I'm still getting 2 statements a month. One from Florida the other from Arizona. I dealt with lincare of Athens, Tennessee. I sent copies to ALL 3 from my credit union almost 2 YEARS age, and another last week to Lincare of Athens. This is harrassing and very stressful to deal with. They have threatened to turn me over to collection company. I have were there check cleared my credit union and this is still going on. When is it time to sue?
As the title states, its as simple as that. However, this does not erase the wrong in the length of time it took. I wish we as customers could charge late fees to company's that pay late.
I still would not recommend them.
I was due a refund from this company for almost over a period of 6 months. They never bothered to notify me nor did they bother for me to return a CPAP machine of which was in my personal possession over the course of a year. When I contacted their office, I requested a superbill of what was paid, plus a refund due to me. The operator told me I would receive the refund within 2 weeks. It is now three months and I have STILL yet to recieve. When I called to found out about the holdup, there was an issue with my insurance (?).
I am still trying to get my refund after having had returned the machine. I swear when I change insurances thru an employer, I will PERSONALLY request to not have any dealings with Lincare, EVER!
I hate this incompetent company. I think they're the most incompetent company I've ever dealt with. I'm supposed to be on their auto call list for supplies. I've never gotten a call from them. I have called them 7 times and am told my supplies will be shipped and I should receive them in 7-10 days. I wait 14 days, call again, they tell me they cancelled my order. No matter what they ask for, I do it immediately and try again to get supplies. Again they tell me they're sending them. And again they don't. God forbid they should contact me and tell me there's a problem with my order. This company is a total joke.
Lincare may literally be the worst company I've ever dealt with on billing and customer service. I spent almost a year trying to resolve billing errors between them and my insurance company. Even after two conference calls between all three of us the couldn't get it right. They finally informed my that there was a credit outstanding of almost $700.00 leaving my part at about $400.00 which was correct. I asked the agent if that would be reflected on my next statement to which she replied "yes it will." I received the statement and no credit! When I called back they showed no record of a credit at all. It totally disappeared. Numerous more calls resulted in nothing at all and no resolution. It seems they have a monopoly on home INR testing. The seem to be completely inept and clueless.
I've been trying for months to get my CPAP supplies. All I've gotten is the run-around. They see me in the system but can't access me in the system. I have made 3 trips to the office and multiple phone calls where I got bounced from person to person. Call my healthcare provider who contacted Lincare and got the same runaround I got!
I am currently on hold with these folks, going on 50 minutes, what a shock! What else am I going to do? It has been 6 weeks to the day (11/29/21) that I have been trying to establish an account on LincarePortal. No one, and I mean no one, knows what they are doing, nor do they care. This outfit is an absolute train wreck. But it's not like I have a lot of choices here. Not my first rodeo here, as I have been using a CPAP unit for over 15 years, and fortunately I do not need any supplies. I am just trying to register, per their requirements, so I can track my activity. Obviously, not that big of a deal to them. How these folks stay in business is beyond me.
I been using Lindcare company for my sleep apnea supply since 2014, this company is the worse medical supply. Since I use the company staff turn over and the news ones are the worse, don't know anything, rude, they only know how to discriminate, hang the phone on me. I just head a pacemaker implanted and need a mask that fits me and don't leak air and I can't get one. Finally Monica a person who works there told me to go somewhere else.
The place I leave is an island with not too many resources.
The worst company to deal with in America for CPAP supplies and cooperation with insurance companies. They bet on you saying it's easier to pay than deal with their BS.
Absolutely brutal and Doctors still recommend them..
If I could minus score on Lincare I would. Their customer service via the billing services is horrible. I've had POA's for my mom since early March of this year. My and I filled out paperwork stating they can discuss her invoices with me. I also mailed with these forms both my POA's for mom. Each month I spoke with them they say they having nothing on file. My mom's dementia is worse and she is not able to deal with any thing without getting over whelmed. We canceled her service early May of this year and the machine was picked up couple of days later.
We received a invoice for the month of November. So I call and of course once again they have nothing on file to speak with me. The lady gave me another number to call for help. I've been waiting now for 45 minutes to speak with someone.
I'm so frustrated and just want this taken care of. :(
My doctor put a order in for a new machine for me and after many many calls 2 months later they still can't supply and the lady in the office advised me theyes are on stop credit with their suppliers. Obviously not a company you want to deal with
My insurance bought the Cpap machine but yet I still keep getting billed $48.00 three times a year. I called three years ago when I retired to ask what the charges were for and that my ins had paid for the machine years ago. I was told it was insurance. I told them I did not want it and to cancel it, also wrote a letter stating that fact. I still get billed 3 times a year, $48 each time. I called again to say I had cancelled and do not want billed again. I was told the charges were a service contract. I informed them that the machine was paid by my insurance years ago and it needed straightened out. I had given them my new insurance information last year when it changed but yet they always ask when I call if I still have@@@@@. They never seem to write any information down or change it in the computer. My advice is to stay away from them, stay far far away!
After 5 requests for replacement filters for our SVN. We drove to the office to face to face with them. The office was permanently closed and relocated another 40 minutes away. Thanks for the notice and especially not doing your job, once again, we can't depend on you. Lincare is great for getting you started but following up and getting supplies... you suck.
