The return policy for Light in the Box is shady at best. I ordered a dress - it was too long. I wanted to return it, but would receive 30% of the price back plus I would have to pay shipping back to China which means I would essentially receive $0 back. It was a lovely dress, but their return policies are so deceptively worded that a standard size and color became a "custom" dress although that was not indicated on the website. If you are certain of the size and color, you're probably ok. If not, stay clear. You will lose your money.
All the products I have bought from LightInTheBox were all brilliant. The clothing, although hard to get the ones you like, were great. Only one mishap of size, but it was a really nice material. The service is excellent, they are willing to solve any problem in an orderly manner.
First of all, for all the items purchased by me, the pictures were much more beautiful than the items themselves!
Similarly in the pictures everything seems bigger and better quality...
For clothing items, the sizes are at least strange compared to those in Europe (generally meaning smaller for the same size)
On the last purchase, an item arrived broken even though the whole parcel was properly packed...could it have been sent already broken?
I refrain from recommending the site!

Only one item was nice but was snug in the bust area everything else was either cheap fabric measurements didn't match the size guidelines and I sized up to be safe. Also didn't look like the photos. Also the delivery person.just left the package at the front doorstep where anyone could see and take. Lost a lot of money and have to find something else for my son's wedding in 3 weeks.will not be ordering again. This was my first time buying from you

Their products take a while too get to ya but things that come slow are the best rather then too quick several items of earrings and two rings tell you getting my wedding bands and engagement ring from them as well when time comes and with the right person to share my life with
Any half decent review about this Company must have been paid for. I paid £101.74 for 5 items of clothing and they were all shockingly bad. Nothing looked like the lovely clothing shown in the website and all five garments were very poor quality nylon. I never buy expensive clothing however this was by far the worst quality clothing I have ever seen. I wouldn't even give it to a charity shop. One item damaged and none of the items worth anywhere near what they cost. The whole lot went back which cost me around £17 (on top of the postage I had to pay to get them delivered). I reckon my five items cost no more than £5 in material and to produce. To add insult to injury the parcel got lost in the post so I am considerable amount of money down after this retailer advised me to return the items. Worst online experience ever!

Fingers away from lightinthebox! I should have read the reviews before ordering anything.
I ordered three products 3 weeks ago and they haven't been sent yet! The processing time is suppose to be 1-7 days.
When I'm asking the customer support why my package hasn't been dispatched yet, they just keep pushing the date and apologizing, but in reality nothing is being done. Keep away from this company if you don't want to lose your money and to be stressed all the time.

Ordered a pair of winter boots. Received the product and I was pleased with the item. Price/Quality ratio was OK. However, after trying the boots on, I considered asking for an exchange for a booth a bit larger.
But shipping costs were such that it was not a logical thing to do as final cost of exchanged boots would have rendered the boots too expensive. So, before ordering garments or shoes, one has to make sure that measures are quite exact.
I've only been a customer here for a month; however, I've placed five orders already. The quality, price and selections are phenomenal. I had some initial difficulty navigating and understanding how the process works, but the customer service experience was great and they explained everything. They are both professional and personal. MUCH better than WalMart or other similar stores. Yes, the wait time for processing and shipping may be long, but well worth it in savings.
I purchased 3 pair of cotton pants; nice wide & tailored at the bottom cuff area. These are lovely, lightweight, subdued colours that will go with numerous tops and with the elastic waist, they're so super comfy. The 2 tops I ordered are equally as nice & all items are extremely well made - Love them all & the pricing was great. Shipping was fast & arrived in perfect condition. Am already putting together my next order!
Unique array of products, not often found on other sites, especially at the prices quoted. Relatively simple transaction process, shipping services and time was reasonable, fit and finish of purchased items was great.
For my online clothing experience, LITB cannot be beat. Selections are stylish, and prices are very competitive, especially during their sale events. Transactions are pretty straightforward, and shipping times are very reasonable.

Easy to use search Engine with excellent insight into discounts helped me order the perfect gift. That was my first experience. Products are the same as in the description. Some better quality, some not... optionally... important that the buyer knows it. Feels like customer satisfaction is on the first place. But I don't like this sale 'scam' (put bigger price and huge percentage). If you are regular customer you know the original price.
Purchased a chandelier and notice it was from China. Opening box, found 1/3 of needed pieces to assemble. Contacted company multiple times, spoke to supervisor Rebecca and always got the same excuse. Wanted detail count on pieces missing, detail count on pieces in box, wanted pictures, wanted invoice copy.( they already had). Would not discuss my $200 refund. After the fourth detail demand, they stopped any communication. Do not spend your money with these thieves. WARNING!

I had complained in an earlier review of the poor customer service and the fact the company did not offer a 100% refund on a return. Well, I'm here to say that the company has responded to my complaints and has given me my full refund for a sweatshirt that I was not happy with. They were apologetic and conveyed to me that they were very concerned about customer satisfaction. So I now recommend buying products from this company if you so choose

... you can wait about 2 months for the delivery of your goods. For me this is too much time. If I order a summer dress in July, I don´t want to receive it in September. At least I had no problems to give back items that didn´t fit me. But you must necessarily cover an insurance, because you have to pay customs duties every time. This is my experience. Otherwise you won´t get back your money from light in the box. I know some other chinese online sellers and I never had these problems. But if you are lucky, you can get here really nice clothes for a little money.

Don't be fooled into paying for expedited shipping. The trick is, they can take forever to "process/prepare" before they eventually might ship the item. The earliest projected arrival date listed for my item in order status is two days from now...pretty unlikely, as that's a Sunday and they haven't shipped yet, still "Proccssing" (their spelling) after a week, haven't even made it to "ready to ship." So disappointed, I really wanted my item.

Do not buy from this company. Nothing is as it appears on the site. I've ordered from them twice and and ended up giving everything away. Some I gave to the homeless. Everything is cheaply made and not worth it. Their sizes are so screwed up. I can't imagine anyone giving them a good rating. Their genes are not made of gene material at all. They're flimsy thin silk cheap material. I ordered a size 10 and got a size 14. They fell off me. They look like they were made for a clown.

My daughter ordered her Prom dress and was told she would have it in plenty of time. Well today she was informed it will not even be ready due to the seamstresses being off for some reason. So she cancelled her order on an unmade dress. She just received a response it will take 2 to 3 weeks to return her money. Then another saying she is getting a refund of 0.00? She is owed 260+ dollars. What gives? She is in a panic, unsure if she will even get her money back. I've ordered from Chinese companies before and all went well. Not sure what to think about this situation. Hoping she gets every penny she is owed back. All they did was give her false shipment dates and heartache.

All of the clothing I received was horrible quality and did not look at all like the photo they had online. They were just plain awful and the sizing was a joke. I received an XL shirt that would not fit a small person and a Med shirt (was supposed to be the same shirt as the XL) and the medium was literally larger than a 4x One was a terrible quality plain sweatshirt with a sticker posted on it and the other was a draping long gown like garment. I was appalled.would recommend finding a different company.
