This company is not concerned or sorry about stealing money from thousands of people. They will say, "We're very sorry for your experience. Please contact us directly, blah, blah, blah." When you contact them directly, it's an even further waste of your time because they will just give you the run-around and explain that "you KNEW you were signing up for a subscription." Ummm... no, I don't think most people will pay $40 a month to be able to edit a resume. This company is a scam! Buyer beware. You will think you're only being charged $1.95 to print your resume, when in reality you are signing up for a subscription. Of course, you don't find out about the $1.95 fee until you've already spent time creating your resume. The FREE, FREE, FREE that's plastered all over their website is FALSE ADVERTISING!
I first came across LiveCareer's resume builder four years ago. After a 14 year hiatus I needed to write a resume, and found the task daunting.

What ever you do, DON'T USE THIS SITE! It is a huge scam. I signed up for the 14 day trial and was told that I would be charged $1.95. I received my credit card bill and they have charged me $39.80 plus a $0.79 foreign transaction fee. I never got a courtesy email about my account being automatically renewed, and my credit card was charged without me knowing. I am livid because I was never informed that I would be charged this money and I was led to believe that my subscription would expire at the end of the 14 day trial. I want my money refunded! I am a college student and $40 is a hard blow to my bank account.

I used them to compose a resume, which was an okay experience. Later, I did not renew my one-year membership, and was told when I cancelled they could give me a shorter membership if I needed it. Today, I tried to reactivate my membership for less than one year, and was told they couldn't help me! So, this paying customer will never use their business again; it seems like greed, not customer service.

I believe this was advertised as free. Now I feel like I am being hi-jacked into paying after I spent my time. It not a problem that you charge, but this should me prominently displayed. I was trying to get the cover letter and it just kept cycling and I wasn't sure if the application was malfunctioning.

I just recently discovered that I was being charged for something I did not agree to since April 2015. Along with many other customers you've been able to scam, I, too, wanted the $1 trial with no obligation. Instead I find that it has cost me over $200 to try this $1 service. And yes you may have emailed me the $1 charge confirmation, but not the $39.80 you were actually going to charge. Very Sneaky! I would like to have all my money back. You can check your files to see that I have not used any of your services since the initial trial. Over 500 bad reviews with the same scenario? Not a good business at all, well, good at scamming. Not a reputable business is what I mean.

Typical sign up, don't read the fine print because we don't have the time to read every end user license agreement or terms of service these days. If we did, we would never get off the computer. They start taking huge sums of money from your account. Big enough to have an impact, small enough that a lot of people won't notice. Around $40 per month. When you contact them saying this is bogus, they don't care. They aren't in this to have a long-term reputable company, they are in it for the quick scam.
They are not a business. I am forced to put 1 star on here, but the reality is they don't act like a business, more like a smooth talking con artist that takes money from old people. Con job in and out, through and through.

This website does not clearly state that you will be charged to print or download the resume that you may have spent a lot of time figuring out how to do on their template and setting up your resume. What happens is you use their template to create a resume and then after all of the work you do you go to print it or download it and another window comes up charging you to do so. It's not worth the trouble.

Answer: This is what the site advertised: For 14 day access, $14.95, and for a year $39.80. However, signing up for ANY service aloows the site to store your payment information for further billing, and getting in touch with them, much less obtaining help is nigh impossible. After two weeks they will pull $39.80 MONTHLY from your payment method (please see my review and others on Google and yelp for further verification of this).

Answer: I had to cancel my Debit Card account with Bank of America, because the Bank refused to block LiveCareer from my account. I wonder if they are in cahoots or what? I believe a class action suit may be required so we can get our funds back.
Answer: Call your bank and change your card number Call them and let them know you have contacted your bank and will contact the better business bureau of you don't get a full refund. Then contact the better bBB and file a formal complaint. You will have a refund within a week. That's how I got my money back