We deal with Fall River Lincare. I have been hung up on and told they have no way to see if my sister was on their list for delivery or not. They also would say they were checking on the courier and never come back to the phone. My sister needs her tanks to go to the doctor and the courier never came and I was told the order I called in on Monday 13 th was never put in. We have been waiting for 6 months to replace the concentrator we purchased from them 6 yrs ago and to get her a concentrator she can carry. They keep saying the doctor has not sent the orders and I had her other doctor send orders and they still say they never get the orders. Lastly the doctors office was told she was in a donut hole which only applies to medication not medical equipment. Why hasn't medicare gotten rid of this company. They are liars and frauds. That's where all our medicare fraud is.
My story mirrors all the others I have read on this page. After 7 months of trying to get my machine registered and have supplies sent, My doctor has never received any reports. I then found out that the machine wasn't even set up for me although I had been using it for 7 months! I have told Lincare to come and get their CPAP machine. I have called them over 30 times and most times I was told that they couldn't find my file and would call me back. Never once did I get a call back. Couldn't find my file? Don't we use computers these days? I asked if maybe someone put my "paper file" down at the coffee machine and forgot it was there. Lying, scheming mean people. Where does Lincare find so many of these bastards? Minus 100 stars is my rating.
I was a Lincare customer for 3 years and it was an awful experience. Supplies didn't arrive on time, and worse, Lincare will double and triple bill you for the same service; they bill your insurance plan and if the plan doesn't pay immediately, Lincare will write you that your account is past due and if you don't pay within 10 days, they will send you to a collections agency. For me, the problem time and again was that my insurance plan had already paid the bill in full, but Lincare went ahead and sent me bills saying that the amount was not paid and I was past due and they were going to send the bill to a collection agency... Even worse, I had double paid so many bills already that I had a credit -- and rather than refund me that credit, or apply that credit to their next attempt to double bill me, they simply ignored that credit until I called and asked them to send me a refund check. Avoid Lincare at all costs - their fulfillment and billing practices are the worst in the industry
These people are going to have a fatality with their lack of concern about people breathing. Changing delivery days and not notifying or comucating patient's. I had to go all weekend without being told that my tanks were not coming due to my delivery date being changed due to people quiting. Their Durham N. C. office is a joke! Amanda the manager told me. I did get you ordered please on a on call order and I would the the last person to be delivered to. Like she did me a favor. That your Job!
I was referred to this company in 2013 as the provider for a CPAP machine which is used for sleep apnea. My insurance was billed for the unit and I paid the difference. Then monthly they bill and send you new nasal cups, hoses, and other parts to be used with the machine. Again insurance is billed and my co-pay was $15.00 per month. After about a year I quit using the machine and canceled the auto deliver of parts. BUTT, the billings continued month after month even though I was not receiving new supplies. I've lost track of how much was paid over all but estimate in the $1200 to $1500 range (not including insurance). My advise to all. If you are diagnosed and require a CPAP. Do some research on what you need and buy one. Costs start at about $200 and supplies are readily available on line. Just do some research before you get locked into some hidden contract. Also note LINCARE customer service is terrible! The only thing they seem to be good at is billing.
This service is slowly going out of business and it is no wonder. You would think with all the negative comments with this service they would do something to make it better. They don't care how they treat you or that their service is really bad. They can't go out of business soon enough. Nasty customer service. They can't even get their billing right and don't care to help if it is wrong. They'll talk circles around you and want you to do their work. Lazy, inconsiderate customer service!
I have had this company in Elizabeth City, NC for less then one year and looking for a change. I have been spoken to rudely, my calls go unanswered, my request for a portable oxygen generator has been ignored and my paperwork from my physician has been misplaced. Have been waiting for 5 months for my portable gen. Only to find out, I was lied to and it was never ordered AND they have misplaced my Physician's order. What worse service could you want to pay for?
When my mother passed away we tried to contact Lincare to get their equipment returned. They NEVER answered the phone. We had to drive the equipment back to their office (and then were given grief that we didn't call them to schedule a pickup). This company has the worst customer service I've ever encountered. They don't answer the phone and are impossible to deal with. AVOID LINCARE at all costs!
Answer: Yes, Lincare is fraudulent. I finally sent a letter to my Medicare Advantage and also Medicare. The only way to stop this company is to take action. All of our rants and raves are exactly that, rants and raves. Please talk to your insurance company and medicare provider. This company needs to not be in business, especially with such vulnerable customers who depend on them. WA state
Answer: You will not get satisfaction! I have struggled with this company for over one year because of Medicare requirements. Totally exasperating! Buyer beware!
Answer: Really? Then ask someone why I tried for over 3 weeks to get a new c-pap mask and hose from the HOME office in Florida and it never showed up! I'm not indigent like some of your customers, I don't accept incompetence. My sleep clinic simply changed me to a new supplier and I am now very, very happy with them.
Answer: DONNA, I REPLACE THE FILTER BY ASKING MY SUPPLIER, THEY USUALLY ARE VERY ACCOMADATING AND GIVE ME ONE. LINCARE, NORCO, AND SUPPLIER WILL REPLACE IT. I ALWAYS CLEAN THE VENTS MYSELF, BUT I LET THE COMPANY REPLACE IT.
LinCare has a rating of 1.5 stars from 799 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with LinCare most frequently mention customer service, insurance company and portable oxygen. LinCare ranks 44th among Home Care sites.
