directly if you have any further issues. You can email me at anna.b@livecareer-support.com

Refund requested
June 2, 2016

I had previously had confirmation that my account had been cancelled at my request but was shocked to see two payments had been taken from my account. Hector Carranza quickly checked the details and organised for my account to be closed down sending an email to confirm, and reassured me that my refund has been processed. Great customer service, very polite and responsive. Not sure went wrong the first time I requested this. Good job I checked my bank statement.

They keep sucking money from my account even though I have not use them for over two years!

I stopped the payment last year, when they try to get money from my account, they did it again this year, I only sign up a subscription once, and I remember selected no for continues subscription, if I have not used their service for over two years, and has not pay money for the last two years, how can they still getting money from my account!?

Like thousands of others I used this to quickly build a resume and paid the $2 and then immediately called to cancel. It's now the next month and my account was overdrawn by $40 by LiveCareer. Let me be clear... THIS IS FRAUD. I stayed on the phone for almost an hour to cancel. Now I'm still unemployed and my bank account is empty.

Hi Haley H, I’m very sorry that you have had this experience with our service. We explain that the subscription is auto-renewing. The auto renewal is listed with the features of the 14 day subscription on the sales page, as well as on the payment and confirmation pages. We also send a payment confirmation email stating the date and amount of the auto- renewal. We do offer several ways to cancel including by phone, live chat, email and self-cancellation in your Account Settings.

Cancellation stops the auto-renewal. Once it’s cancelled, we send a cancellation confirmation email for your records. There are times that auto emails can get picked up as spam or junk mail. Be sure to check your spam/junk mail folder.

We are very committed to providing great customer service and again are very sorry that you had this experience. We take all feedback very seriously. It will be forwarded to our Marketing team. Please contact me directly if you have any further issues. You can email me at customerservice@livecareer.com or or check your inbox since I already send you a message to be able to assist you further more.

STAY FAR AWAY
July 20, 2015

This is one of those websites that lures you in with a simple low fee, and then deceptively charges you a whooping 40 bucks without sending you an email notifying anything sort of transaction. This kind of business practice is unacceptable.

Additionally, when I contacted live chat for support, the operator, known as "Ran", was EXTREMELY rude and unhelpful. Absolutely awed in his or her level of unprofessionalism as a customer service rep. There was nothing but arguments and a refusal to see the facts as they present themselves.

Stay FAR FAR away from this website. There are much better options out there, but this one is akin to that of a scam site.

I initially used Live Career sometime ago, then cancelled, however, recently I needed this service again, I can't tell you enough how important it is to have a "stand-out" resume! I was commended on my resume and all the information that was contained in it, it also allowed me to personalize it for that "stand out" effect not to mention it stood out among the rest! It was well worth the money and time I invested to have me obtain my current position, thank you Live Career!

I have used Live Career several times when I've needed to update my resume and construct cover letters. With all of the choices for creating a resume it makes them appear very professional. The tech support was great when I needed help. The cancellation process is so easy. I have come back several times. I wouldn't use any other service and have referred several people.

Site is very good with all the drop down sentences and key words.

I had problems editing the resume in WORD when you add a line or more bullets the line graphics that break up the different sections does not move down with the added line so in screws up the layout of the document. I had to go back into the site to do the editing.

Worst Service Ever
May 10, 2016

I agree with what has beed discussed by others. The site states that you will be billed $1.95 for a 14 day trial. However, upon signing up I was charged 27.60 GBP Pounds immediately. Although the site does say the charges will recur at $9.95 weekly every four weeks they immediately charge the $39.80 and do not refund charges. If you can cancel at any time, the first charge should be refundable and only the initial $1.95 should be charged. This is a scam and not as advertised. No one should be charged $39.80 until AFTER four weeks have passed. I know that I was charged $39.80 before my initial 14 days even expired, never received and never received an email confirming my subscription or the original $39.80. I agree, this is definitely fraudulent billing.

EXPERIENCE WITH CUSTOMER SUPPORT
June 10, 2016

I have had to call twice and have received above average support. The agents are very polite, knowledgeable and patient. The online template tool has some flaws in its design for the average user particularly the formatting tool is exasperating. I could sense the support team are well aware of the issue and will go above and beyond to put the customer at ease and diminish the negative impact. I did notice a definite difference in product knowledge between my first tech and my second tech, but a similarity in their language module. I would suggest that you drop the scripted language and allow them to humanize the process, otherwise, you will stifle their creativity and they will become unproductive and dissatisfied.

Scam..
April 23, 2015

I use this service to make my boyfriend a resume. For initially $1.95 but later charged his bank account for $59.49 after the 14 day trial. Upon signing up for the service I was told they will be charged $6.99 a month. I called customer service which was no help she couldn't even tell me what my monthly rate was supposed to be and even if you add up 699 per week it still doesn't add up to $59.49 this service is just a scam please be aware they will take your money and will not return it.

I paid 19.99 for what I thought was a cover letter. I finished it and sent it in, only to find the following two months I was charged 39.99 for other services like a resume that I was not aware I had purchased. There was no email or indication that I was being charged until I checked my bank statements. So buyer beware!
